Morning all - so good to see you back Zembo, I hope you had an amazing time. Plum - sorry to hear you don't feel well, and about your worries re DS. I hope you at least get to find out what the issues are today. One of my best friends is currently up at the hospital with her eldest DS who has up until now been the model of a healthy child (colds etc aside). He has been in for 10 days and the doctors still aren't sure whether he has a virus or it is a first appearance of asthma, but every time they take him off the oxygen his sats drop. I know she will be shattered, as you get no sleep in hospital (as some of you ladies will sadly know) through a combination of random 'hospital' noise, and worry about your DC. Unfortunately she lives in Glasgow, or I would try and get round to spend some time with her 2 youngest and do some stuff around the house for her. Feel
I can't help more.
This morning was my first day back in my usual routine since 21st December. It's fair to say that I haven't missed having to leave the house at 6 20am!! I was in work for a day last week, but dropped DD off at school and did a short day. Will be propping eyes open with matchsticks tonight, as I didn't sleep well last night (never seem to on Sunday night - does anyone else get that?)
Am wearing new skirt today to cheer me up - here. Wearing with blue fitted jumper, black opaques and heels plus cropped aquamarine Jigsaw jacket. Like you Everything I have been good this month (although not quite as good!), and that skirt is all I have bought. I do keep on thinking about the fact I have my personal shopping session to book, and that is putting me off buying anything else, as it seems a bit unnecessary. Doubtless I may end up adding some of my own funds to the personal shopping session (DH has included a generous 'allowance' but I am sure I will end up wanting a few things when I have the opportunity for a long trying on session - particularly things I don't usually try.
I have been mentally flicking through the frocks in my wardrobe (of which, like LTEC, I have quite a few....) and have earmarked a couple of contenders for the meet-up dress. The twp I have in mind so far are complete opposites of each other. One relatively sober (charcoal grey) but uber-flattering, and the other edging towards WAG-tastic. A KM number that I have had for a few years, but people always comment on (positively!) when I drag it out of the wardrobe. Unstated it ain't though....purple snakeskin with sequins anyone?! I know - it sounds rank, but somehow I think it works. DH chose it for me, so I figure it can't be too outrageous as he is generally more conservative than me where clothes are concerned. I may need to invest in either shoes or handbag for the night, as I don't spend much on either and may need to up my game.
Will book the meet-up hotel later to cheer myself up.
