I'm guessing a lot of you know about us shipping address but just in case! May help us broaden our horizons (and reduce our costs Grin)

MarshaBrady · 04/12/2010 16:35

If you have been to a swisho party recently....

What did you take to hand over as you were ushered in?

Bottle of?.... Or...

Am feeling groggy after last night. Heating has been on all day but feel sooo cold. Need to refresh!

I will adore you if that is true. Is in a house.

Probably should have said that!

notyummy · 04/12/2010 18:02

Hi all*

Vin - I am sure that people won't think any the less of you for not attending. I am sorry that you cannot get to the meet up (although neither can I!) I really hope you get this resolved with P soon - anyone who doesn't 'let' you go places obviously has major issues.

LTEC - Well done on the party prep - and Zembo - am loving the sound of the paw prints!

Marsha - A bottle of something v nice, plus some really special chocolates (salted aramels/charbonnel and walker....or tbh Green and Blacks work as well I think.)

Roma - Well done on Xmas whirlwind! I have one more present to wrap (it is delayed in post at the mo) so am feeling slightly smug. LOTS of cooking to do though..... Have just finished coordinating food deliveries to menus.

notyummy · 04/12/2010 18:04

If the party is in a private house then I always take something, regardless of how 'swish' it is supposed to be. Not sure if that is Debretts or not though!

MarshaBrady · 04/12/2010 18:08

Thanks NY. It was probably me missing out house info!

Got to get something. Last minute wotwot

AllBuggiedOut · 04/12/2010 19:03

choo you need one of these

blossoming · 04/12/2010 19:12

Hi everyone!
I've just been joined in my carriage by very drunken football supporters, grim indeed. Should be in Chester soon though.

It was lovely to meet carciofi today, a darker haired Julianne Moore for reference! Had a great lunch in Carluccios.
But the crowds in the shops? Atrocious.
Bought my Christmas present from dh in tiffanys!

LetThemEatCake · 04/12/2010 19:12

I always take bottle of champers on night and then send thank you card and gift afterwards. Lots going on when hosting, can be a bit annoying to be having to deal with welcomes, taking coats, stashing offerings, handing out drinks etc. More headspace to process gratitude of guest after event.

Party big success Smile

Lol at dt's perception of glossy slick types. Think we are all pretty normal actually. Attendees have been remarkable for their down
to earthness. Deffo an excuse to wear nice dress though

Fleecy · 04/12/2010 19:27

Glad your party went well cake and your meet up bloss and carciofi

I've decided to get my 2011 diary now before I forget and all the nice ones are gone. Where should I be looking please, oh wise ones?

geordieminx · 04/12/2010 19:32

Hey ladies.

Lovely day here, hamleys for breakfast with Santa claus, then lunch/shopping in Glasgow.

Ordered a lovely pair of black heeled boots from aldo, to replace knee highs which are looking a bit battered.

Wore Janice with black opaques, boots and black biker jacket ( that I bought with my first ever wage 12 years ago)

Have also bought new sofa(s) and 50inch tv but that'd a bit (yawn)

LTEC you still haven't fessed up as to what you have bought that has dented the budget for a while Grin

Romanarama · 04/12/2010 19:35

I've just made a new friend, taking ds3 to a party Smile. Total blizzard has made most of today a write off, and still sad that best friend had to cancel trip, but we're going to see a woody Allen film now to salvage the day. I will be very unstylish as it's truly freezing, but will be topped with shearling or one of the maxmaras, so could be worse.

The kempinski in Istanbul is indeed lovely choo but rather ??? so I think we'll be somewhere much lower key than that. I'm trying to stick to a budget! . We got quite cheap flights (?2600 for 5 isn't bad right?), and free accommodation in dubai, so don't want to ruin everything.

Romanarama · 04/12/2010 19:35

I really like that P&J dress vin

LetThemEatCake · 04/12/2010 19:49

Evening.

Glad party went well LTEC and am sure cake looked fantastic.

Am pretty exhausted as have spent all day at School fayre - doing lots of heavy lifting etc and didn't sit down for 8 hours.

Quite irritated actually by number of parents who don't offer even 20 mins help but rock-up to enjoy the fayre [grumble grumble]. Did have quite a giggle though especially after one kind father started bringing round the mulled wine. Also incredibly impressed by the charm and delightful manners of the 10 year olds at DS1's school.

Have drunk a little prosecco since getting home and am enjoying smug feeling of having 'contributed' Wink

DH not so happy though as he feels ill and Bea poorly. But as I've come home, tidied up, got the children ready for bed and made dinner he seems to have cheered up a bit.

LetThemEatCake · 04/12/2010 19:53

Oh Geordie it's too dull to mention. Blush

Or could be vaginal nip tuck

Who knows Grin

LOL at LTEC's double vaginal post Grin

Hells - goodness knwos what I'll wear for meet-up. Probably jeans and goat cardi-coat if it still freezing.

hellsbelles · 04/12/2010 20:14

yes - I think Cake is trying to tell us something Grin

Tracey - glad it went well. Though it must have been very tiring. You deserve more than a little prosecco

geordieminx · 04/12/2010 20:14

No way!!!!!!!!!!!! Am Blush.

Wink
eshermummy · 04/12/2010 20:48

Choo I'm not sure about Ugg Kensingtons either. I tried on my friend's and they were EXTREMELY warm but I think they might be a bit too Uggy for me. I'm a 37/4 anyway but thanks for offering them to me.

Am a bit Shock at your 8 hours at school fayre Tracey. Well done you! I did a 1 hour stint at mine today (was plenty Blush)

Glad Bloss and Carciofi had a lovely lunch together.

Am a bit Confused about Cake's extravagant purchase. I mean, how much is a vajazzle these days?

traceybath · 04/12/2010 20:49

Esher - do you watch [whispers] The only way is essex? I love that programme Blush

eshermummy · 04/12/2010 20:55

Tracey I have only seen about 3 minutes - I don't quite understand it tbh, Are the people actors or real people?

I really liked the really skinny, obv gay, hairdresser (I think) junior guy in it with the silly hair (with the ridiculous laugh) though.
