Yangy. How old is dd? Mine 13 mths and has sheepskin boots (not rubber soles)...as she is in pushchair in this weather, or has wellies (size 4) which she wears with massive welly socks to keep them on if having a mooch in garden...I tried to find full length snow suits for her age but they were horrid, so she has waterproof trousers which she wears over lined trousers and with thick tights underneath...a zip up fleece with several layers underneath, and down coat with fleece lining and hat, mittens which keeps her v toasty...

Foolishly went out without my hat earlier as sun shining and...big mistake!

Oh loving all the stuff in Jigsaw at the moment...Tracey, was it you who had the sequin cardi from there...the grey is lovely.

carciofi · 30/11/2010 13:04

Bunny, your babies are gorgeous (and so is Delie), congratulations! You look fab.

DD is not well and so neither of us got much sleep last night. I am haggard in old Uggs, skinny jeans and about four tops.

Thanks for thinking of me NY but saw too many pleated chino horrors when living in the US so they are not for me! I haven't put on any weight so far, not sure if that is good or bad but don't need maternity clothes yet.

Yangy, I don't think they would be waterproof enough even if sprayed with protector.

Good luck, Blossoming!

bloss Teaching outfit sounds great! Drive safely!

cake Hope you feel better until you are going out tonight. As for outfit: layers, layers, layers!

I've just ordered this in grey. So typical that I don't buy a coat/jacket for years and then two in a week. But there is so much snow here and being cold makes me really miserable.

dolcee Enjoy your meal a deux! Your DD is so cute.

Anyone still contemplating the Feathers Dress - further reductions! Here.

I think I would need a 10, so no good for me.

No worries Carciofi - you are right, chinos def need to be worn with the right attitude.

Good luck Bloss.

AllBuggiedOut · 30/11/2010 13:10

Lol marsha - I had that with DS1 a couple of years ago at pre-school. Yet again, DS2 is Joseph in the school production which I'm hoping will be more traditional Wink

These which are sheepskin lined (also in leather) are good for DCs in cold climates.

Nutty are you coming to meet-up?
would love to know if we would would have a Shock omg it's YOU moment! Grin

traceybath · 30/11/2010 14:39

Esher - how was your Friday night down the pub? And keep meaning to ask are you feeling better about the school stuff?

monkeysmama · 30/11/2010 15:31

Hey all

Quick wave from me.

MrsJ have sent you message and paypalled you.

Choo can you link to the Max Mara coat again? I can't find it and am swooning imagining it.

Today I've purchased snow boots Esher recommended on another thread (I promise I don't copy everything you wear Esher Blush Blush) and finally a North Face parka. I was going to go with the one from the US Roary suggested but dp really likes the North Face one so I've stopped dithering and it should arrive tomorrow.

Topshop waxed jeans arrived for dsis. Am nervous she won't like them but will see.

That's it for now - van with my new sofa has just arrived. Will catch up later.

Oh, how could I forget Bunny! So happy to read your post and see the pics. Perfect. And Grin at your dp re pumpkin/princess.

roary · 30/11/2010 15:57

Hello hello
Having a lovely visit with my mom.

MM I was too sick to write about my outrage on your behalf about that ridiculous party. honestly, why can't children be allowed to go their own way without having these things forced upon them? I know that there is a good chance DD will choose pink and sparkly on her own but until then she's getting a mix of everything and indeed has no princess gear, ONLY pirates (I have an official work interest in pirates which makes it extra funny).

Bunny love your little blog. You are so glam! And your little girls all lovely.

LTEC and Bonsoir and other sickies hope you are feeling better soon. I'm still gradually going back to normal, appetite finally back today.

ABO the J.Crew order is fab. The real winners are this jumper and this one but in a rust colour now sold out. ALso got this lovely mini and a bunch of t-shirts.

Autumns, including ABO I did try to branch out with the t-shirt but colour looks great on me but I totally hate the colour. It makes me feel nauseous. I like it in the skirt but hate it otherwise. If you want this t-shirt pm me your address and I'll send it!

OK, that's enough from me :)

Back from school run, phew. House now festooned with various bits of kits all over the rads drying for tomorrow!

Am so glad I bought the dds their snowboots last week. I was already too late for the Nest ones which were very nice and a good price but sold out - they may have some very small sizes left though if anyone has a small toddler girl needing footwear.
So I managed to get these for dd1 which seem to have gone down well although I would have preferred velcro fasteners to laces. DD2 on the other hand has these monstrosities which I imagine must be Bunny and maybe Bonsoir's idea of children's footwear hell! They do look surprisingly cute on as dd2 has little pipe cleaner legs!

MM am so glad you bought the Romika boots. I really hope you like them. I have been wearing mine today (was out shopping in the snow earlier too) and my feet were wonderfully dry and toasty. I have been banging on about them on every winter boot thread and was starting to think I was talking to myself Wink

Tracey - Friday's pub was ok. In the end I wore black rats and weirdy black fine wool All Saints dress (well, it was described as a dress but it is waaaay too short for me as such so I wear as tunic/top). Black suede shoeboots natch so pretty dark and gothic.
Can you believe I'm supposed to be out at another pub tonight - slightly different vibe though, no pub-singer Wink, more home counties sedate - for dd2's nursery drinks.
Am thinking of wearing this dress with thick black slightly glossy leggings, boots as yet undecided (quite a lot of snow here and may walk up to pub). Was in M&S earlier today and saw this which is a dead ringer for my Luella dress. I didn't buy as is too similar but am hoping they might do a navy or khaki version.

Simply haven't given dd1's school stuff much thought of late - am going to sit tight till Feb which is next parents evening and see what they say. In the meantime I am making a bit more effort with homework etc, though not ridiculously so.

Zembo · 30/11/2010 16:40

Who was it that was looking at the oakley - it's in the sale.

Thanks for all your lovely words ladies, I'm doing okay I think. Busy trying to do bits and bobs for my DSs 2nd birthday - he's having a teddy bears picnic and I'm currently making picnic baskets for his little friends (strawberry picking baskets - made DH drive to a farm to get them, lined in red gingham fabric) - it's a right palava and taking an age to do!

Glad to hear you're eating again Roary and well done on purchases.

MM I've been thinking about CHOO's coat everyday since she linked to it Grin

NY my DD is Mary!!!! She's so shy, as long as she has to sit there meekly holding a baby doll, she'll be ok I think Smile
