Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
traceybath · 30/11/2010 10:19

Oh I was thinking JD too.

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2010 10:20

haha was going to ask if he was bloated Wink

Awww not really, bet he is lovely.

notyummy · 30/11/2010 10:21

Ah! I was wrong, but now know who you mean. I used to like him!

Bonsoir · 30/11/2010 10:22

JD's children are at ISP! Different school.

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2010 10:24

I would find it hard not to feel a little faint at the sight of JD at the school gate.

Will have to think about which ones are at your school Bonsoir.

Bonsoir · 30/11/2010 10:26
notyummy · 30/11/2010 10:28

Have given in and ordered the coated jeans:

black&pageSize=20 Here. Not sure if they will be too shiny and therefore add pounds to my bottom. Will see.

Whilst I was looking at TS, I spotted these and thought they could be a potential bargain for Carcofi?

Bonsoir · 30/11/2010 10:30
MarshaBrady · 30/11/2010 10:34

Ah yes may have taken me a while to guess that Grin.

No one famous at our school (unfortunately). I'd love that little bit of excitement as they do a stall...

TraceyB I remember there is a tv? person at yours...

notyummy · 30/11/2010 10:44

BTW ladies - who has DCs in nativity plays?

DD is a donkey (no sniggers at the back there!) Luckily she is delighted as we had talked about the sort of things she might be, and had mentioned being a donkey. (3 classes combined for the play, so the likelihood of being Mary were quite slim - I did some expectation management!!)

I have chickened out and ordered a donkey costume from Tesco. Have made the tail myself though! Hope it arrives by Friday, which is when we are supposed to have the labelled costume in school by. Eek!

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2010 10:49

Ooh me.

Ds1 is... wait for it.. Joseph. I was like, all yehoo for you ds well done Grin. You're Joseph!! Joseph!!

He finds the stage overwhelming so I was like, cripes that is impressive!

Then read the script and it was one of those off-piste funny ones where the camel is the main part Grin.

Costumes provided by the school!

pickledsiblings · 30/11/2010 11:06

Marsh LOL at you and the Joseph thing, I'd have been just the same. Costumes provided by the school here too. DS2 is some kind of animal.

Bunny Thank you so much for sharing your lovely photos. DD1 seems so happy and content to be a big sister. I'm sure you're glad to be home and surrounded by your home comforts. It's great that your two new girls are being on their best behaviour - long may it continue Smile.

Driving in the snow is s-c-a-r-y! Totally lost control of the car due to bad bad pheasant. Those of you that are at home ill and so avoiding the school run count yourselves lucky Wink.

DolceeBanana · 30/11/2010 11:06

We have a Sheep (DS) and a Snowflake (DD), although DD knows all the lines to the play anyway, so we shall see how they manage to curtail the enthusiasm on the day. Hmm

Have lit a beautiful fire and am making muffins....coat is so toasty I am really happy with mine too.

DD2 and I are going to pop out for a walk in the snow then come back for some homemade soup (Minestrone). Smile

Enjoy the snow and stay warm...and Bunny, so glad it's going well, and nice and calmly....Smile Do make every effort to rest. I like the Indian method where new mothers rest for 40 days Wink

OllieWollieWoo · 30/11/2010 11:07

Bonsoir I got YN straight away (impressed myself!)

Yey for Marsha Jr - sadly the Dutch don't do nativity/xmas plays - it was one of the first (of many) unhelpful things my Mum said to me when we explained we were moving over here!

Back from shopping trip - not a snow boot to be had anyhere - well, not for less than 70 euros! Boys will have to make so with wellies and some awful ski socks I picked up in H&M with Lightening Mcqueen on them - which of course they will be thrilled with. Also picked up a CD as part of DH's Sinterklaas present - DS2 is very easy to distract with a box of raisons!

OllieWollieWoo · 30/11/2010 11:14

Ooooh if ear muffs are good enough for WIT, then they are good enough for me!

DolceeBanana · 30/11/2010 11:16

Could some kind soul please link to WIT agin for me. I can't seem to find her. Thanks

Here you go Dolcee here

DolceeBanana · 30/11/2010 11:19

NY - I did laugh at your post....I had eventually, very well managed disappointment issues when DS was a sheep, sheep, sheep for 3 years running.......

DolceeBanana · 30/11/2010 11:19

Thanks OWW...right, off to post some letters...(excuse to wear coat again!!!)

FritziGreenEyes · 30/11/2010 12:09

bunny Thanks for sharing your photos. The pics of your two newborns almost made me well up, they are scrumptious! Can't believe you just had twins, you look amazing and so relaxed!

bonsoir I don't even have to try to solve the celeb puzzle, I'm hopeless at these things. Love MM and Don Draper too. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Last year DD was a snowflake in the nativity. I rustled up a costume working until 2am! The play was open air at the local christmas market and due to some mysterious delay they made the children stand on the stage for 30minutes before they had even started. One snowflake started to cry and all the other snowflakes had to be carried off stage one by one. Was lovely to see them all sitting on their dads' shoulders though Smile.

blossoming · 30/11/2010 12:17

Wish me luck ladies. I'm about to go a-teaching. I have an hour's drive, and it's snowing here. The school is on the coast though. Don't think they have snow there.

I'm wearing Boden merino roll neck dress in magenta, grey cable tights and (if I can get away with it), my snow boots. Otherwise, some other boot. But smart.

I'm carrying my books in a Gucci tote.

Hi to everyone. I'm in a mad panic as it's the Christmas fair on Thursday, and I'm running behind. This today..
But thinking about you all. Love to hear about your days.
Hope you're doing okay zembo.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos bunny.

blossoming · 30/11/2010 12:19

Oh, keep the nativity stories coming. I love them!

hellsbelles · 30/11/2010 12:27

oh it seems WIT has an affiliate link for that FC jacket (so she'll make some money if anyone buys it)...which is fair enough I suppose - I wouldn't expect her to blog for free.

AT work today so very busy.

Bunny - all sounds so wonderful. I love the wonderful pics and you look as beautiful as ever.

Plum - very tempted by the Durberry boots. As I don't really use the car much in London I'm constantly walking everywhere so they may be a worthwhile investment . I have some lovely normal boots but I don't want them to get ruined with the snow and grit.

OWW - you are far far too nice

so sorry some of you won't be able to make the the meet up but perhaps the next one?

I'm racking my brains for where to go - though I'm not good on lunchtime venues as I never really go out for that sort of thing. Where have you been so far that has been a success?

LTEC/Bonsoir - sorry you are both suffering. I have a poorly and very moany DH at home. He has a constant hangdog look on his face which is half endearing/half hugely annoying.

right better get back to work.

traceybath · 30/11/2010 12:35

DS1 is an innkeeper. He was a shepherd at pre-school and loved being on stage so much he had to be dragged off quite literally.

Right am all dressed in charcoal stripey knit dress with crumpet charcoal cardigan on top. Cosy and reasonable chic I think [deluded]

Oh and I've succumbed to the outnet again. Hells have you worn yours much?
