ltec thanks for the doll explanation..have a story that may creep you out even more.last time in f.a.o schwarz(big toy store)in NYC had to stop to feed dd2.assistant directed me to rocking chair in the midst of dolls like the ones you describe.there was a 'nurse' taking care of them in their hospital cots the majority of people perusing were middleaged women for themselves.highly weird.

the whole doll debate does make me laugh though.just visited a friend who wrote a thesis on the evils of Barbie..and of course her daughter loves them!

Vin there's a lovely Bonpoint on Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina in Rome, just by Ciampini on the piazza for a cappuccino or prosecco, depending on the time of day. Or perhaps a cappuccino before shopping, and a prosecco after? Bottega Veneta on the other corner too, for days when you're feeling flush.

vin really like the red dress, fab fab colour. I tried 'you' Ruby Woo MAC lipstick but it was a bit too matt for me. Went for a very similar colour though (MAC red) in a slighly glossy finish (can't remember the word for slightly glossy!)

this red dress arrived today and will be going back. I thought the pleat would be stiff (origami, no??) but it's floppy and annoying. Plus I ordered the 10 which is about right on my huge bottom but gapes hugely up top and indecently exposes me.

I think I am just going to have to accept that I am destined to be an LBD girl.
