Zembo - you take care of yourself and see how it goes/how you feel on Monday. Everyone is different but you may find you welcome the distraction of work.

We're all up early again and off shopping this morning to look at wii's or some such thing as apperently DS1 is the only child in his class without one Hmm Whilst DH and the children have breakfast there I will nip off to do some more xmas shopping as really need to get it all done and wrapped in the next couple of weeks.

Esher and MM Shock at poo stories. But loved your DD's comment on the painting Smile

OllieWollieWoo · 20/11/2010 07:12

Morning. Glad you will be taking it easy today Zembo and pat on the back for Mr Zembo for taking good care of you.

Nice day planned - Sinterklaas arrives in our neighbourhood this morning - on a boat before getting on his horse for a big parade so we will walk down to the river to see him arrive. Out tonight for meal with friends who are leaving shortly - supposed to be going to my favourite restaurant but babysitter has cried off with stress (she is 18!) and both the back up babysitters are busy. Will try and work something out today tho.

hf128219 · 20/11/2010 07:47

Morning ladies. Have great days. I am going to be brave and take dd Christmas shopping. Fancy a bit of retail therapy!

Smile

Zembo Look after yourself too.

hf128219 · 20/11/2010 07:48

That was the question - do you need to take the 20% off email to Space NK or is the discount on anyway? Hells?

Can't get the printer to work!

hf128219 · 20/11/2010 08:04

Selfridges are doing a 20% off promo if you register <a class="break-all" href="//99www.selfridges.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/UserRegistrationForm?langId=-1&storeId=10052&msg=&catalogId=12151&krypto=cP8Afi1iY1lXZresBkM%2BPCUyKzwEMeUqUuKlHC6v6CRGomwUDJFv8x%2FtkSf38pFu&ddkey=http:GalleryTemplate1/?cm_mmc=Email--101119ffregister--all-_-registerNow" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here

Not sure if it works if you are already registered!

AllBuggiedOut · 20/11/2010 08:56

Take care zembo.

Off RL shopping today; DH & I have a party tonight to the boys are being looked after by my parents and we're hitting the west end. Enjoy your weekends everyone.

And quickly, bloss or anyone else good at finding winter colours, I need a secret santa present, costing no more than £10 for a winter gal. Any ideas please? I know she'd quite like a ring, a chunky bright pink bangle or a fuscia and black necklace. Has anybody seen anything please? TIA. Must go and pack now. J Crew sequins may well be making their debut tonight Smile

Have fun ABO!

I'm off to football - clash of the north London rivals. I'll be suitably overdressed with my outwear at least - my big black boiled wool coat and cloche black hat. Dp says I look like I should be in Brief Encounter (which I take as a compliment)

Have good days everyone. Zembo I hope you have a peaceful day.

hellsbelles · 20/11/2010 09:48

HF - I had the loyality card which got me the 20% - not sure sure how else it works.

Thanks for the selfridges tip off.

I've woken up with swollen eyes - must be from one of the many products loaded onto my face! We've got in-laws today so I better get cracking on the tidying up.

Zembo - Is there no way DH could do the swimming/parties? Tucked up in bed with some books and perhaps a laptop might be a more gentle option? Please please be careful.

Right - really must go - also got to bake choc chip cookies. DS wanted a treat yesterday and I gave him an oreo. He turned his nose up and refused - he only likes home made ones now Hmm

hellsbelles · 20/11/2010 09:49

MM - meant to say 'loving your DD's work'!! That is a classic.

I've lived in London all my life and have yet to have a poo encounter!!

Hells Thanks!

Vin Loafers?

carciofi · 20/11/2010 10:34

Vin was also going to say loafers, maybe with a small heel?

Zembo, I am glad that your DH is taking good care of you.

MM and Esher that is so vile! I saw a guy do that on the subway in NY once. I got off at the next stop and changed carriages!

zembo- hope you can relax today and that your DH is looking after you.

vino- your NAP dresses are gorgeous (albeit totally out of my price range). To be honest, I'm not keen on those studded Bertie shoes.
Could you not wear a slight heel with your work trousers- maybe some court shoes with a little heel? It also feels more professional I think. There are some nice ones at M&S called Limited Collection round toe bow court heels (apologies as cannot link from here). A loafer with a slight heel could be a good alterative.

CHOOGIRL · 20/11/2010 12:22

I wish that Harvey Nicks would sort out their online site. You can't use gift vouchers - which is the only reason I am buying yet another dress I do not really need. Having decided to finally get the Bec I ordered last night - only to get a mail this morning that it is out of stock. Matches and DVF also out of stock in my size so I have ordered this which doesn't say it is a Bec but is a similar style.

Zembo take care.

Can also confirm poo stories - we had a case recently of a man who only did it on Network South East train carriages ewww.

vino- I am absolutely following what you are saying about the dress and I like your style! Seriously though, I think it depends on the sort of social life you have and whether you would use it (I wouldn't)as well as whether or not you can afford it.
Thanks for the compliment btw- v sweeet of you and not at all true :)

zembo- I only just saw your earlier post. That's great that DH is being your carer for the weekend :)
When I had my MC (10 wks) the bleeding was so heavy (flooding everywhere, huge clots) that I admitted myself to hospital. Of course, as soon as we gor there, it slowed down Blush.
Do make sure you rest and eat well to get your strength back. Also, I really wouldn't feel guilty about taking another couple of days off to recover because you do feel tired and obviously v upset and emotional too (sorry to sound like a bossy mother)

blossoming · 20/11/2010 14:33

I have found the perfect grey coat! In a 10, and dh paid. Having a great day!
