Another Paris vote here - Bonsoir has completely sold it to me - sounds wonderful.

BTW DH has his flashmob dance this evening - he has been practicing like a trooper! Just hope someone got to video it!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/11/2010 20:10

ollie Why is your DH doing this tonight? Some sort of Dutch tradition? Hmm Grin

roary · 18/11/2010 20:21

Yes, Ollie, why the flashmob dance?

vin aren't you a lawyer? We have a lot of lawyer friends working in Paris. Then, no commute!

Carciofi once again we have the same items in our wardrobes. I have that top, in the pinky colourway and am waiting on the navy it's so flattering!

Those of you interested in colours I have found a very interesting blog. Bloss think you'd love it! 12blueprints.com/

OllieWollieWoo · 18/11/2010 20:22

Hee Hee Fritzi!!!! His boss thought it would be fun for all the management team to do at the Christmas Party! DH is mortified - they have had 3 practice sessions at a posh ballet school in Amsterdam and there will be 20 professional dancers mingling at the party to start off the dance (so much for the credit crunch enforcing cost cutting measures on banks eh?!). They are dancing to Black Eyed Peas I Gotta Feeling - like the flashmob on Oprah - but not as good!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/11/2010 20:23

ollie OMG DH would die if he had to do something like that. Are they wearing costumes?

ReineDeSaba · 18/11/2010 20:24

Thanks vin re-my brother..I'm sure I will be picking everyone's brains for an outfit for the wedding next summer. Also a oui for Paris from me.

Love it NY..your DD is hilarious.

OWW you must post the video!

Carciofi I love Thanksgiving too..comes by way of my American DH,though. Were you in NY..did I remember that right?

OllieWollieWoo · 18/11/2010 20:31

No costumes - the idea is that its a complete surprise to everyone - one minute DH will be standing there with a glass of wine chatting to colleagues, then the professional dancers start and the next minute he will be throwing himself around dancing! I giggle everytime I think of it all!

notyummy · 18/11/2010 20:34

Can't believe the flash mob thing. I would need a LOT of booze!

carciofi · 18/11/2010 20:35

Roary, I think I will buy it in another colour too. Although the sale will be on soon!

OWW, that is hilarious. Please please please put it on Youtube!

Reine, good memory, yes, we were in New York for 5 years.

Bonsoir · 18/11/2010 20:40

LOL OWW at your DH dancing to I Gotta Feeling - my DD loves that song and dancing to it!

blossoming · 18/11/2010 20:42

'You will look thinner and younger' - roary, if that's not a vote for colour analysis I don't know what is! Thanks for the link!

ollie, thanks for your faith in me earlier. I saw that flashmob thing on Oprah, can't believe your dh has to do it. Will be hilarious I'm sure.

notyummy, don't our kids make us proud?!

carciofi, is there room to grow in that top? (wise emoticon)

loobylu3 · 18/11/2010 20:46

NY- your DD sounds so sweet and v funny!
I was just catching up with some of the links and noticed your gorgeous dress from a couple of days back, the one by by Anami and Janine! Such a cool idea to bidon items and get a yea or a nay. Can I be v nosey and ask how much you bid for it?

vino- I managed to find your pics. You are really pretty. I'm sure Paris would love to have you :)Could you do a crash course in French?

carciofi- really like the top- looks v flattering. I like the Topshop Breton too red

everything- I have those M&S shoeboots too-I linked to them on the previous thread, I think. They are really comfy and I've had lots of compliments (in fact three in the store whilst I was trying them on)! I'm not 100% sure about the detailing on the skirt to be honest.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/11/2010 20:56

Fritzi - I loved a good work filing system too - and any excuse to raid the stationary catalogue and order new labels/files/pens!

hf128219 · 18/11/2010 21:05

OWW That is so very funny! Love it.

One of my dear friends is in labour as we speak. Her 3rd - dd and ds are 8 and 10.

Sending her good vibes Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 18/11/2010 21:08

hf All the best for your friend!

Where is monkeysmama?

CHOOGIRL · 18/11/2010 21:10

vin oui to Paris

Welcome lurkers

Tried on Janice and she definitely stays.

Watching Corrie on Sky+ tis very sad.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/11/2010 21:10

Hope all goes well for your friend hf - its always weird thinking about friends going through labour - I'm always a bit jittery til I get the new baby has arrived text! Thats quite a gap age wise but bet the new baby will be doted on by their older siblings.

hf128219 · 18/11/2010 21:14

Choo Corrie is sad? Or the fact you sky+ it? Grin

rufus101 · 18/11/2010 21:58

Pant! Wheeze! I can't keep up (wails loudly)
Paris sounds great Vin, I'd love it.
Carciofi can't see you, so you're safe for another while!

CHOOGIRL · 18/11/2010 22:04

DTI10 · 18/11/2010 22:43

vin - I work very near to Leadenhall street too - am always looking around the shops - better than New Change!

LTEC - I have that swallow print blouse. It was in the "buy it now, before it goes" section in Warehouse in the city. I paid £25.

blossoming · 18/11/2010 22:43

I agree rufus. half a thread in two days!

choo, glad Janice is staying.

hf and ollie, I'll join the hyper organised club too please!

Dh came home late with a bunch of flowers, for himself ! Teacher day in Vietnam apparently! Lucky I knew better than think they were for me.

hf128219 · 18/11/2010 23:04

I really can't keep up. So you must excuse me if/when I appear to ignore things/clothes/dilemmas - it is not deliberate, I promise!

I have just washed out my fruit bowls, put the rubbish out and emptied the vases.

Ocado order - check.
Bills paid - check.
Clothes laid out for tomorrow - check.
Corrie, Eastenders, Celebrity Jungle etc Sky+ - check.

Grin
