Yangy - still haven't got shoes for DD as the 'crawler/early shoes' were hideous...and she is very unsteady...I want to get the start-rite classic mary janes when she is more able...

Roma - can only see pictures of dresses hanging up?

Bunny - love names....go very well with Cordelia which is important, and not everyone seems to consider this at all!

Yes, I too wax lyrical about Dukan...it's fab- just under 8 stone now so happy...and having checked I have some old size 0 Gap jeans which fit nicely...

Oh, have so much to do and distinctly lacking in energy today as have a cold...the christening is on Sunday so need to sort out guest rooms...you know clean, change linen and throw a few copies of House and Garden and Country Life in for guest reading material, and put out fresh flowers...Wink

Fritzi - bought the Boden velvet evening coat in smoke...very lovely!!!

Oh, a housekeeper would be fab....Chrissie Rucker of White Company has one and it sounds bliss....I would love a housekeeper who was also a fab cook...definitely would be very happy with that! Smile

Bloss thanks for sharing your hair routine. I wash mine every other day, only because its longer and takes more time. I do love volume so will try the kerastase volumeactif. I'll post a pic one day (when feeling brave) so you can give me hair style advise please. Only thing is I can't have it shorter than mid boob length, am genetically predisposed to like/covet long hair Grin regardless of age!
Hells i've heard of the brazillian blow dry but never had one. My hair is jet black, fairly straight and reasonably thick (although I'd like it thicker).

OWW hope you love your boots!

Cakey your friend Natalie (you linked to her pic once) has the most gorgeous thick hair - you must pass on the compliment to her. My mum's used to be just like that when she was younger.

I don't know why ANYONE would know this...... But ladies, can anyone explain the difference between an 'issue tree' and a 'cause and effect diagram' to me?? Because I am supposed to be explaining to a bunch of senior people and I can't work it out myself.

Can you tell I am finding a variety of diversions to stop me completing my presentation...?

Bunny 13 pound baby!!! IMAGINE the hole in the Spanx Grin

Yangy can you add me so I can see your pics?

On the sleeping front I am now totally convinced that very little you do or don't do before age 1 or even 18 months makes any difference at all. DD was an ace sleeper, and DS sleeps in the same cot etc and we do exactly the same thing and he's not. She liked to be rocked, and then left alone; he likes to cuddle. I am a firm believer in the fact that you don't really teach them any bad habits until they're over 1, and that you should do whatever works to give you the most sleep (whether or not that's controlled crying or cosleeping) beforehand. That said I am an accidental cosleeper with DS as I fall asleep breastfeeding quite a lot.

I think yangy's right NY, isn't C&E the fishbone one - lots of things on the left and one on the right, whereas issue tree has one on the left and loads on the right.

Moreover why on Earth do people care about this kind of crock of s&*t, and if you've already been made redundant, can't you just say you're busy that day and go and feed the ducks with dd while someone else twists their brain over it?

Romanarama · 18/11/2010 14:31

Dolce, you're on my list now. I am very pleased to have so many mates Grin

OllieWollieWoo · 18/11/2010 14:32

Bloss - not sure how easy it is to do - or if it costs anything but maybe set up an folksy/etsy site to sell off any left over stock? Or ebay it? But hopefully you will sell out and have a long list of orders too (including those from us!)

I agree re WIT dress - not nice but loved the scarf!

pickledsiblings · 18/11/2010 14:37

here notyummy - a nice short review that may help

roary · 18/11/2010 14:40

Hmmmm, Yangy I reckon you might be a Deep Winter....

Notyummy what Roma said!! I meant to ask yesterday if you knew where you were going to be after the office closes?

notyummy · 18/11/2010 14:41

Roary - No idea! Basically I am pretty much guaranteed a salary for around 9 months, because of the byzantium processes in getting rid of any civil servants.

Because of DH's job, we don't know yet where we will be after next summer - we hope to get more clarity around March/April time. Current contenders are London, Lincoln and, er Las Vegas! Once I know where we are likely to be living then I will be abel to focus a bit more on what I am going to next - for example if he is going to be based in London then I might attempt to get an internal civil service transfer down there...although they are thin on the ground in the current climate! The other fly in the ointment is that he may well be going 'away' for 6 months before he takes up a new job...but we would know that in March and April as well. If he is, then I may choose to not work for a few months or just do some freelance stuff.

I am booking myslef on a Neuro-Linguistic Programming course in Mra==arch ...and will then come to a meet-up and try and control you all.

It's general - NLP Practitioner qualification. I am interested in it and I think it could be helpful whether I stay in CS, or chose to go back to consultancy. (May help with the exec coaching stuff.) I have money to spend from the RAF (they give you £1k a year for 3 years to spend on training after you leave...and you can take up to 10 years afterwards! There are constraints on the courses though - it has be accredited up to at least level 3.

Once I have done my NLP, I am toying with doing a personal trainer qualification, but thats as much a hobby as anything else.

ReineDeSaba · 18/11/2010 15:17
