V tempted Bloss - did you order your P8 dress already? Its a couple of pounds cheaper on the John Lewis website but guess it evens out price wise as only free P&P if you spend over 50 pounds - unless you need some random kitchenware article as well?!!!

Cake, just saw this and thought of you.

Night all

PlumSykes · 19/10/2010 22:18

I know I'm apparently aready in bed asleep, but just quickly, anyone with the White Co popcorn poncho, is it a cardi equivalent, or more of a light jacket? I REALLY can't buy any more outerwear this season, but if I could wear it at home as a cardi/sweater, I think will order.

Night. Really, this time.

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 22:25

ooh thanks for the make up advice esher and Plum - I will have a nosey around in Space NK tomorrow if the Bub sleeps while P&C are at nursery

bloss I would love that, thank you!! I will msg you my address.

re Xmas meet up, did we decide that Sunday was best? I can do Sun 12th.

thanks for the Phase8 code!! better late than never Grin. I'll drop my Janice back tomorrow (local, no drama) and buy online instead. Should I get that sequin jacket or am I having one of my all-too-frequent Desperately Seeking Susan moments? I heart Aidan Quinn ...

OWW stop it, I love the title and think you are really too sweet natured that you care about causing RL controversy

MM sorry you are so knackered, is dp working huge hours atm?

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 22:26

ooops, sorry OWW, I do not think super-toned arms would be needed for dress, but I am bad one to ask as have scrawny arms (dh calls me Olive Oil Hmm)

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 22:33

Lanvin fir H&M Shock Hmm

whatever next.

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 22:34

Hello all, you have all been busy, I think I'm just about caught up now. Love the Phase8 dress - I'd been half wondering when I'd seen things I liked there and in Jaeger whether they were getting better or I was getting old - glad to have it confirmed that it's the former!

OWW, I laughed at the thread title, don't fret about it! If we can get away with dissing fly boots in titles on here (evening LTEC!) we can get away with anything!

ApuskiDusky · 19/10/2010 22:45

Cross post yangymac, sorry to hear you're having a bad night, hope it's all blown over by the morning.

happilyeverafter · 19/10/2010 22:48

Oh Yangy Sad hope you get past it quickly.

My dh was an utter tool this evening too, maybe something is in the air? Although I arrived home from spin to find he had iced the last dozen cupcakes and attempted to tidy up the kitchen so think he realised the depths of his fuckwittery.

40 cakes are baked complete with pink number 4s for dd nursery class tomorrow. Am In denial she's reaching the ripe old age of 4, time truly flies when you have kids.

I had my photo taken at work today (unplanned!) for a new id badge and looking at the snap I also need new makeup. My winter skin tone is much paler and needs mre coverage than my sun kissed summer skin. Didn't help that building was freezing so had my bright red coat on with a matching nose!

This weeks Grazia has 25% off kookai/coast/warehouse and a couple of other stores too via a cut out voucher. Wise!

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 23:11

yangy am really sorry you are having a rubbish evening. . Hope all better in the morning. happily glass of red for you too but cheering for the Nigella in yer fella.

will wait to see if any one ventures an opinion on sequin jacket tomorrow - so far have plum yes and yangy "reminds me of my mum" Grin

BUT in meantime FRITZI you often log on early morning so hope you see this - have just ordered the Janice x 2 with the 20% disc so as to send one to you. Hope that's okay but no drama if not, can always take/ send back Smile

Night all

LetThemEatCake · 19/10/2010 23:12

I have also done that before with a namechange. It's much too easy to do it!

You lot are bad for me Grin I sent some stuff back and a refund came through so I was going to pay down my credit card. But no, I now have the Janice winging it's way to me in an 8 and a 10, just in case, as I'm 8 on top and 10 on the bottom.

So many lovely dresses tonight!

I have reached full capacity in my clothing storage now with two double wardrobes, one chest of drawers and one bedside cabinet all stuffed full to bursting. With some old stuff bagged up in the bottom of one of the wardrobes.

So will have to operate one in one out policy from now on!

So relieved to know I'm not the only one with fussy DC. My DD has gone off dinner in general at the moment Hmm and will only eat lunch stuff. I refuse to let her have different food to us so I serve up stuff she normally eats and she has that or goes without. There are a few things she consistently dislikes (potatoes, mushrooms and onions) so I don't give her those as that wouldn't be fair. But the rest just depends on how tired she is. Grr! So hard to stay calm and not make an issue of it.

Sorry for me me me post. Will be back tomorrow less self-absorbed.

Night all

rufus101 · 19/10/2010 23:45

Thanks Carciofi! You're so good. Believe it or not, can't decide on anything. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I think the title is great OWW. Do not fret. I hope it does make other worthies simmer. They obviously do not get it.

Book club tomorrow, am looking forward to it, but not looking forward to the picking of the next one. Have read half of the ones proposed (very avid reader and shopper!) and spend a lot of time saying "well no, I don't particularly want to read it again, thought it was rubbish the first time" and be perceived as difficult to please. Wish they would stop picking stuff that was "current" a year or more ago.

Yangy go in, surprise him,and make up. Life is too short to be seething in separate rooms, especially when I'm sure you both ultimately have the same goals ie security for your family.

Really am liking that Janice dress, although I have to erase the name from my consciousness! Reminds me of one i had in grey, and had to dump recently as it shrank a little when i washed it.

roary · 19/10/2010 23:52

Brief hello from me - OWW not to worry I think we have all been written off as frivolous wasters anyway :)

Loving the Janice but not going to buy as not buying any dresses till after I've finished breastfeeding.

LTEC I'd go to the MAC counter and get a great coloured eyeliner or shadow, in a really great funky shade that brings out your eye colour. Then you can zap up your kohl with it! I recommend amber lights - you have brown eyes, yes? If you get a liner brush you can also wear as liner.

Plum Popcorn poncho way too heavy to wear as a cardigan layer, I think - I have been wearing mine as a light jacket. It could actually take you down to quite chilly temperatures if you wore something v warm underneath, like a tight fleece (which would be hidden for fashion purposes!)

roary · 19/10/2010 23:56

Plum just realized I have gotten it backwards - you don't want it as a jacket! Sorry, I have failed to provide you with justification. I think the merino one might be more cardigan like and it looks lovely.

AllBuggiedOut · 20/10/2010 00:07

Aargh, have just ordered a Janice! Must go to bed before I buy anything else Blush

Night night all xxx

OllieWollieWoo · 20/10/2010 07:36

Morning - loving the Janice's flying out and about around the UK - and Germany! Wonder if one will pop up on WIT?!!!

Really liked reading the make up advice - thank you Plam & Esher. I loved my Mac visit & eyelash/brow tint and its def inspired me to try wearing a little bit more. I fear I unintentionally end up with a smokey eye effect tho from rubbing eyes when tired!

Quieter day today - DS2 at creche so DS1 get to go shopping for a scrapbook - he wants to download his photos from his camera, print and stick in a book. I think I know how this is going to go tho - he will do three and then wander off leaving me to do the rest(which secretly I don't mind as love doing stuff like that - insert geek smiley!)

OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 20/10/2010 07:43

cake That is so kind of you! You are a true fashion fairy, mwah! Just the sort of news to cheer me up after another sleepless night. This time caused by DH snoring! Before you forward the Janice to me, can I ask which size you ordered? Don't know if I'm same size as you even if I squeeze myself into the Spanx Smile.

Oh yangymac, hope everything's better this morning...

Will read make-up advice by plum and esher now and take notes.

And Happy Birthday to your DD happily!

LetThemEatCake · 20/10/2010 07:55

fritzi I remember you said you were 10-12 so I got you a 12. Smile
