Hells, Sizing on the small side.

carciofi · 29/10/2010 19:08

They are lovely, Fleecy

bunnymother · 29/10/2010 19:17

Hells - I have been raving about the gap down filled jackets / for DD. Think best to buy in eBay though, as this season's colours in the stores are bright pink or purple. Or no and no, as I call them.

blossoming · 29/10/2010 19:19

*carciofi, I hope you feel better soon.

MarshaBrady · 29/10/2010 19:20

Love the berry and red block heels Smile

I wanted a luscious berry flat ballerina type thing an age ago (probably first thread Grin) and still haven't seen one.

There is some mad McQueen stuff on NaP at the moment.

OllieWollieWoo · 29/10/2010 19:23

LTEC - pleased to see you back! Not sure if its your colour but I spotted this lace dress in M&S which got the W&A seal of approval here
Agree with Tracey - spill re new purchases please!
2 glasses of Friday night prosecco down, DH popped out for pizza (snap Fritzi - I've got another cake sale tomorrow so have been baking away all afternoon - well, in between looking at the new Boden stuff - and just dont feel like cooking).

Actually feel quite light headed, one more glass and I will be typing I LOVE YOU ALL messages on here.........ah shucks......

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! [hsmile]

OP posts:
traceybath · 29/10/2010 19:28

Bunny - you are on fire at the moment Grin

blossoming · 29/10/2010 19:29

Cheers ollie, I'm one glass down myself!

LetThemEatCake · 29/10/2010 19:44

need to catch up with Ollie ..

dh just home after week away, right on bedtime, total disintegration. I smiled warmly and politely asked why he didn't go and have a pint on the way home and just come home at 8? he said he couldn't wait to see us all. Since he is so keen, I have left bedtime in his capable hands and all hell sounds to be breaking loose upstairs.

Smile

okay new purchases, can't really link as they are my usual mish mash of charity shop, local stores, ebay, etc but
roughly speaking, have acquired deep plum silk shirt, Silk & cashmere mix Jaeger s/s sweater with ribbon edging, soft grey cashmere longline cardi, brown tweed-y pencil skirt, plaited eelskin belt to be worn like my friend here, isn't she lovely? Calvin Klein black wool jersey dress with bead embellished shoulders and slight gather to one side of waist (TK MAxx, gotta love it) and fab navy sweater with chain detailing on shoulders reminiscent of this Chloe dress plus 2 coats - one camel, one red. {red one in blog hereAlso ordered the Gap merino sweater dress in every colour, deffo keeping the grey, pondering the black and sending back the purple.

Oh, and a pair of lace tights.

Contemplating this dress and going to go for the shoes.

Think that's it.

Re: lace dress, I can't believe that one is nice in RL tracey!! The styling is foul, I totally disregarded when looking the other night. Will go and look in RL, thank you Smile The one I liked from M&S seems to have disappeared from the site. OWW I love the one you linked to but don't think I could carry that colour, sadly.

How has everyone fared this half term? I have found that being away from the computer more has been a big help .. means that my back is not turned and that disasters are easily averted [hwink]

LetThemEatCake · 29/10/2010 20:18

oh yes - Janice made her debut at dinner the other night and was very well received.

Sent the See by Chloe trousers back, ordered the IO pegs which will be available mid-Nov.

(under my new exacting standards, if something has not been worn within 2 weeks of purchase, it must go back)

LetThemEatCake · 29/10/2010 20:26

Vin and MM I also wanted to say that what you said about your dds really resonated. I know deep down that my avidity in having my 3 so quickly and close together was to try to fill the gap in my family. I always feel that there is an empty place at my table. And I've finally realised that having yet another baby won't fill it.

Fleecy · 29/10/2010 20:27

cake that was my favourite outfit from this week's mag - I love patterned dresses, layering and tan so an all-round winner for me. Props to your pal!

You have indeed been avid of late. Just think, less MNing, more shopping time Grin

I started looking for coats for the DC but was most put out to find that last year's still fit. Boo!

oww mwah!

Fleecy · 29/10/2010 20:32

Dress would look fab on you and the whole camel and black stripes hoops is very now

DolceeBanana · 29/10/2010 20:39

Hi Cake! I knew you would succumb to the camel coat!!!!!!!! Grin Outfit sounds fabulous by the way.

Bloss...yes, never knowingly underdressed here also.

Half term has been good...lovely to cuddle up and have a lazy time of it with the babes...I say this retrospectively after 2 Gins though so who knows!!!! Grin Nah, all good really! Wink

OWW - we collectively love you too gal. I am totally with you on emptying the dishwasher...can be rendered to a total misery in so doing....hate, hate, hate it!

Janice is lovely Cake...rather similar to the Lk Bennett no I have...she also has a name, but I've forgotten it, but not so tailored or exxy for that matter...damn! You're so blimmin' prudent....

Right, doing this quickly as rather unoriginally am awaiting a calorie laden curry, (well, it is celebration meal night), and getting stuck on finding a dress for christening....like the idea of tea dress with high suede mary janes and lacy knit tights but cannot find a dress - still not sure about the Boden one...ideas? Thanks

blossoming · 29/10/2010 20:42

Sounds like you've been rocking some good looks recently too fleecy. I may have to retrieve the dukan from beneath the sofa.

blossoming · 29/10/2010 20:46

dolcee, I keep telling everyone about the gorgeous polka dot (very Tamara Mellon meets the queen) dress in lkbennet special offers section, dresses. £95 from £200+. Would link but then I'd have to go upstairs and am slightly tipsy. Sorry.

traceybath · 29/10/2010 20:49

This one Bloss?

LTEC - love your red coat!

hf128219 · 29/10/2010 20:52

Fritzi Thank you for the offer of help!

Tamara could have looked so much better at the palace.

traceybath · 29/10/2010 20:54

Her hat was dreadful. In fact a very mis-matched outfit overall.

monkeysmama · 29/10/2010 20:55

Good to have you back Cakey. You've been blogging a lot recently which I like too. I've ordered the IO peg legs though fear if they suit you they won't me. Lucky I don't care that much about my weight as I am sure a mate I bumped into the other day thought I was early pg. I always stock up on fat for the winter like an animal (unlike Bunny Wink)

I agree on the dressing up front. I'm always wildly over dressed. Apart from yesterday when I wore a very dodgy outfit to take dd to the dr (teachable bottoms & Uggs were involved Blush and saw dp's ex (of course).

Sent loads back today including New Look gilets which I liked but it's too late for. The M&S fur cuffed boots have gone back (sorry no link but they're pleather and really comfy just not for me) but I've kept the ahem Per Una faux fur coat because I love it. Do hates it. Dsis hates it but it is so me - the old me, the inner me. The me who wants to wear fur and gold to the park. I will love it another day and probably return it especially if it coerces dp into getting me the Tracey find. I want to wear it to see Mary J Blige on Tuesday night.

Pure Collection cashmere roll necks went back too as too itchy so search for perfect roll neck goes on.

I have a paisley dress but never know what footwear to wear with it. Could try brogues or clogs but neither feel right. Dp suggested the Madden tan boots but that's a different almost cowgirl look which isn't what I'd want to aim for Hmm.

Thanks for statement necklace suggestions. I love the one Esher linked to. I'm ordering some new striped tees - are the Gap ones best?

monkeysmama · 29/10/2010 21:02

So many typos. Replacement iPhone hasn't learn my text yet. I don't have any teachable bottoms-only tracksuit bottoms.

hellsbelles · 29/10/2010 21:06

thanks so much HF & carciofi. That is exactly what I was thinking of. Shall order.

Fleecy - those are good.

LTEC - alas our wardrobes are now so different! I kept the see-by-chloe trousers and sent back the Janice (though I loved it - it was too similar to my Anglomania dress and I am trying to be wise). See by chloe trousers possibly unflattering...but by goodness teh most comfortable trousers ever.

Right - have to go - have finally got computer to myself and have to do some work!

blossoming · 29/10/2010 21:13

monkeysmama, I have a boden stripe t, in navy and um ketchup. I do love it though.

traceyb, that's the one. I just showed your link to dh and he said buy it, buy it. Yeah, with what? Seriously out of pocket after massive b'day spending this month.
Dh thinks I look this good with no effort and no expense.

OllieWollieWoo · 29/10/2010 21:14

MM's mention of pleather reminded me of watching It Takes Two yesterday with Claudia Winkleman - did anyone see it? Very, very funny! She would make such a good mate don't you think?!

Loving the sound of your new buys Cakey, and really like your shoes Fleecy.

Randon link time - some leopard skin beauties for you all a la Boden here I quite like the tan - and the grey and navy sunnies too must stop looking at boden now

OP posts:
OllieWollieWoo · 29/10/2010 21:15

Ok one last Boden link just for MM here
