Not on FB, Hells, so will never know!

Can someone please link to WIT again?

Hope you are ok, EIE.

hellsbelles · 22/10/2010 14:04

well done on getting all that housework done everything Wink

Vin Grin - I should be fine then - it's obviously he's smelly isn't it!

hellsbelles · 22/10/2010 14:05

carcifio - here's wit

blossoming · 22/10/2010 14:07

Agree totally. Shred level 2 great for perking up a bottom, and legs.
And if I absolutely had to, it would be Phil from Location..
Aargh, it's still only 2 pm! Dc1 too poorly for school but not too poorly either. Needing lots of attention.

DolceeBanana · 22/10/2010 14:07

Awww I forgot about Ptolemy...bless! It's Griff Rhys Jones who makes my knees weak...Blush Blush

Or I'll take Mathew McConnaughey thanks....mmmm.....must go for a coffee. Weird.

PlumSykes · 22/10/2010 14:22

Am busy working, and obviously not here, but, oh, LOOK at this.

notyummy · 22/10/2010 14:36

Grr, at home with the plumber - STILL - since 8 45 am. Slipped out and ran around the block...only 3 miles, and Friday supposed to be long run day. Would have been good weather for a long run too - and supposed to be throwing it down tomorrow but I may now need to go out running then to compensate. And now I am a bit sweaty and need wash...and there is no water. And I need to do a clothes wash.....and there is no water.

The only gimmer of light has been that he is charming and ridiculously handsome. Sort of Hugh Jackman body, but with better face. Tall, dark, handsome and slightly stubbled. Of course whilst doing my house work I have in NO WAY occasionally glanced at his rippling torso whilst he has hefted radiators around. On no.....

happilyeverafter · 22/10/2010 15:09

Wore my star dress to work today with tights/oversized heart pendant/ navy studded pumps and had some lovely compliments so very pleased with that bargain purchase.

Today is my cleaning afternoon but instead I am baking for dd party. She is 'helping' which is slowly down the process massively. Much as I love baking with her i am so tempted to stick her a DVD on and get on with it without her. Little love is having such a good time I haven't the heart, hopefully she will get bored soon and tootle off to do some important colouring/barbieing.

Must say ipad has aided my baking massively. It's like a lovely wipeable recipe book cum reference guide. Not the intended purpose but useful!

Ny I think we are in a similar neck of the wood so you are welcome to pop for a shower should you wish to Hoover/dust/entertain dd Grin hell you can even use the washer....

notyummy · 22/10/2010 15:14

TY very much for the offer Happily but I am just about to head to Mum and Dads. Have had a wet wipe wash, used dry shampoo and sprayed deoderant everywhere. Lovely...!

Romanarama · 22/10/2010 15:27

Doesn't sound too bad ny Wink

Someone smashed our car window a couple of months ago, and the guy who came to fix it was gorgeous. The company called me after with one of those customer surveys, and the man asked me how I had described the mechanic to my friends. He laughed his head off when I told him the truth Grin

Romanarama · 22/10/2010 15:29

happily ipad is v.good for watching films in the bath I've found, if you have the cover cum stand thing. I put it on the kids' step - very good picture and sound, you can hear over the water coming out of the tap, unlike my macbook.

AllBuggiedOut · 22/10/2010 17:07

Janice arrived this afternoon - looking forward to trying on later when kids in bed!

Can somebody link to the Star dress please?

Got to dash, kids to pick up and drop off, but just wanted to say am delighted it's half term!

OllieWollieWoo · 22/10/2010 18:16

ABO - it was this one from ASOS dress&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Blue here- but they were 8 pounds and in non-petite as well. Mine were supposed to be delivered on Monday and have yet to arrive - emailed ASOS and got one of their standard replies back. Hope they haven't got lost in the Dutch post system.....

I'm new to this section and I'm LOVING it, although it's not good for shopoholic tendancies.

Hello everyone.

monkeysmama · 22/10/2010 18:32

Hi VTT & welcome Smile.

Carciofi the coat for dd arrived today. Thank you very much for the link and sizing info. I ordered a 4years and it fits dd perfectly (she's also a tall 2.5yo) I ended up getting the red as the navy had gone (I preferred the navy) but dd loves it so it is a keeper.

monkeysmama · 22/10/2010 18:32

Ollie why is it a star dress?

OllieWollieWoo · 22/10/2010 18:53

Cos StarinStrangeways found it, linked to it and caused a minor W&A stampede to buy one - or 2 in my case! Called in the Star dress in tribute to her. Star - where are you?????

Waves to verytellytubby

Got our nice neighbours coming round for dinner this evening - cooking, (well lets be honest) DH is cooking JO's prawn & pea risotto and I've made an apple crumble (as trying to use all the flipping apples we got at the apple farm last week!).

Has anyone seen this lovely White Company blouse in real life? I like the petal colour but is it pink based or taupe - can't tell?here

blossoming · 22/10/2010 18:54

Hi,vtt, and welcome.
What a day. Dh doing bedtime for dc1 who is practically asleep anyway. Can't wait for the sound of that red wine pouring!
BTW, his teacher sent his homework home for him via another child. He's in year one. Is that normal? I know it's half term, but really.

blossoming · 22/10/2010 18:56

Oh ollie, I've been a-chutney-making! I would sell my right arm for a piece of apple crumble, with custard. Don't think it would be the same without sugar really though. [sulks]

OllieWollieWoo · 22/10/2010 19:00

I make it with brown sugar in the crumble topping Bloss - that makes it count as healthy right? [hsmile]

Will swap you some for some chutney - lekker (Dutch for yummy!)

Hi VTT.

MM, glad you like the coat, I am really pleased with it.

Ollie, pretty blouse. I will try to get to the White Co next week and inspectigate!

Anyone seen a cardigan similar to this or have a very good Matches code? :)

Hi VTT!

Carciofi - this is similar style.

Bloss - ds1 is yr2 and has to do a diary of what he does over half-term and has extra reading books but thats it homework wise.

OWW - I love that blouse too and have the black in my basket. Will possibly be in town this weekend so will take a look.

PlumSykes · 22/10/2010 20:03

Evening all,

Had super-productive day, thanks to DS having a 2.5 hour sleep today. Got lots of work done, so can relax this evening. Planning to plough through the mail order catalogues and get my Xmas shopping list done, then place orders over the weekend. Guilt free mail-ordering. Love it!

Two week half term starts now, though, so will be needing lots of me-buys to stop me going quite barmy after playing the Wizard of Oz for the 85th time. Why don't I EVER get to be Dorothy?

OWW, I have just made a huge batch of really simple apple chutney from a recipe in Easy Living mag. Can mail the recipe to you if you like-is a really bung it all in, leave for 4 hours job. Tastes yum though, and looks hevaenly in Kilner jars with luggage tag labels tied on with red twine. Another budgety Xmas gift!

ny, your plumber sounds like he might be related to our landscape gardener. Our job ran over by 6 weeks, and although I was glad to have him around a little longer, I was aware that I was getting a bit 'Coffee? Tea? Me?' with him, so grudgingly accept it was for the best when he packed up his hoe and cleared off.

roary · 22/10/2010 20:55

Evening everybody
DH was actually home tonight and did bathtime so we have had a lovely supper.

Carciofi don't think your pregnant cardigan buying has gone unnoticed ;)

Hells I do have and adore that WC dress - still highly recommended for anyone looking for a lovely soft and feminine dress.

I wore my gap houlilikes today with nude knee highs (underneath obviously) and brogues, and a teal slash neck sweater (with the Hanro thermal underneath). I got so many compliments, I was very pleased indeed. So brogue-wearers, this is great trouser option (They are not longand have metal buttons on the ankle that faciiltate rolling up). THey will also be brilliant for summer. I love them almost as much st the brogues ;)

Where is Cakey?

What should I wear to dinner tomorrow night at chez bruce? We are visiting friends in London and going out there tomorrow night while a babysitter looks after all four of our dcs.
