The meet up sounded so much love - Esher - you trip to Monsoon made me laugh as did NY legging it without paying Smile. Glad Bunny got her afternoon tea too! Did anyone buy anything in the end?

Random non W&A link but found this poster/print on a blog and think it will be nice for DS1's room: here. They also linked to this one which makes me smile here

blossoming · 16/10/2010 21:16

Hello! I had such a lovely afternoon w you Meet-Up Wise Ladies! I thought we all did get on like a house on fire. I was there till 5pm and there wasn't a moment's silence. Constant chatting and laughing (err, and eating and drinking) the whole time. So enjoyable seeing more of you and spending an afternoon together. Came home v happy and was telling DH that I really like how our common interest is style and beauty, but there's much more than that between us on this thread too. Thank you for the lovely compliments Wise Ladies! Helps a v heavily, uncomfortably pregnant lady feel much better. Naturally, everyone looked fantastic and was delightful company. I felt that everyone was sympatico (sp?). Warm, happy, supportive atmosphere. And I am not even drunk! Although would love to be. Smile

blossoming · 16/10/2010 21:31

Lovely posters ollie.
hf, I used to have that red jigsaw skirt for my first job in London in 1993! I wore it with a cream blouse and black jacket and thought I was the bees knees!

bunnymother · 16/10/2010 21:35

Everything - I was about to do a similar post w snippets about us, too! Snap! Well let me add you:

Everything - sleek of head, delightful of nature. Fun, friendly and wearing lovely Fahri skirt that looked great, esp w her top.

blossoming · 16/10/2010 21:36

Okay, now I need to get Grazia.

eshermummy · 16/10/2010 21:39

Yes Tracey and MM you were both sorely missed at meet-up.
Just to add to EiE 's round-up:

Everything herself had gorgeous silk tulip skirt that we all aaaah-ed over and I was v Envy of NY's hair (and the leopard maxi!)

Fleecy - did you buy any shoes or boots in the end?

oh yes and Bunny is the only person I think I have ever met who can rock white jeans at 31 weeks pg and still not look pg from behind!

Right, I know none of you believe me about the Monsoon stuff but

this dress was a lovely print

this blouse was seriously nice and I might buy it

I would like to try this skirt on

the lace on this was very good quality for high strasse

AllBuggiedOut · 16/10/2010 21:40

How lovely the meet-up sounds. Am too happy for you all that you had a great time to be too envious Smile

AllBuggiedOut · 16/10/2010 21:46

I have this Monsoon jacket which I don't think is too horrid... Although why on earth they styled it with those trousers is beyond me. Looks good (IMHO) with deep rust scarf, short skirt and brown tights/boots.

blossoming · 16/10/2010 21:57

My iPhone won't open your links properly esher. I loved your necklace and stripey top look and intend to copy it forthwith! But in silver, not gold.
What shade was that on your nails choo? it was lovely. (Note to self, book manicure and make/up at mac before next meet-up).
What time does selfridges close? Are you still shopping cake?

CHOOGIRL · 16/10/2010 22:08

Fabulous lunch in Selfros. Lots of lovely chat. Everyone looked fabulous wish I'd had longer to chat, esp to Bloss who looked WONDERFUL.

Nail colour was Chanel 505 - Particular.

cake last spotted trying on £1255 dress.

Did you get the CL's Fleecy?

LetThemEatCake · 16/10/2010 22:12

hello! Selfridges open until 9, much more civilised once the day time crowds had dispersed.

Only stayed until half eight though, the lure of lovely things was all getting a bit much.

I really really like Cos. Not my usual style, but tried on some lovely things.

Chloe, well .. swwoooooooooon. Much fun to try.

glad everyone home safe and sound. Lovely afternoon. Bunny in white jeans at 31 weeks, omg - how does she do it?? So petite and gorgeous. And Bloss has got the biggest, sparkliest, most gorgeous eyes you've ever seen.

everyone looking utterly lovely.

fritzi your outfit sounds gorgeous, hope you are having a lovely evening.

I wrote a massive post earlier today and lost it so will try to resurrect:

OWW was so impressed at your baking efforts and glad sale was asuccess
Verity well done on your distinction. Clever and stylish, that's what we like Smile
roma great outfit but poss not for bike riding. Great for walking the dog though, give it a try
Rufus nice to see you, hope to see you more often now

bollocks, there was more. Argh. Off to look at links while I try to remember.

notyummy · 16/10/2010 22:20

Ok, I had a lovely time. Everyone was just like I imagined (which is a good thing!) Bunny so petite, Esher v immaculate, everything in lovely skirt with sharp bob. Fleecy looking ridiculously youthful after a night clubbing - FGS!? How do you do it. Choo looking great in animal print. Blossoming looking foxy in j brands, and LTEC looking soooooo slim in beautiful print.

I bought nothing..... Including, it transpires, my own food and drinks. Now, through a process of elimination I think either Choo, Esher or Ltec must have coughed up far more than they should. Please let me know ladies and I will sort it out.

OP posts:
Fleecy · 16/10/2010 22:21

esher rather like that lace skirt - have surprised myself

Agree meet up was lots of fun - everyone looked very stylish and the conversation flowed freely and naturally so would definitely be up for another and would be less nervous this time Smile

I went back for the CLs and managed to track down the right shade of red but they didn't have them in my size. Tried another pair on but they didn't grab me as much so I came home empty-handed. Looked on NAP when home but they're sold out in my size. So I will keep an eye out for more stock and see...

marsha if you do go over to Paris, can you take a sneaky pic of Bonsoir and post it for us all please? I want to know what she looks like!

Fleecy · 16/10/2010 22:29

SO for a meet up of avid shoppers, we've been a bit rubbish today really! I blame the wine Grin

blossoming · 16/10/2010 22:29

Thanks ltec and choo Blush
I'm off to bed, night all.

eshermummy · 16/10/2010 22:29

Yes, Bloss is a living, breathing testament to the benefits of shredding and a no-sugar diet, she looked great in her j-brands.

I want a photo of Marsha AND Bonsoir. Together. Nothing less will do Wink

LetThemEatCake · 16/10/2010 22:35

fel1x!!! not rufus. Fgs.

LetThemEatCake · 16/10/2010 22:38

I bought Falke tights!!!

And tried on V.v exxy Chloe dresses ... But yes, rubbish effort ladies!!

Fleecy · 16/10/2010 22:40

Well I shall inform DH that at the Christmas meet up it will be my duty to buy some shoes!

I forgot you nipped out for tights.

MarshaBrady · 16/10/2010 22:42

Ha ha Fleecy and Esher. I actually felt quite faint at the thought of meeting Bonsoir. I love the posts re Marni, yellow cords and what-not. I am mere style small-fry Grin.

(although feels strange talking about another poster who is not here so shall cease forthwith).

Had two glasses of red wine feeling super good.

eshermummy · 16/10/2010 22:58

There was a lady in bright yellow cords on the tube on my way home from Selfridges (seriously, I kid you not ladies).....surely it couldn't have been........??????

LetThemEatCake · 16/10/2010 23:03

my fave sight of the day was the lady I saw with purple Daria hobo, plus purple leather (poss pleather) jacket and indigo-bordering-on-purplish jeans.

and she was chewing gum

"you're turning violet, Violet!!"

hells gutted not to meet you. Hope last night fun, and fab enough to be worthy of you in your fab frock

did any of you see people at Shoe Galleries posing in/ next to shoe sculptures? a bit sad weird, no?
