happy anniversary OWW!!

Loving navy far more in recent times than ever before, it is an age thing do you think? Grin Remembering my mum used to wax lyrical about it

Roma she sounds v.odd which is quite interesting, indeed, amusing. But not in your home. LOL re seedy WAG past

Thanks ABO we had a great night Smile. You will be especially impressed that I topped the whole ensemble with my Oxfam coat. Was glad of it though - bloody freezoid last night, esp by the river.

Baby L b'day tomorrow but dh going to Verona at crack of dawn, hence b'day with inlaws today (at farm - waves to hf) and tea party on Monday. Did some pressies tonight. Poor lamb not that well - was up puking all last night and then after brekkie this morning, seemed ok but listless all day, didn't agitate to get down and crawl, just wanted to cuddle. Fell asleep in my arms tonight, threw up as soon as I put him down Sad Not distressed though, obv just a tummy bug but so nasty to see (And clear up!!)

re: sleeping, he still sleeps with us but we knocked the comfort feeding on the head at end of July as it was out of control - every hour or two, and even then not settling, but having to be walked up and down for what felt like hours. Basically I spent a week on the sofa (I remember midwife telling me that they can smell the milk) and dh soothed him (back rub, lots of 'good boy, sleepy sleepy') each wake-up but did not pick up. I'd come back upstairs at about 5am and bf then, but that became the one and only feed. He's still hanging on to that one although maybe not as of now - didn't feed this morning in the midst of the puke-fest, so we'll see how we go tonight. My sympathies though marsha it is very tiring, esp when you have another dc or two needing your input by day.

bloss hope you are having a wonderful night.

What do you think of [http://www.oasis-stores.com/Fur-Lined-Puffer-Gilet/New-Arrivals/oasis/fcp-product/3930011715 this]? It looks practical and quite cosy in a waisted way to me - and turns into a fur gilet too. Is good?

employmentlawquery · 26/09/2010 03:12

sorry

traceybath · 26/09/2010 06:41

Roma - I am so guessing Mr Linkeker too Grin And yes your AP sounds umm interesting. I think sleeping all day is pretty normal for a hungover teenager though.

Happy Birthday L!

Bloss - hope you had a fab time last night.

Did anyone see Lisa Armstrong column in the times mag yesterday - she was wearing gigis which I'm not getting but also the most fabulous top shop parka with faux fur collar - not on the site yet though.

Romanarama · 26/09/2010 07:25

But all day tracey?? In one room for what is now 29hrs?

I'll let you know what happens, but stop me if I get too boring Grin.

Off to the park with my delinquent dog - not S&B at all as it's pouring with rain......

traceybath · 26/09/2010 07:31

Teenagers are incredibly lazy - my niece is 18 and so just able to go out and drink and well - her laziness drives my sister crazy. Such fun - I just can' wait until the teenage years Wink

Oh and Calcot doesn't normally need booking ages in advance. And are you still booked in for your little op in November?

Bea has now progressed to a duvet in her cot as has spent the last week undoing her little sleeping bag and waking up cold/crying. Honestly she's a little houdini.

Yangy and Marsha - If I went back and looked at my posts I know from about 7 months onwards the night wakings were pretty awful as so frequent. But they did stop but took as I say until about 12 months. For Bea I think it was when she ate more/doing her dinner later/and just getting to a bigger weight. Sympathy though - the tiredness is just awful. Early nights was the only way to get through it for me which was rather depressing really.

MarshaBrady · 26/09/2010 07:59

Thank you so much for the sleeping advice.

Ltec that is excellent advice and good one for cracking it. Read your post late last night and sent dh in and I watched Cocktail. But at 1.00 after a few pats etc he did turn out to be hungry. So I guess not always comfort feeding. So will feed if hungry, wasn't too bad only a few times. Which I know to others at 9 months is pretty bad! But to me is an improvement -a couple of nights ago he was waking every half an hour. Terrible! Like Sylvester S in Lock Up.

With 3 wakings its easy to feed quickly half awake. It's getting up to resettle I find hideous - and therein lies my road to ruin.

Tracey your posts re Bea are very comforting. Yangy I haven't cracked it at all, let me know if you do Grin

notyummy · 26/09/2010 08:15

LTEC -Hope Leon feels better on his birthday. Those White trousers are hilarious btw....

Yangy- Agree there is some great 60s stuff on the high street at the moment. I am checking the M and S site daily for the limited edition silk Pradaesque skirt I linked to further down the thread. Think it is going to go flying off the shelves as have seen it in a couple of mags.... but I want it.

employmentlaw- Like the gilet/waistcoat althought think you would have style it right and not wear anywhere too rural to avoid being mistaken for one of the Bufton Tufton game stalkers....!

On a completely different note, am fed up of spots! Sorry if TMI, but I have an outbreak at the moment and it pisses me off. You would think if you are old enough to need Clinique Laser repair etc then the need fir spot remedies would diminish. It's like the worst of both worlds! Harrumph.

OllieWollieWoo · 26/09/2010 08:23

Morning! DS arrived home at 2am - and is now sitting opposite me nursing a black coffee, sore head and a quite sexy deep voice!

Blossoming hope you had a lovely time last night.

Roman - all sounds a little odd doesn't it? Is she asleep all the time or just in her room reading etc? (Am also intrigued by the wig - wonder why she doesn't dye her hair instead???)

I've got time off later to pop to the posh department store and get some Mac make up for the wedding - want a new eye shadow and lipgloss but need help choosing! The store has a 3 day sale every year which starts on Thursday - quite a clever concept - different things are reduced on each of the 3 days and each house is sent a catalogue a week before of whats reduced. Dutch sales are normally rubbish eg they make a big thing if 5euros is taken off but this sale has proper reductions - so far I have earmarked a pair of brown boots, grey suede shoeboots, a navy poncho, grey jersey dress and a jumper for DH! Will go on a reccy today to see what fits and then face the braying mob on Thursday (away for the wedding on the other 2 days). Or I may just buy things today as not sure its all worth the hassle (long ques for the tills, women rioting in the show dept etc)!

Question - do any of you wear nude tights? Legs are looking a bit pale and I have 3 dresses to wear at the wedding weekend - should I fake tan them or invest in decent tights? This coloumn has put me off the tights a bit! here
