Lovely comfortable day dress

BelligerentGhoul · 11/09/2010 14:38

I would like a really soft, comfortable dress that I could wear fairly smartly to work, or that would also be nice to just sling on with boots for weekends. I'd like it to be knee length or just over (and am a short arse) and have a scoop or v neck that is okay for norks.

Please help.

Preferably plain rather than patterned. Maybe grey? Or navy?

thanks for that

it really is my ideal dress

BelligerentGhoul · 11/09/2010 21:24

I like the M&S one and the Boden one - but I don't want knitted!

Those shapes in jersey would be perfect.

White Company one is gorgeous. Have a couple of WC bits now and the quality is good. I've bought mediums so far but I think they are mostly a bit big.

Don't suppose anybody's got a WC code that can be used in store, have they? Hopeful emoticon.

bg just looking but think you have to have card with you instore

duckyfuzz · 11/09/2010 21:30

if you've got their latest catalogue I think there is one on there, or I have an email one from them B3C12 15% off and free shipping

happilyeverafter · 11/09/2010 21:30

WC sizing generous, based on a 10 would say a small.

I'm 5"9, size 12, 32G and WC medium is always ample.

Doodleydoo · 11/09/2010 21:34

Don't have one but they do have 10% off online and you might get vip rights next time? unfortunately instore without the card they won't let you use the discount.

HumphreyCobbler · 11/09/2010 21:34

I bought it.

Am very excited now. Thanks duckyfuzz Smile

BelligerentGhoul · 11/09/2010 21:35

although the order is still processing, I don't know why it is taking so long

HumphreyCobbler · 11/09/2010 21:49

It is done. I have never been in this section before, I forsee damage to my bank balance.

sorry for the majoy hijack BG

CaptainNancy · 11/09/2010 22:06

HC- a small will probably be perfect- I am a 10 with large norkage, and take a small.

BG I have a WC card for use in store- a 20% one and a 15% one.
Will root them out tomorrow, but need to check T&Cs, as I think it's 15% over a certain spend (though I'm guessing any dress will be over the value)

CaptainNancy · 11/09/2010 22:12

Also... if you are planning instore purchase... they do not have a v wide range at store I find, though S is slightly better.

BelligerentGhoul · 11/09/2010 22:49

Have you ordered online with them before? Are they okay?

The staff in the Selfridge's branch are just so lovely!

I have ordered online, yes- it was fine, quick delivery and everything was present and correct. Haven't had to return anything though, so don't know about that, but never seen anyone on mn complain about them.

BelligerentGhoul · 11/09/2010 23:13

SPG10 is 20% off online at white co.

I try on in-store but always buy on-line.

CaptainNancy · 12/09/2010 08:38

Are returns easy tracey?

Doodleydoo · 12/09/2010 12:10

With free delivery etc I quite often buy then take back in store.

moragbellingham · 12/09/2010 14:26

I've never had a problem with returns at all either in store or by postSmile.
