What did you wear today, and how much did it cost?!

I am fascinated by other peoples clothes so I love the threads where everyone goes into detail of what they wore. I would also like everyone to tot up the cost, as I am really nosey and also I still think about that Daily Mail article that the average woman has £250 of clothes on her back.

Blue straight leg jeans-£40, River Island
white vest £4-Asos
Green tropical fruit sandals-£1-Primark
Grey Waterfall cardi-£60-Whistles

So £105, pretty good I think. This does not include accessories, as I my sunnies and bag would push me over the £250 mark.

teahouse - winter wear is usually much more isn't it! Tights cost loads too!

traceybath · 30/08/2010 20:32

Its interesting as I don't generally do 'designer' clothes - for me the expensive bit are the sunglasses/bags/jewellery.

cyb · 30/08/2010 20:33

thatsnotmymonkey-too right!

I can't find it monkey; it was in the sale last winter: It has a knitted yoke with cabling and bobbles and moss stitch panels. Must have taken a proper Aran granny ages to knit!

I went on an Autumn shopping expedition to the 6th arrondissement with DD, including lunch at Casa Bini's outlet in Le Bon Marché department store Smile

traceybath · 30/08/2010 20:43

Tracey - it sounds better than it looked! I'd packed it to wear to a party yesterday, then changed my mind and wore my jeans to the party so had to wear that to travel home in!

traceybath · 30/08/2010 20:45

OK Bonsoir your shopping trip sounds ever so slightly more glamorous than my dash to John Lewis to buy jam jars in anticipation of making plum jam tomorrow.

Did you buy anything nice? And bumbag - do you have a link?

Bonsoir · 30/08/2010 20:47

The bumbag is to die for and I bought it on holiday in Salzburg in a shop whose name I cannot remember (though I could probably identify it for you on a map if you were going there Hmm Wink). Even I wished I'd bought a second one - it's so lovely and saves my back and neck!

tiredmummyneedswineandsleep · 30/08/2010 20:49

peacocks top £12
primark leggings £3
new look ballet pumps £12
h and m bracelet £2

Bonsoir · 30/08/2010 20:50

Oh - and I only shopped for DD (who is going back to school on Thursday) and we got a grey skirt and a navy dress in BonTon and some lilac tights in Doré Doré, and white pants and vests in Petit Bateau. We singularly failed to buy her winter boots or a navy mac.

I'll go shopping for me in peace next week!
