DolceeBanana · 26/08/2010 14:48

Oh and what do you call slobbing clothes then? I suspect a cashmere jumper, jersey pull ons and cashmere socks.... Wink

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2010 16:51

Off to the cinema with DH tonight. Decided to sacrifice a pair of ballet flats and squeeze my cast in. And that is the last I will say about my foot. At least it is fashion-related [wink[. Feel like a pathetic attention-seeker already.

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2010 16:53

Wink Should preview my messages in the future. Bit in a hurry as babysitter is arriving soon and DD has already declared that she wants to come with me although she adores her babysitter.

hf128219 · 26/08/2010 16:56

Libra Was it this

Fritzi Enjoy cinema. Will not mention the foot!

OllieWollieWoo · 26/08/2010 17:14

Been on the White Company website and they have some nice stuff on there at the mo.

knitted pea coat anyone?

Wow LTEC - your W&A memory is outstanding - yes its the bonaparte one from way back when!! Sorry re your travel plans proving difficult. I do envy you being back in the land of grown ups tho! I think when DS2 starts school next March I'm going to look for something part time - after a little time off to just do all the things that have been on my to do lists that I just don't seem to get around to doing.

Happy Birthday Rufus - are you celebrating in style?

bunnymother · 26/08/2010 17:23

Hello wise ladies! Rang Bicester and the coat is only in blue in size 12 or 14 (right, Bunny, as if you are still a size 10. Anyway...). So the decision's been made for me! Will order the grey from ASOS - thanks Fritzi!

Plum - thanks for the TEsco link! Think will pay the little bit extra for the wool FC one, and that way I will always have it. And will keep on hoping it comes up in the blue as I wanted it last year, but sold out in my size and who doesn't love a vivid coat??

Fritzi - oh. The Joseph coat. Oh.

rufus - I giggle when thinking about Enid Blyton books - they are just so wrong in some ways, aren;t they?!

Cakey - not over the thread, but having uber clingy DD, technology issues AND being huge are all working against me. I love this thread - seam of happiness.

bunnymother · 26/08/2010 17:37

Rufus - happy birthday!

Re teenage girls - my heart sinks. It will be bitchville around here with 3 of them all sharpening their talons on me. Am dreading it. Think will be stony faced for years at a stretch.

hf - what a charming site!

Did anyone else's DC/s act up when they were obviously pregnant? DD wants to be with me or even held by me most hours of the waking day. V draining. And completely out of character for her - she has always been the child who runs off without looking back. From the moment she could crawl.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 26/08/2010 17:43

Thank you to all who helped find the necklace, it was the one hf linked to but seeing it again I don't like it anymore! However I do now want the dragonfly necklace on Alex Monroes site only 10 times the price, naughty fritzi Wink

omg I LOVE that shearling coat, however as easygoing as DH is he is not that easy going. Someone please buy it. On the other end of the spectrum also like the Tesco coat that was linked to.

OWW the boots haven't had an outing yet! Will report back when they do.

rufus happy birthday.

SOrry not been around this week, deffo not bored of this thread but have decided need to do photobook of DS first year so have something (never did baby book as too lazy) and having to wade thru 1000s of frankly crap photos to get 25 decent ones is time consuming. Always come and click on links tho!

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2010 22:20

Hope you had a wonderful birthday rufus! Details of birthday outfit please Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 26/08/2010 22:33

It's only August and I'm obsessing about sheepskin Shock. Although I love the Joseph coat, black doesn't really suit me I think. Found this. Opinions? Has anyone bought from Trilogy before?

AllBuggiedOut · 27/08/2010 00:04

Evening - just wanted to add that I'm definitely not bored of the thread! But I'm also not buying any more summer clothes and not yet ready for autumn purchasing yet. But when school's back in a week or so (and I will then have two DSs at school and only one left at home Sad) I promise to try and post more.

That Joseph coat is stunning.

rufus101 · 27/08/2010 01:07

Hi all. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
Had a lovely evening. DCs were so sweet. Arrived home to home made cards, my favourite Lindt hazelnut chocolate, and some flowers they had chosen with the childminder, with them all excitedly singing "Happy Birthday"!
DH played a blinder! Got me this fabulous dress but in the usual leopard print colours (you'd love TB), and am going to wear to friend's wedding with black peep toe Choos (can't find a link) Love, love, love it. Its very me.
Went for tea with DS and sister and her DC and it was great fun. They were so excited.
This Bette Jacket is the one I was talking about TB. Would love it, but don't know if double leopard skin would be as on trend as double denim!
My LilyandLionel scarf arrived also, and I love it. Thanks Carciofi My sister was very impressed with my discerning style.
Hope you buy that coat Fritzi you won't regret it.

rufus101 · 27/08/2010 01:13

Aren't these boots gorgeous? Although on someone my height they'd probably go over my knees!
Sorry think I messed up link TB this is the Bette jacket

Zembo · 27/08/2010 06:27

A belated happy birthday for yesterday rufus Sounds like you were suitably spoilt, lovely dress!

I met a friend at soft play yesterday. Was ok for the first half an hour but chaos after that. School hols + naff weather = no soft play in future!

Tracey I've been putting our heating on intermittently too Sad

Waiting in for this to arrive today. Sorry to disappoint with the link Grin

ReineDeSaba · 27/08/2010 07:06

Morning!..haven't posted for an age so I'm sure I will miss out lots..'summer!' hols have made it harder to post but sneaking off to read when I can.

Joseph coat a stunner, fritz

bunny..I can't remember..are you a blonde bombeshell..I think the grey FC would look stunning on that colouring but the blue is gorgeous too.In answer to clinginess qu.,my dd1 started following me everywhere/peeling open my eyes when trying to nap/wailing mumeee! constantly during pregnancy and beyond birth of dd2 after previously being a 'never look back' kinda girl..she is calming down a little now(dd2 5 months)..yesterday she told me 'too many kisses'ShockSadbut I think it's hard when they realise some of your energy and attention to them is channelled elsewhere(i.e pregnancy then baby/babies)..I've had plenty of guilt along the way but she has nothing but love for dd2 so it does all work out..hope that helps a little..

zembo..I am very excited by your linkBlush..can you let us know if they actually do the trick.soft play is a shocker over summer hols.went to one a couple of weeks ago and had headache for 2 days afterwards

what a clever DH you have rufus..happy birthday,belatedly...I plan to work triple leopardskin when I'm an old lady!

the weather in london is driving me nuts..what to wear..can't figure it out at all..total wardrobe confusion..casual drinks with girls tonight..any style suggestions?

cornsillky · 27/08/2010 07:19

hello just lurking...Smile

rufus where are those sylvie boots from?

traceybath · 27/08/2010 07:44

Rufus - what a good DH and glad you had a lovely birthday!

Zembo - I keep looking at those in lakeland too - I do love a bit of lakeland.

OllieWollieWoo · 27/08/2010 07:54

Morning - hats off to Mr Rufus - thats a fabulous dress!

Zembo I avoid soft play at any cost! The ones over here are not as good as some of the UK ones and its just manic with wild older kids running around whilst their parents are no-where to be seen. Brings me out in hives just thinking about going! Smile

DS2 was very sick in the night - random occurance I think as fine this am but had to strip the bed, wash DS2 and the walls at 3am! No school today (groups 1 and 2 have they have 13 Fridays off a year!!!!) so a nice lazy morning.

Watched Mistresses last night - was a bit hmmm about it all tbh - but Katie (Sarah Parish) had the most amazing large glazed ceramic clock on the wall of her house - looked beige in colour and v simple but stylish. Am now googling furiously to find one!

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2010 07:57

happy birthday Rufus! Love the dress, what a fab o dh Smile.

This weather! Raining for days!

hellsbelles · 27/08/2010 09:49

bored of the thread???! Never. It cheers up my day.

Rufus - many (belated) happy returns! What a wonderful dress. Clever DH. Did you have to drop many hints or did he find it himself?

Cake - I'm afraid I'm behind on everything and don't know what you were launching the other day but hope it went well.

Tracey - oh Tracey - with that link you've got me all in a muddle. I love that Joseph coat. But I was very avid indeed yesterday and bought a new coat (link to follow if I can find it - can you believe I actually bought it in RL rather than online). But now I want that one Sad

Feeling very blurgghhh today. I woke up at 2am last night feeling very sick. Tossed and turned for about an hour but have woken up well enough to 'manage'. I was actually thinking it would be rather wonderful to spend a day in bed...not to be Wink

OWW - sounds like your DS has the same thing! Hope he gets better quickly.

Off to the swings now - armed with towels and umbrella.

Zembo · 27/08/2010 10:30

It's actually sunny here today. Shame we're housebound waiting for DHL. Making the most of it though and have made a fish pie for lunch with the DC. DD has also had a little mini pedicure wish she loved Smile

OWW sorry to hear about your nightime trauma!

Tracey Lakeland is another one of my addictions. I have absolutely LOADS of stuff from there; this also arrived yesterday and DD loves it.

rufus101 · 27/08/2010 10:33

Cornsilky they are from a site called Plumo. If you click on the 2nd link I did to the Bette jacket, it will take you to the site. They are gorgeous but very £££!
Am intrigued by the heated rail. Would the radiators not give same effect though? Think you can get some kind of frame to put on radiator. Must look it up.
Happy Friday everyone. Going to do some RL shopping tomorrow! Yipee! Looking forward to trying on some A/W boots!

rufus101 · 27/08/2010 10:38

Helles he went into our Dublin equivalent of Selfridges himself yesterday morning and just had a quick look around and spotted it. He's very decisive and has a great eye. I love when he comes shopping with me, as he has really good taste. Sadly he hates shopping so this is a rare event. I keep wailing "but you're so good at it"!!!

FritziGreenEyes · 27/08/2010 10:52

Glad you had a great birthday rufus. That dress is stunning.

More sheepskin here

FritziGreenEyes · 27/08/2010 10:56

Hope DS is better today ollie. DD has day of kindergarden today too. Went out for breakfast with her and it was really nice to have a break from the usual rush in the morning.
