I haven't but most ( have not checked everything) is in stock now.

mmm is it worth asking for them to send me the 8 then, if you look at their measurements all the blazers are in theory the same width, I suspect it is the way the shoulders are cut.

hattymattie · 05/08/2010 18:33

Katy1 I'm size 12 and fancied the printed cord dress in purple - was this one of the colours you tried? I must say you've put me off a bit saying it's frumpy - I think I'll wait for winter preview now!

Katy1 thanks - I'm 5'7 but am also better in fitted stuff so am going to wait. Really like knitted dress but have found that their mixed fibres seem to develop fuzzy balls very quickly.

Oumasrusks · 06/08/2010 12:54

I have just received the cosmopolitan tee and the uptown top in peacock and both are fantastic. The uptown top definitely suits a bigger bust (as I have). The arms are a bit long for me though and I did size down as the neckline is VERY low.

I have the printed cord dress in charcoal and I'm unsure as to whether I'm going to keep it or not. It's quite big on top but a size smaller will be too small on the bottom for me. Hmmmm... It's very soft and comfortable though.

purplepeony · 06/08/2010 13:39

I have the Uptown top in a size 8 and I honestly don't think the neckline is low. It shows a bit of cleavage but not too much.

OP posts:
Oumasrusks · 06/08/2010 13:53

purplepeony - that's the size I got too and the neckline is fine but I think if I'd got a 10 it would have been too low. I don't ever show cleavage though, so maybe that's why I think it's low-ish?

traceybath · 06/08/2010 14:10

Katy - I got the printed cord dress in the charcoal colourway.

I'm generally a size 8 but 6 in boden and got the 6r. I like it actually - will wear it with charcoal grey tights and grey shoeboots with black biker jacket or denim jacket on top.

Could see how it could easily be frumpy if worn with some stuff though.

But it is comfy and warm and will be easy for the winter so a keeper.

Also got the hampton t-shirt in navy and cream stripe and like it a lot.

Straight jeans vile though.

purplepeony · 06/08/2010 14:34

ouma- I was thinking of sizing up to the 10 but didn't. I wouldn't wear the top for work etc as it is slightly low cut but it's nice for evening/casual wear. I agree that the sleeves are long- I might shorten them or just push them up.

Well in a complete about face, I have sent the Copenhagen tunic back and kept the Nottting Hill silk dress.

Yes, the fit of the tunic was perfect but whoever said about the creasing and the thin quality fabric is 100% right, it's just not worth the money. So back it goes.

The qualm I had about the Notting Hill dress was the baggy fit around the waist/under the bust but the fabric, length, sleeves, neckline etc were all otherwise perfect. Sizing down would have meant it was too tight over the bust. I tried it on and took it off, tried it on, took it off, put it in the bag, labelled it up for returns and then tried it on again, this time with a skinny belt (to slightly cinch in the waist) and some gorgeous shoes and lo! It is transformed. So now I am keeping it.

I'm only 5ft but its quite fitted on me and just above the knee. Its definitely not cutting-edge though Wink

No boots as yet - am guessing it'll be another month or so until the shops have a decent range in.

Just been looking at the new AW Brora stuff and lots of very odd dresses at very £££.

sorky · 06/08/2010 17:47

Got mine today.

Love the Breton knitted dress in purple.

Copenhagen tunic does crease very easily, feels nice, excellent fit. Dh likes it Grin Not sure about it though, material is thin, hmmmm

Outgoing top in peacock is gorgeous. Fit is good and the silk detail neckline is understated and pretty. Will likely order in other colours.

Drapey cardigan is expensive, but good fit, nice colour. Lighter weight than I thought. May well keep.

Can recommend the mini girls duffle in green, fantastic! Dd2 will get 2 years of wear out of it.

I wasn't expecting any of the stuff to fit, but I'm not curvy so maybe that's it.

hattymattie · 06/08/2010 18:16

Thanks Traceybath and Katie - might go for magenta cord printed after all - just want nice day dress I can wear with boots for winter. Like the idea of denim jacket. Oumaskrusks said it's big up top so may work for me as have widish shoulders and sometimes find these things tight ... dithering now ...

bodeniiiiites · 06/08/2010 18:26

Re Brora. I love some of the tops but for heavens sake how can someone justify spending that amount on knitwear?

Northernlurker · 06/08/2010 18:26

My cosmopolitan tee arrived today and i'm really pleased.

purplepeony · 06/08/2010 18:52

Where are the blinking reviews- they said by yesterday on phone-is this a ploy to make people order and keep, and not be put off by neg reviews?

hattymattie · 06/08/2010 21:02

Don't tell them about this pageGrin.

I am wearing cord dress today with belt around waist and denim jacket - looks nice and de-frumpified. However do worry I will bump into some-one wearing it with some nice courts and pearls Grin

Katy - I do indeed live very near Bath but haven't been to the spa but know lots of people who have and do rate it.

kittya · 07/08/2010 13:08

no reviews again? Its a complete joke now. I bet they have had more returns then they have sold things. If this thread is anything to go by. They really want to think about their pricing and sizing. Im getting very frustrated now!! Im also wondering if they are going to get my exchanges right.

NomDePlume · 07/08/2010 16:37

yes, some things are vastly, eyewateringly overpriced.

KristinaM · 07/08/2010 17:12

darn, tracey, i have sent mine back. i never though of courts and pearls.....Grin

purplepeony · 07/08/2010 19:42
