The previous Carry On thread is full, so thought I'd start the new one.

General comments, thoughts, anything that we fancy but NO willy waving!

I know it's late but kangertech apparently are renowned for having the odd batch of faulty batches. Take it back to the shop and they should change it. They did with my subvod and they just changed it over and explained that every now and then they get a dodgy batch

kimlo · 22/09/2016 17:25

its going back tomorrow anyway, this morning it just didnt fire up. It looks like it should be working on the screen that all normal, its just not doing anything.

FurryDogMother · 23/09/2016 21:53

Hope you got it sorted out, kimlo. Today I ordered a Cleito tank (and extra 0.2 ohm coils). I've been lusting after one for a while, but then found a 20% off voucher so went for it. I shan't get my hairy little hands on the thing until I'm back in the |UK on Tuesday evening, but am ridiculously excited. Also treated myself to 2 hand-turned drip tips from Garry Dibley. I'm planning on putting it on my Cool Fire 4 +, but am also considering getting the Cool Fire 4 100w Temperature control mod - unless anyone can recommend something better? My shinyitis is kicking in again :)

KittyOShea · 24/09/2016 16:07

I'm still dual fuelling after around 5 weeks. Can't seem to break dependence on 3 real cigs a day- morning one, after work and after dinner. Anyone any suggestions to beat them?

I am really enjoying my e cig- raspberry menthol tastes so much nicer than real cigs.

I am using a mini istick with an aspire k1 tank which is all going fine.

On the plus side I have had a terrible cold for a couple of weeks but did not develop a chest infection with my much reduced smoking.

That's a good way to look at it Polter.

I will get there in the end Grin

hollinhurst84 · 27/09/2016 09:39

I threw my last 6 cigs in the bin today. They've been in my bag since I quit but I felt ready to throw them Smile

FurryDogMother · 27/09/2016 10:32

That's great, hollinhurst :D You're stronger than me, I had to make sure I didn't have any available to me, else I know I'd have given in and smoked them. Yesterday marked 3 months off the stinkies for me, I am determined never to smoke again, because I know if I did, that would be me, back smoking full time again. Most of the time I'm fine, just the very, very rare craving now - like when I think what smoking was like... like...erm...now...lol...ah well, no tobacco within 2 miles of me at the moment, so I'm safe!

hollinhurst84 · 27/09/2016 10:50

I can't stand it - really struggle being near people when I'm in the smoking area now! Incredibly surprised at how I am too

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 28/09/2016 20:51

Shit, I haven't posted on here for so long it's fallen off TIO Blush

Hey Polter, how's it going? I'm a bit drunk because I've been promoted and have the day off tomorrow Grin

hollin and fury well done! Star The day I knew I'd cracked it was (oddly) after a night when I'd ended up smoking, about 4 months in. I hadn't taken enough eliquid out for an evening in the pub. I went out and scoured every local shop for any old shitty eliquid and couldn't find any so I ended up blagging a couple of roll ups. They were so rank and smelly and the next morning my chest was so tight. It was a pleasure to get back to the vape.

How's it going, Kitty?

madgerussell1920 · 28/09/2016 21:26

Another new confused one.
I bought some Matchless ecigs which I like but were working out quite expensive.
When I was on holiday in August someone was talking to me about tanks. Looked online, got very confused so ended up buying 2 basic Matchless tanks online.
Quite happy with them and read here about the LiQuid for £1. Bought a few and love the cappuccino.
Seem to be getting through a lot of coils though and read somewhere that liquids with sugar in burn out coils quicker.
Is that correct ?
Also read about rewicking coils but can't see how to do it with the ones I have.
Can I get better coils which fit with Matchless or should I buy a better kit altogether?
TIM

hollinhurst84 · 28/09/2016 21:38

Yeah I still want nicotine and still get nicotine cravings but the idea of smoking... Nope

Thanks so much Polter.
I've been trying to work out how long a coil lasts before replying. Difficult to say time wise. I had the impression they were lasting around 5 days but am Vaping more recently as going through quite a stressful time.
One coil lasted for two thirds of a bottle of Matchless own premium tobacco liquid which is clear. How does that sound to you ?
Trying to do everything like keeping the coil covered, giving time for a new coil to absorb the liquid etc.
Now starting the same experiment using LiQuid cappuccino.
Maybe will write to Matchless asking them if that is normal for one of their coils.
The kit you recommended looks fantastic but a bit out of my price range atm. I've still got 2 matchless tanks and 4 batteries so maybe will stick with them until the batteries die and then decide.
Maybe go back to the ecigs. Much less hassle and I think cheaper. But then they don't come in lovely cappuccino.

Stoneagemum · 01/10/2016 19:58

I've just switched tanks to the nautilus x from a nautilus mini (as there are no mini coils in the 4 shops in my town) and am finding in going through a lot more juice.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 11/10/2016 09:24
now has UK screening dates!

Tickets here Smile

hollinhurst84 · 11/10/2016 22:50

Ah it's screening at the cinema 5 mins from me on a day I'm off work! I'll keep an eye on the ticket situation

Allergictoironing · 13/10/2016 07:42

Dammit my back won't let me see stuff in the cinema - my back hates the seats & seizes up after about 30 mins. I'll just have to wait until it's on Sky...

I just did some basic calculations and have decided to mix my own, nicotine free. By my reckoning it's going to cost 3.85 per 50 mls so cheaper than even the £1 liquids but for the fanciest flavours. Vaping king concentrates look like really good value.

Dontneedausername · 18/10/2016 10:03

I don't know how they compare cost-wise, but the alchemists Cupboard have quite a lot :)

magimedi · 19/10/2016 09:41

4 years today that I have been fag free!!

Still vaping, still using my beloved 'The Sherlock'.

I know this is a boast but it is also to encourage everyone - honestly I smoked for over 40 years & never thought I'd quit with such ease.
