The Bonus Mums (BoMs) Wine drinking thread is now resuming normal service on SP.
Take a seat on our Passive Agressive Furniture and pour yourself a nice Wine.

Cakes and Double G&Ts are also welcome.

Might have to just have a Brew as Wine makes me go all red! Also no Biscuit for me as I have a Biscuit phobia - dont ask!

May as well kick back and relax tonight while DP is over babysitting! Although I do need to iron and rehang some curtains.... (oh what an exciting life I lead!)

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 02/04/2011 20:46

Whatever drink you fancy is good. This is all about indulging in what you fancy and let off some steam when needed !

I'm on Wine atm, a rather nice Spanish wine I must add.

Well now that I've experienced the joy of ironing curtains I might have a hot chocolate....

Actually - considering how much I hate ironing, it was actually quite therapeutic tonight!

Beamur · 02/04/2011 21:59

No ironing for me tonight, my Mum very kindly did all of mine yesterday. I have however been cleaning the grouting in my bathroom today, with bleach and a toothbrush - tedious, but it is finally looking clean. Rah.

Woozlemum · 02/04/2011 22:15

I did that a while back and ended up getting one of those grout white pens for the final once over to really make it look clean lol.

Right - curtains rehung - although now cursing myself as when pulling the string on the header tape on one of them it pulled the string out of the stitching on the end so no doubt these curtains will fall apart in a short space of time, but at least they will be crease free until then.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/04/2011 11:53

It's a bit early for Wine so have a Brew and a Biscuit instead.

Its all good. Cards had been purchased and misplaced.

Flowers, chocolates and cards have been applied and all is soothed again.

but it was a close thing...

cheekyprincess · 03/04/2011 17:51

Bh- could be worse, bought my own present and got no card. Plus ds has been a right sod today. At least ny dogs love me...

nenevomito · 03/04/2011 18:08

That happened to me two years ago. I tore a strip off explained gently that I had certain expectations and he wasn't to let it happen again. DH got stroppy back explained in a reasoned manner why he thought it was all a con to get him to spend money.

I then explained that as he wasn't the spontaneous flowers / gifts / romance kind of guy that the least I expected was him to recognise the standard days - e.g. My birthday, Valentines, Mothers Day & our Anniversary and failure to do so would result in major sulks and a kick in the nads upset me.

So far, so good...

I'm here!

I am eating chocolate, drinking wine and have the PC all to myself while DH watches MOTD on Sky. Ahhhhhh.

As soon as Waking the Dead comes on its mine, all mine!

ConfessionsOfaFlask · 03/04/2011 20:43

Evening ladies- did someone mention Gin & water ? Grin

DH has been a star- He took the girls shopping yesterday for both me and DSDs mum- I had breakfast in bed and gifts/cards this morning and then DH cooked up a fabulous roast chicken lunch.
