The Bonus Mums (BoMs) Wine drinking thread is now resuming normal service on SP.
Take a seat on our Passive Agressive Furniture and pour yourself a nice Wine.

Cakes and Double G&Ts are also welcome.

Hello all

I'm enjoying this bed rest outside in the sun :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 11/04/2011 18:21

Gotten cooler today!

We went to B&Q and we now have lots of plants in our garden! Still got a few more to do which I will try and get done this week.

cheekyprincess · 11/04/2011 23:18

Everyone's doing the gardening thing at the moment. I had to go to 3 different garden centers to find strawberry plants today. Then the midget dropped them. Last time I ask a 2 year old to hold something while I hunt down the car keys.

WinterLover · 12/04/2011 10:12

Hello everyone!! How are you lovely ladies today?

PegsOnTheLilac · 13/04/2011 10:07

I'm back- it was a long weekend and I I got really pissed was busy with DH's work do and having a bit of grown-up time. As you do.

How is everyone ?

WinterLover · 13/04/2011 10:10

Hey pegd, its been rather quiet on here recently....

Im very well thanks. Sounds like you have a drunken lovely weekend :)

PegsOnTheLilac · 13/04/2011 10:14

It must be spring time- every one is out !

WinterLover · 13/04/2011 10:19

Yeah thats probably it :) its too hot outside for me tho lol

theredhen · 13/04/2011 11:09

Am looking forward to getting home from work tomorrow and having the house back to ourselves after step children have gone back to Mum's. I may partake in a glass or two of vino. Grin

Am looking forward to a nice day out on Friday with a friend and DS and her DD. Fingers crossed for nice weather.

Having step kids for the week has actually been OK because DP hasn't been constantly out, leaving me with all the kids (not so many school runs and clubs) and I have been at work a lot of the time anyway. Eldest DSD has been out, so DP has had to actually "think" before he goes out anywhere as to how DSD4 will be looked after instead of just assuming I am there or DSD1 is there to "babysit". We've done stuff together as a family too.

WinterLover · 13/04/2011 11:22

Hi theredhen Pleased you've been having a good week. We've not been able to get DBD any extra, due to her many school club days this week and DP working. Its working well tho as we had her till late on sunday then we have her friday - dinner sunday this weekend as she has a St Georges Day march to go to.

ExW is being fairly nice regarding DBD and extra time, and its unerving as she's being nice to me too. She actually came to the car on Sat to 'have a chat and say hello' Hmm

theredhen · 13/04/2011 11:28

Winter,

Crikey, that's better than me, she won't even meet me, the woman that spends time with her kids a third of their lives. Hmm

The cynical side of me thinks maybe your DBD Mum is building up to something?

Eldest DBD has popped back to Mum's a few times, and ex hasn't even bothered to leave her boyfriends house (2 doors down from hers) to see her daughter!

WinterLover · 13/04/2011 11:35

Funny you should say The cynical side of me thinks maybe your DBD Mum is building up to something? Thats what Ive been thinking but to be honest since she found out im expecting she's been nice so I wonder if its because as Il have my own child i will no longer be a threat of 'trying to take her DD away from her' not that I have anyway but hey ho.

Im still expecting shit to hit the fan at some point. Whenever it goes quiet there is usually something building up...

Thats crap, your poor DBD :(

nenevomito · 13/04/2011 14:37

Hello all, it's me, I'm back and boy am I in a bolshy mood.

This week I am mostly being pissed off by...

  1. People who make plans with you, but later change their minds and instead of letting you know don't phone, text or answer when you call. Fuckers.
  2. The twat in town who didn't look where they were going and walked into my son.
  3. The new teeth in my child's mouth that are causing her to be a grumpy grump.
  4. The people who let you down suddenly being available by phone and text once the time had passed.
  5. the letter A and the number 11. (no reason, just a sesame street moment)
PegsOnTheLilac · 13/04/2011 15:52

Ice and a slice darling ?

Grin
nenevomito · 13/04/2011 15:55

Ooh thanks. Why have doubles when free pouring is more liberating.

Do you have chocolate muffings

No healthy crap thanks!

PegsOnTheLilac · 13/04/2011 16:14

only chocolate, of course!

nenevomito · 13/04/2011 17:01

fantastic. I've heard there are bran muffins around and they sound dangerous.

Boy am I in a grump. At the moment I am half-heartedly trying to stop DD from teething on DS's sandals. I should care more, but am losing the will to live!! In many ways I am glad that DD is miserable and running a temp while I'm off work as it saves the guilt, but in other ways its a real sod. Humph.

mruffln nrrumph murrfnn? Mrunmmm!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 13/04/2011 19:33

I'm in a grump because it has gotten really cold again.

I hope it warms up for my birthday next week!

berrieberrie · 13/04/2011 19:47

Enters thread for the first time and shudders at the thought of a 'chat and hello' from Dp's ex by the car.

I used to get all that passive agressive business from her until one day I said: look, you're a horrible person, you swear and shout at the man I love and make him feel like a crap dad, and you talk about me behind my back to your daughter who I aim trying to help you raise, so I don't want to be your friend, ok?'

No reply but the chats and hellos stopped Grin

Anyway, I sense that's probably too serious for this thread. So, can I play?

Can I bribe you with Wine

cheekyprincess · 13/04/2011 20:04

Evening all! Sorry you're in a grump, Baby. Did you know smirnoff do an Apple vodka that is sublime? Mixes far too well with limeade. May help take the edge off.

Hi, berrieberrie!

berrieberrie · 13/04/2011 20:11

Hello Grin

allnewtaketwo · 13/04/2011 20:18

Hi all - haven't posted on here for a week or so and I've lost track of namechanges?
Hello berrieberrie - saw you on the other thread! No, not too serious, everyone is welcome to a rant and here is a good place to have one!

nenevomito · 13/04/2011 20:57

All welcome on the boozy philosophy of step thread Grin.

Apple Vodka and Limeade sounds good.

Very good.

Very good indeed.

PegsOnTheLilac · 13/04/2011 21:23

Any type of booze drink is good.
Grin

cheekyprincess · 13/04/2011 21:27

Baby, you have no idea! Just sent dp out for more. Happy me! Dp lied to dbs tonight. Dbs asked to be taken to emergency dentist and dp said he'd had a drink and couldn't. To be fair, dbs is a massive hypochondriac but I feel uneasy about it. I would have turned out. For the hour trip each way. For nothing. To be supportive. Why wouldn't he?

Meh, not my problem. I wasn't asked. Going to sit here with my dogs, one up on the sofa having her ears rubbed and the other woofing in his sleep in the basket, waiting for my vodka. Is it wrong to enjoy this more than leaving my house?
