This is going to be an interesting year with the regulation change.

Rumours are Mercedes and RB engines are exploiting a loophole and so may have the most powerful engines.

AM will have a car with significant input from Adrian Newey.

Sauber becomes Audi and we have an 11th team, Cadillac.

Christian Horner seems very keen to get back into F1, preferably Alpine with Flávio - they deserve each other.

There is closed door testing in Barcelona then open testing from 11 February at Sakhir.

Oh Lewis. I usually have a lot of sympathy for him and penalties, but pit lane speeding is just unnecessary and he should know better by now.

Glad to see McLaren upgrades are competitive and pleased for Lando but gutted for OP, just when it looked like he might have a decent race

I do find it hard to follow the race lower down.

Lance was 13th and Fernando 14th that must be a relief to Aston Martin.

Sadly Williams have gone to the back of the Grid.

I had high hopes for Williams this season but it’s really not good for them.

poor Oscar isn’t happy.

I think the summer break is going to be good for George and Lewis. It lets them have time to take stock and come back refreshed.

Toto finally admitted that it’s not good enough for George’s car.

I thought they had admitted that before or "found what the problem was" ....except they havent!

That was the most animated and angry I’ve ever heard Oscar. Must sting to know he should have been on the podium.

I continue to be impressed by Kimi. Was feeling bad for him after the questionable yellow flag penalty but he drove a very mature, composed eace and managed to increase his WDC lead.

Has Carlos said anything? That was really bad driving on his part.

I think Oscar was in Carlos’ blind spot. He was focused on fighting Alonso and missed Oscar approaching.

I certainly think it was a misjudgement not deliberate as Carlos is a clean racer.

He might have been focused on fighting Alonso but it is clear that he missed 3 blue flags on track (regardless of what his in car system or his engineers were telling him). Missing flags is serious.

I agree missing flags is serious. I just think it was a misjudgement.

Ive seen one quote where he said sorry but he also said Oscar should take some responsibility, and that he didnt realise he was there.

Reckon theyre probably both super frustrated, Wee-ums has had an awful start in the new regulations and Oscar - when it finally looked like McLaren was compritive - had his race compromised and was slower than Lando (and thats before the gearbox retirement)

Although also unbelievably unlucky for George ....again....not many happy drivers - apart from Kimi and Lando!

Carlos has come across very badly in this. Apparently he is notorious for impeding and out of all of the drivers, he is the worst culprit. The lack of genuine apology or ownership is a shock to me. He always seemed like a decent guy and I have lost a little respect for him now.

I wasn’t aware of that and like you I’m disappointed if that is the case.
