I haven't seen it yet. Won't have Sky so I have to wait until it gets to YouTube. Don't really know what to think, yet.

Re Chloe Kelly, she has had an injury and perhaps that's why RS waited - perhaps ideally she would have tried to win the game without risking her, to make sure she was fully fit for Lyon?

MrsMitford3 · 05/10/2025 09:00

The was def a punch in the gut but am immediately cheered by Chloe Kelly's top tier social media trolling...

Can you link an example? I need something to smile about.

Very good! I like her, she's tough.

DuncinToffee · 05/10/2025 11:53

Doe anyone know why today's matches kick off at 11:55?

OP posts:
Snowypeaks · 05/10/2025 13:01

Because Women's FA Cup early rounds are on at 14:00 and they want a bit of a gap between the two lots of coverage, given extra time and a news bulletin or something? Just me guessing.

CrossPurposes · 05/10/2025 13:28

They are all on Sky so I suspect it's to avoid clashing with men's matches.

DuncinToffee · 05/10/2025 13:59

Thanks, the 5 minutes just looks so random but I can see it being a tv scheduling thing.

We drew with Leicester, looked better as a team but a very poor goal to concede.

Our local team is in the FA round, DD played for their very first all girls team (U10s)

Does your DD still play?

DuncinToffee · 05/10/2025 14:15

No, she played for 2 seasons but we couldn't get enough players so the team got disbanded. Other girls team were too far away.

She played with school until Covid and then lost interest.

What a shame. Quite a common story, no doubt.

How long after the match can you watch it on YouTube?

Snowypeaks · 12/10/2025 04:37

Depends. I think it's 24-48 hours depending on which Sky channel it was on.
I am really pissed off with their coverage. Having so many games all on at the same stupid time on a Sunday just so they can experiment with Multiview...🤐

ETA: And sometimes one of the matches is on their YouTube channel simultaneously.

Edited

Thanks. Do you mean the WSL YouTube channel or the Sky YouTube channel?

Yes, 12 on Sunday is so inconvenient. I think I might wait until it is on YouTube too and try not to see the result.

BackToRealitySigh · 12/10/2025 08:45

Good morning. Can I join you.
United fan with 2 x girls who are massive Spurs fans. Live on the outskirts of London so spend way more time at Brisbane Road/watching Spurs than United.
Spurs have had an incredible start to the season. Tinka looks like an amazing signing - in her first game rhe way she holds the nall up & everything isn't just left to Beth in isolation is great. Last season was dire.
Obviously the aim will be to keep the score down against Chelsea today 🤣

Live match is on the Sky YouTube channel.
But the delayed full match replays are on Barclays WSL YouTube.

United? Pah! Spurs?? Double pah!
😁just kidding! Lovely to meet you, from an Arsenal fan.

Tandberg announced herself in style, didn't she? Such great recruitment. Spurs looking worryingly good.
United have so impressed me over the last couple of seasons. I have had to take back everything I said about Mark Skinner, man knows what he's doing in the teeth of owner hostility. Impeccable squad management.

ETA: And the best of luck to Spurs against Chelsea today.

This!!

Snowypeaks · 12/10/2025 09:21

Sorry about the good luck wishes to Spurs against your side, HannahHampton'sgloves, but this is war! 😁

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2025 09:50

We are playing at the Hill Dickinson stadium today 💙More than 17,000 tickets sold.

Shame it's against Man U, not that hopeful for a result.

OP posts:
Snowypeaks · 12/10/2025 10:06

Why are you playing there instead of your new home at Goodison Park?

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2025 10:13

Because the rules state that the women have to play at least one match at club’s nominated main stadium, guess this weekend was a good opportunityto do so.

Really? Whose rules? FA/WSL?

DuncinToffee · 12/10/2025 10:18

WSL rules.

I only found out that they existed when this match was first announced beause everyone was going 'why?'

Something to do with giving lower league teams the chance to play in a proper stadium iirc.
