The matches Aston Villa v Liverpool and Burnley v West Brom have been postponed in the wake of Matt Beard's death.

I saw that. Very sad news. 47 is so young. The tributes are very touching, must be comforting for his family. But postponing matches is over the top, I think. Unfair on the supporters, especially the travelling fans. It's not a national emergency or a national tragedy - a short ceremony or something is more appropriate. The minute's silence was very respectfully observed in the Brighton match, so that was nice.

I was surprised by the decision to cancel the matches too.

She started slowly but warmed up. Still tries to do too much on her own, but perhaps this goal on her first start will give her confidence and encourage her to listen to her coach and bring other players in more.
Michelle was a bit unlucky but I love Vidosic for playing her down the middle. All her instincts, her technique and mentality are great, but she has to learn to do the boring stuff at this level - holding up the ball, pressing etc. And my little bugbear - please Mich, learn to tackle properly. She's like a kid in the playground who just pushes another child over because she wants the toy they have.

ETA: Basically win fouls, don't give them away in forward areas.

Who on earth votes for a player who wasn’t in the Euro championship winning team or the Champions league winning team? Uninformed men? It’s a joke.
