@BellaAmorosa I feel safer in my bed at night knowing no Yankee jackets sneaking in...

BellaAmorosa · 18/04/2024 14:24

Don't you mean "Yankees jackets"? (taps side of nose). All code, remember.

Oxonc3 · 27/04/2024 12:14

Chelsea v Barca today. Will be keeping a close eye on Emma Hayes 😂

DuncinToffee · 27/04/2024 12:35

We have 9 players out for tomorrow's match 😬

Oh my goodness! New injuries, then?
(Selfishly hoping Kathrine Kuhl isn't one of the injured players)

BellaAmorosa · 27/04/2024 12:58

Oxonc3
I will be keeping an eye on it but not properly watching.

DuncinToffee · 27/04/2024 13:01

Kuhl is fine, the other 8 are injuries, new and old Smile

I wanted Chelsea to win the CL in spite of EH, as the only English club.

But now that they are out I am pleased that EH wasn't the winning manager.

BellaAmorosa · 27/04/2024 21:37

I'll admit I didn't want Chelsea to win but I feel sorry for them - I didn't see the game but it seems there were a couple of very questionable refereeing decisions, including the second yellow.

DuncinToffee · 27/04/2024 21:47

I haven't seen the game either but listened to a bit of EH's post match interview and she mentioned the questionable decisions, she was quite emotional I thought.

BellaAmorosa · 27/04/2024 22:33

Can't feel sorry for EH personally, I'm afraid, but nobody likes the result of a match to be influenced by the ref.
Having said that, I read through the BBC live reporting and it did look as if Barça would have won anyway, but it might have gone to extra time and then who knows?

Oxonc3 · 27/04/2024 23:19

The first half Chelsea wasted plenty of opportunities- one hit the bar, several wild ‘shots’ that were well wide. They definitely had the best of the first half. The sending off I didn’t see properly but the ref was bad. Several times she was in the way of play and the ball definitely hit her at least once. Second half was much more Barca, and weird because there was no clock/countdown during time added on so all just finished in a bit of a shambles- didn’t hear the whistle. We are Gooners but go to Chelsea sometimes with family, so not too upset 😂

DuncinToffee · 28/04/2024 14:43

I am really happy with that draw and what a moment for Issy Hobson!

A good week for us Toffees 💙

Everton deserved it, no complaints here!
Well done go to Hobson.

I must admit, when I heard the commentator say it had been 13 years (he did say 13 not 12), I thought ok, we are definitely dropping points today!

That game was our season in microcosm.

Crystal Palace have won the Championship and are promoted to the WSL

That photo brings back sad memories - that's Viv Miedema from last season. I wish the working group every success. I wonder why half of the WSL clubs didn't want to participate?

“To marry up injury data and menstrual cycles, it is novel yet it's crazy that other people aren't really doing it.”

So true

There was a very interesting bit on the Arsenal netflix show where the Arsenal doctor? Physio? not entirely sure title but talked very eloquently and knowledgeably about this-think lots of research going into it.
Also some lovely behind the scenes/personal lives.
Highly recommend a watch.

Oh, yes! I'd forgotten about that. Off-season viewing, I think. Gosh, that's less than one month away...

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 01/05/2024 21:07

Poor Chelsea. It must be that male aggression again.
