Have been watching my local rugby club today- so enjoyed catching up with this thread, im seven sheets. Great result for Forrest, not sure quite how I feel about it.

I have to say they deserved it. I like Anthony Elanga and was sorry he was sold. It has made me question Ten Hag's judgement. I also think that Gary Neville is right. It's so disheartening that they are unwatchable a lot of the time.

Think that’s up there with the most blatant examples of cheating you’ll see in a professional football game.

Did we deserve to win? No. Was that a cheating bastard dive from Jota? Yes.

The fact he didn’t just stick the ball in the open net is embarrassing tbh.

I normally like Gary Neville but his hard in for Liverpool couldn’t have been more evident on co-comms tonight and Peter Drury could not tell his Joelinton’s from his Bruno’s or his Miley’s from his Longstaff’s all bloody night.

I am really really not looking forward to this weekends FA cup game. I don’t enjoy derby days as a rule as the tension is just too much and this one feels like it has even more riding on it than usual. First time playing Sunderland in over 7 years, such a poor run of form going into the game, knocked out of UCL and carabao cup in last month, last thing we need is to be dumped out the FA cup as well.

I have everything crossed for a good result but I have that familiar pit of dread in my stomach that has been notably absent for the last 18 months or so as a Newcastle fan.

I think you are much more likely to win than we are against Liverpool on Sunday.

We couldn't have got a worse draw especially as we really need a win after two losses.

Derbies are not my favourite events either, usually start the day with the intention not to watch but by kick off TV's on and I'm there, edge of seat 😂

The BBC have chosen Gillingham's ground to host Football Focus this Saturday and
there's a nice interview with Steve Clemence chatting about his Dad Ray ahead of the Sheff Utd game. We tend to play well in the big cup games so hopefully be a decent match.

It is completely unfathomable that they decided to do this. If I was a SAFC 🤮 fan I’d be livid with the club.
