The thing about football - the important thing about football - is that it is not just about football.

That's why DH and I have always played the Sky one together. It's best when we each have players in opposing teams.

I should also warn people that anyone I pick in my team often seems to end up injured early in the season.

I tried to sign up but the website just crashed my chromebook

I just did it on my phone as I couldn't be arsed getting my Chromebook out. Hope you can get it sorted ok though.

And would anyone mind if DH joined in too? He's asked at his work if anyone wants to do one there but I don't know how many takers he will get because we're in Scotland.

It works on Firefox, I can log in and select my squad but no idea how to join the league

When you're on the "my team" page, scroll down and on the right you should see "create & join leagues". The "join a league & cup", and "join invitational league & cup". Just pop in the league code and you're in.

I've no objection to any friends and family joining.

Do I have to enter a squad selection first?

When I did it I clicked on the link on my phone and selected my squad and when I confirmed my squad I was put into the MN league and didn't have to put the code in.

@Tarkan i have no probs with your DH joining, more the merrier.

I have no idea who to put into my squad, this is really a lot more difficult than I anticipated

I'll join the Fantasy Football League. I haven't done it for years now so I'm going to be totally rubbish at it.

We've got a late start to the season, being the Monday night game. I'm a United fan (shock horror, I'm actually from Manchester 😂).

I think it's going to be an interesting season, at least I hope so and I'm thinking that there are a few teams who'll be a surprise (in the premier league).

I'm off for dinner with DH before we head to Gayfield tonight. If anyone wants to watch and cheer for Arbroath for us it's on BBC Scotland which I think you can get on iplayer when you're outside Scotland. Kick off is 7.45pm.

If you want to try to spot me I sit a few rows behind the away dugout near a huge pole, I'm wearing dark dungarees, a light grey Arbroath training top and a maroon Arbroath bucket hat. I also have a khaki hoodie which I might have to throw on later. I mean we are the closest stadium in Europe to the sea apparently so I might get chilly later.
