Football is back and so are the fans ⚽

As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/Any leagues world wide)

😀

Well done Everton, just watched the highlights.

Looking forward to Sunday, I'm going for a Norwich win!! 😬

Hope Leeds stay up.

WhiteHartLane · 20/05/2022 14:10

When I saw the score at half-time I feared the worst for Everton but they didn't give up so fair play. I'm happy to see them stay up.
I don't want Leeds down either but I can't see them getting anything out of Brentford sadly so another season with hoof-ball Burnley awaits.

What is going on with the pitch invasions though?! Its happened in all the play-off's this week and its getting quite dangerous.

DuncinToffee · 20/05/2022 16:20

I can understand the pitch invasions because of the emotions involved but it is always the few fuckwits who mess it up for everyone else.

I can't choose between Burnley and Leeds, it's a horrible position to be in and I feel for both sets of fans.

WhiteHartLane · 20/05/2022 19:02

I understand them when celebrating promotion/survival/cup wins and its nice to see the fans celebrate with the players. I'm a bit perplexed as to how winning the 1st leg of a playoff warrants them though Grin

Yes I sympathize with the fans, it is a horrible feeling going into the final day not knowing what league your team will be in next season. I was a nervous, but hopeful, wreck on the last day of L1 Sad

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 21/05/2022 11:31

So Saka was nominated for both POTS & YPOTS while Foden was only nominated for YPOTS, but somehow Foden ends up winning the YPOTS over Saka.

Make it make sense...

Is Norwich v spurs on the telly anywhere?

Ah, apparently Gary Neville and Jermain Jenas were on the panel to choose the winner.

How could I have doubted it...

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 22/05/2022 10:42

Feels nice going into the last game with nothing to play for. 3rd all sorted which looked shakey a few weeks back but done and dusted.

DuncinToffee · 22/05/2022 10:44

I certainly does Smile

TV coverage is crap today. Seems you can see more if you are in the US. One should be on BT sport if Sky aren't showing them.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 22/05/2022 12:31

Agreed. Surely Sky have enough channels that they could show all the games and give us a choice.

Davros · 22/05/2022 13:26

I'm so pissed off that we can't see Norwich v Spurs on the telly

AndNobbyDancing · 22/05/2022 13:31

It's the Spurs game I want to watch.

I don't get it. They are filming them all so why can't they show them, Sky isn't cheap.

Wonder what they'd done if it was still close? Not that it's set in stone but you'd expect Spurs to win..but you'd think they'd show those 2. The title race and the last 2 potential to drop at least.

Davros · 22/05/2022 15:51

I've got Sky Sports and BT but it's not on there either. Or even Radio 5 in all it's configurations!

Davros · 22/05/2022 15:52

I think there's something on Radio 5 live

Oblomov22 · 22/05/2022 16:02

Off we go!
Love it.
We are also trying to watch spurs on a link.

Oblomov22 · 22/05/2022 16:04

Nope. Spurs link not woking,

AndNobbyDancing · 22/05/2022 16:13

I've been trying to get a link to work, ridiculous. We have the Liverpool game and BBC Two as they are showing the non televised goals.

Is the Villa lad OK?

Oblomov22 · 22/05/2022 16:45

We now have 3 Spurs links, in varying degrees of on time, 1 minute behind etc. Its good enough!

Oblomov22 · 22/05/2022 16:46

1/2 time.

AndNobbyDancing · 22/05/2022 16:50

That second Spurs goal, definitely a gift.

So half time would be Burnley relegated, Spurs fourth, Man City Win on goal difference, West Ham Europa.

AndNobbyDancing · 22/05/2022 17:22

Lucky Everton don't need to win!

Burnley are going down failing a miracle.

Come on Liverpool.

Oblomov22 · 22/05/2022 17:35

Spurs 5.
Son 2 = Golden Boot.
I'm so very very pleased for him.
