Well that was some match! Well played boys and wow Pickford ⛔

The scenes outside and inside Goodison were pure madness, a dog being carried around and Richy throwing a flare back in the crowd Grin

Yeahhh not sure that was the best idea. Apparently being looked into now.

Know Drogba threw a coin back after fans threw it at him. Got some amount of time banned

I see the celebration police were out again after Arsenal's win against West Ham.

Do any other teams get this?

Chris Sutton commented after the Arsenal game yesterday saying they were "celebrating like they'd won the league". A Wolves player and Gabby Abonglahor have also made similar comments in the past. TBF the latter 2 were probably jealous!

As for do other clubs get dug out for this... I don't believe they do, although I remember when Jose was at Spurs and he celebrated getting into the Europa League, he was criticised for his wild celebrations by Garth Crooks 😁

WhiteHartLane · 02/05/2022 17:29

Also good win for your boys yesterday Toffee - Pickford was immense and Everton also could have scored more. Leeds look very shaky atm.

AndNobbyDancing · 02/05/2022 18:52

Pickford was amazing, I enjoyed the highlights. Anyone know about the financial irregularities that are being mentioned online regards Everton, I had a quick look but still none the wiser.

Regards Spurs and Arsenal it is a shame that these clubs see fourth as winning the league and that the chance of them actually being league winners in the near future seems so unlikely.

DuncinToffee · 02/05/2022 19:56

Thanks WHL, I bllock out that kind of comments as they are just ridiculous. I remember Liverpool getting a lot of stick for celebrating a draw, I can't imagine that would happen now Grin
I am sure pundits do it to get a reaction, clicks etc.

No idea about the financial irregularities Nobby, haven't seen it mentioned on the forums either.
Maybe something to do with Usmanov?

Such an exciting end to the season in all divisions and European competitions too! Congratulations to Fulham and Bournemouth and good luck to Forest for the play-offs - I’d like to see them back in the top flight. Good luck to the Hammers, Gers and Foxes tonight. Looking forward to Liverpool getting revenge for 2018 in Paris!

Oblomov22 · 05/05/2022 13:12

Exciting game. End-to-end. I went to bed at full time. Dh and Ds2 stayed up to see extra time.

Nice to see an interesting game, compared to some of the Spurs dross (mind-numbingly-awful-bore-you-titless) shit I've sat through this season.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 07/05/2022 09:41

I love how dramatic the media made the Chelsea take over out to be. That we were close to going out of bussiness even though the offers were in. And how Roman wanted money back which was then quickly corrected.

All done...whoever this bloke is. Hopefully not a disaster.

Oblomov22 · 07/05/2022 22:51

Spurs drew with Liverpool. Was gutted at their goal. Not that the draw does either of us any favours. Was proud of how we played. At least we turned up.

AndNobbyDancing · 07/05/2022 23:18

Agree, whilst as a neutral I'd have preferred a win either way.

The Northampton and Bristol automatic promotion fight was exceptional

WhiteHartLane · 08/05/2022 08:24

I'd have taken a draw all day long before kick off. Thought a draw was fair, Liverpool kept coming but Spurs were very organised in defence, best I've seen Emerson Royal play too.

I was so disappointed for Northampton, I can't be happy for any team managed by Barton. Scunthorpe were an embarrassment and I was gutted for their young players.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 08/05/2022 13:57

The pitch invasion before the end seemed a bit silly..easily could've backfired with time added on. Mad game

Hurrah Chelsea woman won the league

WhiteHartLane · 08/05/2022 15:47

The whole thing seems suspicious - very young, inexperienced Scunny team (17 year old goalie, 18 year old captain), Bristol Rovers managed to score just the right amount of goals needed to overtake Northampton, the pitch invasion which meant the match was halted until after the Northampton game had ended so BR knew whether more goals were needed or whether they could stick at 7.

Cannot understand Scunthorpe's thinking - surely try and end your 72 years in the EFL with at least a half decent performance for your fans? Sad day for them and those young players who stood no chance, and then for their Manager to come out after and call them hopeless?! I hear there will be an investigation so hopefully we will find out more in due course.

WhiteHartLane · 08/05/2022 15:50

Well done to Chelsea Women - great achievement. I do like Emma Hayes.

And the fans ran on after 7-0 so time they cleared the other game was done.. not that needs investigating but the other bits a bit hmmm..

Ohhh Everton won..

DuncinToffee · 08/05/2022 18:39

Yes, we won an away game Grin Great goal from Mykolenko and the Evertonians were absolutely fantastic 💙

It looks like we have a clear front runner for this season's Worst Referee in the Premiership competition...

DuncinToffee · 13/05/2022 15:11

Tierney? If so I share you pain.

OP posts:
LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 14/05/2022 16:30

Never a penalty in that game but the two yellows silly to get booked once and then carry on without being a bit more cautious.

Didn't think Leeds would end in trouble. Amazing how quick it can all change at the bottom..the woman who hid the ball was stupid. Why would you try and hide it when you need goals?! No wonder the Leeds player was far from amused.

WhiteHartLane · 15/05/2022 16:19

Today's game was horrid to watch, but another 3 points and up to 4th for now. Good point for Leeds, would prefer them to stay up over Burnley.
