If you ignored an ingrown hair for years, would it look like this?

If you can zoom in, nestled discretely amongst the freckles, you'll see what I think is an ingrown hair. There's a hole, but the bump within the hole is completely healed over by skin. It's kinda greyish, and looks beyond the sterilised needle and poke it treatment. Been there for years, having previously been poked, squeezed, hot flanneled and mag sulphed. It doesn't hurt and is kind of camouflaged but I'm curious to know what's lurking beneath. Any suggestions?

My exH used to produce pearls out of his head. A lump would swell up, and he'd let me dig about, and a hard solid pearl would pop out, he was like an oyster but cheaper and slightly less snotlike.

It's the only thing I miss about him.

@BellaBobbins are you Scottish? Im from NI but had a couple of Scottish colleagues when I worked in a posh part of England. I don't think I ever wrote pluke or plook before.
I leave mine alone since the infection. I had to have Epsom salt baths and magnesium sulphate poultices as well as antibiotics.
Im delighted I can use its official title.

Kind of...My parents are both Scottish, but I was born in England.

The videos online, WOW! That's a rabbit hole to revisit.
Removal seems a bit more than your average MNetter's ability though.
It's totally healed over and about the size of an uncooked lentil.
I've one of those blackhead remover things kicking around somewhere. Maybe DP would have a dig at it as I think I'd be too gentle.

You underestimate us!!! I'd have that out in 5 mins flat.
