If you ignored an ingrown hair for years, would it look like this?

If you can zoom in, nestled discretely amongst the freckles, you'll see what I think is an ingrown hair. There's a hole, but the bump within the hole is completely healed over by skin. It's kinda greyish, and looks beyond the sterilised needle and poke it treatment. Been there for years, having previously been poked, squeezed, hot flanneled and mag sulphed. It doesn't hurt and is kind of camouflaged but I'm curious to know what's lurking beneath. Any suggestions?

Please take that to your GP to have it checked out. I’m not trying to frighten you but that’s far from normal.

Edited to add I had a couple of similar areas on my back that looked like the initial photo you posted OP, I had them removed and had to have a larger area operated on to remove the rest of the cancerous cells.

The inside of the hole isn't all blood or weepy. It just looks like a huge open pore.

It's like hundreds of layers of flakes of skin. No solid centre, no hair, and thankfully, no tiny teeth.
