Anyone know what this could be??

I thought a wart and have been using bazooka for 2 weeks now, not sure if it's actually doing anything

Can you get the ring off yourself?

DugInLikeAnAlabamaTick · 04/12/2023 13:33

surprised dr did not tell you to remove ring

MarshmallowsOnToast · 04/12/2023 19:17

Yay!! The alien is gone. Well done op

Mooovingonout · 04/12/2023 21:49

The ring is off, finger not swollen at all. Think it's the lighting and angle that makes it look odd.

Im currently in hospital waiting for a ct scan (again) and possible gall bladder removal 😩

It looks like over-granulation tissue, where your body goes overboard trying to heal something. It might have been a wart to start with but you've had a bit over an over-exuberant reaction. It needs some treatment,. usually with silver nitrate, occasionally with surgical excision. Off to your GP

Oh good grief OP. Should have asked Doc to remove it the same time as Barry .
Good luck, hope you get the scan soon (I see you posted very late at night 😱)

If you'd read the thread you'd have seen that the GP has already removed it.

Get well soon 💐

TheShellBeach · 05/12/2023 11:01

This is the bugger today, still quite tender.

It's been one hell of a week, finally going home after 4 days in hospital with lots of new medication.

What is this lump?

My ring is fine by the way, just put it back on after having it off for a few days

Well that is looking "slightly " healthier. Hopefully once the scab falls off it will start to feel better.

Also wishing you a better week Flowers

TheShellBeach · 07/12/2023 18:30

I'm glad you're out of hospital, OP.

Tilllly · 08/12/2023 04:55

Looks better

Bet it takes a while to heal

I had this, OP.

Mine started under my nail as a little red dot. It worked its way up the nail and came out at the top of the finger. It kept producing, well, granules of flesh. I caught it and it started producing something like pus then bled continuously.

It was a pain in the arse to get rid of. The first try seemed ok but had failed within a week. The second one saw the doctor dig really deep which got the bugger.

I hope yours is gone for good.
