This thread is for the 100 MNers and bloggers who attended the No7 returning to work with confidence event on Monday 27th March. Thanks so much for coming along, we hope you enjoyed it! The event was all about “returning to work with confidence” and was for those parents who had either recently gone back to work after a break for children or who are planning a return.

You can view our Facebook Live Stream here

Here’s what No7 had to say about the event:

"At No7 we believe that when a woman feels in control she has the confidence to go out and do anything and so we are delighted to have the opportunity to support MNers and bloggers who are returning to work. We know that beauty for many women is about more than looking pretty which is why we’d love to give MNers the chance to hear from some inspirational women on how they faced getting back in to the workplace as well as share some top tips from our No7 advisers on quick ways to get their make up just right - especially in those early days back at work when you're juggling a million things at once and getting into a new routine."

Attendees:
Below are a few feedback questions for you to answer - if you have any more comments, please feel free to add them to your response. Do share your story using #No7Ready. If you are a blogger, we'd love to see you post a link to your blog post on this thread.

Why did you want to attend the event? What’s your current working status?
What did you learn from the event?
What did you enjoy about it?
Did it inspire you/give you confidence? If yes, in what ways?

All those who share feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will win a £300 Boots voucher. We'd also love attendees to share their thoughts on social media using #No7Ready.

Non attendees:
To be in with a chance of winning a No7 hamper (worth £150), please tell us what makes you feel confident every day. This can be literally anything at all, even if it’s a very small thing such as your morning coffee to wake you up! Everyone who does so will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win the goodies!

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draws!

What makes me feel confident is being prepared, whether its with my clothes, plans for a meeting or knowing how I am travelling to an event. It all stops me stressing out unnecessarily so I can enjoy my time

When a stranger smiles...

I feel confident because I am at ease with who I am. I have a basic skincare routine and enjoy wearing make-up, but believe it is what is inside that really makes the difference.

Has anyone read The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf?

ptak5566 · 09/04/2017 10:16

I have to have a good hair day to make me feel confident and a stroke of mascara to bring my eyes to life otherwise feel some what jaded.

Did not attend conference. Agree with previous responses that said clean hair. Also if my hair is well styled I feel much more confident. Just smiling makes me confident

Blondie1982 · 09/04/2017 11:48

Make-up

vicks276 · 09/04/2017 13:01

I didn't attend but the thing that gives me confidence is wearing matching underwear!

Cailin7 · 09/04/2017 13:21

Music playing in the morning and my lipstick on and I feel good

What make me feel good is my partner giving me a compliment and telling me I look good.
I feel good when I am wearing something that Iike which I think looks nice on and when my hair is looking nice and tidy.

Elliepurpleflower · 09/04/2017 16:09

Non attendee - Having a good night sleep and feeling comfy in the clothes I wear makes me feel confident. If I have a good night sleep I feel more confident in the school run.

The number 7 evening sounded fab :)

alison991 · 09/04/2017 17:14

I always feel confident when I add a splash of perfume

Pimmpom · 09/04/2017 19:21

Taking the time to do my make up and my nails.

chezvic · 09/04/2017 20:40

A good hair day always makes me feel confident, my clothes seem to fit better if my hair is swishing along

bc1616 · 09/04/2017 20:51

I need a bit of make up and then am ready to face the day!

babyloi · 09/04/2017 21:09

For me it's my children. I suffered with anorexia for ten years and was told I would never have children. Everyday I wake up they are my reminder of the strength I have discovered over the years since my recovery and they are all the confidence boost I need!

emmamed123 · 09/04/2017 21:14

just putting on my tinted lip balm gives me a boost when I do the school run.

ceroooss · 09/04/2017 21:49

What makes me confident is having a good skin routine and make up- if I feel good on the outside then I feel good on the inside!

keshimonster · 09/04/2017 22:13

Putting on my mascara!

jamielmdjs · 09/04/2017 22:23

Having had a good sleep makes me feel confident. Refreshed and ready to go, no bags under the eyes, feeling fine and ready to take on the world.

freedomofspeech · 09/04/2017 23:01

I didnt attend the conference unfortunately. The main thing that makes me feel confident is enough sleep. Feeling refreshed and not having interruptions through the night is great for the mindset.

lolamia91 · 10/04/2017 01:11

I always find dressing up gives me a boost of confidence as well as getting everything that needs to be done that day! x

Pixie2015 · 10/04/2017 06:48

Non attendee - the thought of working through the puzzles of work and at the end of the day seeing my beautiful children - coffee and going to toilet alone helps x

castleton · 10/04/2017 08:15

Waking up next to my lovely husband every day
