The Parade just after Aladdin was released in the 90s. I still get chills when I hear "Make way...for prince Ali" 30 years later. It was the most magical parade of any Disney visit I've been to.

We had built our kids up so much about the magic and our first stop was Magic Kingdom. My Daughter has a dairy allergy so we first went to an ice cream booth where I knew they did dairy free ice creams. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen and was glowing at the thought she could have it. Out of nowhere Peter Pan pounced on us and pretended to eat it. He spent over 10 minutes with our kids talking to them and messing around with them. It was incredible and will stay with us forever!

As a young teenager we went to Disney world as a large family group. My young cousin was only 3 at the time. We stood by the castle watching a Princess Parade/show, the Princesses ended the performance by saying "remember within each of you is the confidence and strength of a princess" and my little cousin looked to me and said "that's right" and it was such a special moment between us, and even now (20 years later!) This is still our slogan when keeping each other going through the tough times and the good times! ❤️

We chose to go to Disney World on our Honeymoon in 2018 (my second trip, but first time as an adult, and first ever time for my husband). The first park we went to was Animal Kingdom and the first ride we rode was Na'vi River Journey. I immediately felt in awe of the sights, sounds and smells of the ride. I felt emotional to be there, and knowing this was just the start of our very special holiday. The magical feeling I had experienced in childhood came back to me of being in Disney World all those years ago (nearly 20 years had passed!). I was finally back🥰

Watching my eldest daughter (4 at the time) as tinkerbell flew from the castle with sheer joy/magic in her eyes saying to us “daddy, mummy she’s really really flying!!!” For us that trip to Disney had so much more sentimental meaning and had so much magic

I went as a child in the middle 1990's. Hands down the best holiday I ever had. It was hot, but not too hot. Every day we went to WDW in the morning and at some point there would be a heavy warm rain shower to clear the air. I had never experienced warm rain before. In the hot afternoon, we would go to Typhoon Lagoon and jump the waves. There was a pool where you could swim with (tiny) sharks.

Then in the evening we would go back to WDW for more rides and dinner. I still have my entry pass with photo glued on as a souvenir. Loved the rides, particularly space mountain.

Seeing Snow White - and how she interacted with the children, she was BEAU-TI_FUL

LittleDeeAndME · 28/05/2025 14:36

My memory was the size of the burgers at WDW ! As a child they seemed huge compared to the ones we had at home !

ButterOllocks · 28/05/2025 14:45

Absolutely the Walt Disney Parade - it was the most joyful thing I have ever seen - nothing can top your first Disney parade in terms of an event filling all of your senses !

Watching "Remember...Dreams Come True" for the first time, seeing the fireworks make Mickey's head in the sky and gasping "Mickey!" along with everyone else in the park. (This was during the 50th when the show first came out and was new to everyone).

MrSpocksWife · 29/05/2025 07:52

When we went to Pixie Hollow, Tink decided to play hide and seek with my daughter and niece around all the props. Their joy and seeing Tink and the girls having a blast with the whole situation was truly magical

I have great memories of Disneyworld, but what really stuck in my mind was all the amazing Florida wildlife. I remember seeing an armadillo in the car park, a giant turtle casually wondering around, and the ground covered in tiny tiny frogs at night. So much fun!

RagnarorBjorn · 29/05/2025 08:30

I’ve been 3 times now, the first being early 2000, Typoon lagoon was excellent.

Facecream24 · 29/05/2025 08:31

Getting absolutely drowned on splash mountain with my mum in my teens. We were absolutely dripping and the rest of the family with us found it hysterical. I learnt that day that you need spare shoes on a Disney trip!

Wildflowers66 · 29/05/2025 09:09

Best memory has to be the tower of terror - we kept going round and round with queue pass!
Also the character themed breakfast!

HobNobAddict · 29/05/2025 10:10

Splash Mountain on repeat with my mom and brother. My brother and I were kids, it was our favourite ride, and it was the end of the night so we were able to walk right on over and over. We would run from the exit back to the entrance, and just had the time of our lives.

Boredmum24 · 29/05/2025 10:13

My autistic 30 year old son singing along to happily ever after.he loved the fireworks

foxredlab2 · 29/05/2025 10:14

Best memory was our final night, watching the fireworks and thinking wow this has been amazing. Something about it being the last night makes everything a bit more special

Fancyquickthinker · 29/05/2025 11:37

Disney Illuminations - the highlight of this magical experience. WOW! That's all I can say. I thought it would be good but I was blown away. My DH was in tears, I wasn't far off either, and when I looked around everyone was just in awe. So many grown men and women with tears in their eyes and rolling down their face, I've never seen anything like it, it really is magical.

Bighouseinthecountry25 · 29/05/2025 11:40

My dream always was to go to WDW, my DC were a good age so DH very reluctantly agreed to it, saying what was the point. On day on we found a Disney park in magic Kingdom and DH danced with officer hops. That was the point where he found his Disney spirit and we had an amazing holiday full of memories.

pushchairprincess · 29/05/2025 15:11

Avatar flight of passage is our fave memory - an amazing ride getting to know the various parts of the Avatar world. The kids loved it as it was super child-friendly. We loved it so much we re did it 2 times !!!!!!!!!!!

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 29/05/2025 16:59

Seeing my DMs face when we checked into disneys grand Floridian after I stopped smoking to pay for her for a significant birthday. Worth every nicotine withdrawal ❤️

Mabellucieattwell · 29/05/2025 17:28

Pluto taking DD (3) hand and skipping down the path with her in AK as he headed ‘home’ after a meet & greet! He was, and still is, her favourite character (now 18) and this was our first day in WDW Florida. Pure magic and unexpected so we didn’t get a photo 😂

Lemonade2011 · 29/05/2025 17:43

Having breakfast at animal kingdom and my little 3 year old just running to Donald Duck and giving him a massive cuddle - he’s autistic so unusual for him but he loved Donald and met him again last year @ 13 and had another cuddle, 🥰

YourSnugHazelTraybake · 29/05/2025 17:45

Our first and supposed 'once in a lifetime' trip was for my 30th birthday . I was a single parent and had to save very hard to afford to take my son, we travelled with my aunt and her son. The wonder and joy on the boys faces as they explored and discovered the magic of Disney was just joyous. On my actual birthday we went to Epcot and as we stood watching 'illuminations ' I was just overwhelmed with emotion right into my soul, the tears just flowed. Even now nearly twenty years later I can still remember how I felt at that moment, how all the sacrifice had been worth it, it still has the power to move me. I'm now in the midst of planning a trip for next year with my son and his children, my grandchildren, and the excitement and anticipation is unreal !
