Comfort all of the way - when you are up at 5 - and in bed at 11, they are long days of walking stair climbing, and if I can running, I have swapped my fitted dresses for style and elastic comfort, Love the look of the slip on sketchers - I would wear them every day !

I feel like pre-kids I looked much more put together. I accessorised more and thought more about how to style an outfit - basic things like tucked in/out, sleeves rolled up/down, a flash of lace camisole under a v-neck jumper, does this necklace work with this neckline... now it's much more a case of "grab a top and some trousers that don't totally clash and throw them on." It's very much function over form.
But I've recently started making a more concerted effort to think about accessories a little more, and in that vein I would love to add a pair of BOBS D'Vine - Spotted Bud to my wardrobe. They'd make a boring outfit much more interesting 😊

I wore more jewellery and had manicured nails - now it's shortish nails, no large earrings, I don't wear a face full of make up - but feel much more relaxed without the pressure of looking 'my best' when I set foot out of the door.
Comfy clothes, a ponytail or messy bun, and boots and trainers - they are long tiring days being a new mum and you have to take the pressure off being your old self and embrace you new body and routine.

Honestly since having kids I really feel like I have lost my style! During the newborn days, I lived in leggings and shirts and I think now I just don't know what is stylish or how to get my sense of style back!
I definitely want to dress for comfort a bit more (and be ready for getting muck/food on my clothes!) - but I still want to look somewhat stylish! I think I am maybe in need of a few classic eye pop pieces.

lillypopdaisyduke · 19/11/2024 14:30

Comfort Ist practicality 2nd - my court shoes and stiletto's are now a long faded memory - love my trainers crocs and wedge boots - that's how my style has changed the most - and my bunions are gone and my feet say thank you

I have always been more comfort over fashion, and never followed trends. I had my children quite late, and life is more important than clothing. I wear what is comfortable and quick, and easy to wash/doesn't need ironing. I am always in trainers, though they can outrun me now.

DinnaeFashYerself · 19/11/2024 18:34

Comfort now matters much more than style - I lived my life in jeans when the kids were young, now I cannot stand heels!

I like the choices Skechers offer .

problembottom · 20/11/2024 20:01

I've really struggled with style since having a baby. My body has changed and the clothes that used to look good on me don't work in the same way. I feel like I need a new style but I also feel too old to start again! It's tricky.

MaryGreenhill · 21/11/2024 10:55

When you’re running around after a little one, comfort and practicality quickly take over. Comfort is everything: Think leggings, stretchy jeans, and oversized tops you can live in.
Mess-proof clothes: Spit-ups, food stains, you name it , machine washable is essential. Quick and easy outfits: You don’t always have time to think about what to wear, so simple, go-to pieces are a lifestyle .Your body goes through a lot, and it’s normal to feel frumpy and less confident .Flowing tops, high-waisted everything, and stretchy fabrics can make all the difference.
Easy to wear ,slip on comfy shoes, nursing friendly tops, and outfits that can handle a busy lifestyle is how l managed it .

JacCharlton · 21/11/2024 11:53

My style changes when I went into maternity wear - maternity jeans and leggings were just the most supportive thing to wear - stayed on stretch jeans. jeggings and good quality leggings, trainers and comfy sportswear.
I love my Eden Lx Court by sketchers - but the slip-on sketchers are the ones I would buy next - great quality, support and comfort !

LittleDeeAndME · 21/11/2024 13:45

My style changed from skirts and dresses to jeans and anything stretchy and practical and black 😱 - I am introducing more colour with my tops and blouses- but it's comfort, particularly for my poor feet which spend a lot of time walking, pacing and climbing stairs.
I have my luxury cashmere socks for my feet too !

ButterOllocks · 21/11/2024 18:15

My style changed from girly to frumpy sadly - need to get back to dresses and court shoes - but happily live in my leggings and oversize t shirts and sweatshirts and trainers and slippers

prawncocktailcrispss · 22/11/2024 11:48

short wellies and zip up parkas from court shoes and a trench mac !

chickenpotnoodle · 22/11/2024 11:59

My style has changed slightly as I went into comfy and stretchy in my 2nd trimester - and on mat leave - I just moved onto leggings, slip in boots, trainers, sliders and crocs.
My 'work wardrobe' is just sitting there and I don't really miss the pressure of looking 'corporate' on the train ever again 😜

ketchuporbrownsauce · 22/11/2024 13:54

Like other mums my style changed from fitted to frumpy (for now) dressing in loose fitting button up blouses and leggings - I feel comfy and ready for the day ahead - doing those 10,000 steps a day !

maydaymayday1 · 22/11/2024 14:10

Stretchers have been a god send. I started wearing them when I was pregnant and haven't stopped. So easy to wear, both the trainers and the boots

OlympicOwl · 22/11/2024 22:00

I've always worked with young children, dressing for comfort and practicality, so my style didn't really change when I became a mum. The dress code at work basically states that you shouldn't see up it, down it, or through it, and that works for me in general. I tend to wear layers to stay covered, and prints to disguise the dirt.

DanBenandBud · 23/11/2024 13:15

My style has changed from 'office' wear to a casual type of clothing, elasticated clothes, sports/maternity bras, long dresses with pockets - cardigans with pockets, and pumps and trainers

MakeTeaNotWar · 23/11/2024 13:44

After having kids, I definitely prioritised comfort over style. No longer wear heels. I also wear less jewellery to prevent small hands pulling earrings and necklaces.

I'd love a pair of GO WALK 7 - Clear Path

Fancyquickthinker · 23/11/2024 18:37

My style has changed from floral and fitted to comfy button up everything and stetchy, quick to dress undress and wash and dry - court shoes to comfy slip on trainers.

Ilostmyhalo · 24/11/2024 09:29

They are long long days when you are on your feet, and never seem to get a minute so being able to dress quickly with practical non iron stretch clothing and comfy shoes - before being a mum I wore skirt suits and court shoes - but I LOVE being a mum,

lovemyflipflops · 25/11/2024 10:09

For my it is comfort and practicality, and sweat absorbent, and where laundry is quick with minimal ironing - a change from my pre-baby fitted clothing and skinny jeans and boots.
