From the idyllic Cotswolds and beautiful Lake District to the breathtaking wilderness of the Scottish Highlands and picturesque scenery of Cornwall, we all have a favourite place to visit in the UK. Be it a city break, a camping trip or an indulgent retreat by the seaside, the UK has many holiday destinations we love visiting with our loved ones.

With that in mind, Parkdean Resorts want to hear about your and your family’s favourite places to visit in the UK.

Here’s what they have to say: "We are the UK’s largest Holiday Park operator with 67 locations in some of the most stunning coastal, countryside and lakeside locations, from the impressive Scottish Highlands to the sunny South Coast.

After over three months of lockdown, we are so excited to re-open our holiday parks this summer and show just how much the UK has to over for a family staycation, allowing you to enjoy these wide open spaces and time with your family.

Choose from a huge range of caravans and lodges, including extra wide accommodation, perfect for families and packed with everything for a stress-free holiday. Dog friendly options mean you can bring the whole family too! For a touch of adventure, you’ll find a variety of pitches whether you’re camping in a tent, or pitching up a touring caravan or motorhome.

For your peace of mind, we have made commitments to protecting our holidaymakers, people and local communities for a safe stay, whilst also introducing a booking guarantee, giving you the confidence to book a much deserved holiday.“

What are your family favourite places to visit in the UK and why? How often do you go there and do you have a favourite time of the year to visit? What makes this place so special to you and your family - a memory you hold dear, or you simply love everything about it? Which UK destination is next on your go-to list or have always wanted to visit in?

Whatever your and your family’s favourite place to visit in the UK is, share on the thread below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

We have been visiting Perranporth for several years now however this year our holiday was cancelled and we couldn't find anything within our budget nearby so decided to go to North Devon instead.

It was absolutely beautiful, the beaches were as stunning as the Cornish ones however the scenery inland was much prettier, we only had a week and hope to return next year to explore more of the area.

The Northumbrian beaches are gorgeous if you’re not too keen on the heat. The walk out to Lindisfarne is very special.

We love the Lake District, I visited with family and family friends when I was a teenager and loved it, so my husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary there. We're visiting again in a few weeks with our two children!

For Parkdean Resorts our favourite is Ruda at Croyde Bay - years ago as a couple we used to stay there in our motorhome, regardless of the weather or time of year. Later with children we stayed in the lodges at Croyde Burrows and have wonderful memories of both of our two on the beach there for their first tastes of sand & sea!

Just been back from a week in both Devon and Cornwall. in Cornwall l loved Porthleven it had amazing restaurants and an incredible wildness about its harbor. In Devon, we stayed right in the city of Dartmouth a great city to move around in with many places to visit from boats in the Harbour.

Snowdonia is such an amazing place in northwest Wales. We stayed there in a rented caravan and it was so much fun exploring the natural landscape. It was such a picturesque place especially with the mountain. Smile

Our favourite place to visit is Gt. Yarmouth in Norfolk. I use to go their as a child so it holds very fond memories for me growing up. We like to go every Spring if possible - unfortunately we didn't get there this year :(

Cornwall is on our must-do list. We've never been but it looks amazing!

It has to be Gower in South Wales. The best beaches, great surfing conditions, Child friendly and best of all near family. There is so much to explore and not too far to go home if the weather turns bad

Without a doubt Northumberland and if I had to choose, Beadnell Bay! The beach is just absolutely gorgeous; sandy, clean and even better, never busy. The sand dunes allow my children to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life and experience the fun of 'surfing' down the dunes on sledges (or if your mum is cheap like me a range of random items including attempting it on. Carrier bags) We've created so many memories such as rockpooling, wave jumping, hide and seek in dunes, sand castle competitions- Beadnell Bay allows children to be children.
And the other bonus? For anyone who has never visited Northumberland and has a man in their life like ours...it's free parking almost everywhere too Grin No crowded beaches but stunning beaches, gorgeous views, beautiful countryside, there is nowhere in the UK that beats it!

Snowdonia!

We go once of twice a year as it's not far from us. I just love the mountains and scenery, give me mountains over a beach any day!

We usually book some sort of glamping thing but are considering getting our own tent.

There's loads of activities the kids enjoy like hiking, mountain biking, zip world, rafting and bounce below.
