No doubt, at some point in our lives, we’ve all been asked ‘What is your dream job?’. For many of us, the answer we gave probably isn’t the career we’ve ended up doing. The Open University would like to know which course you would study to help you achieve your dream job.

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of doing a particular job and you know there are courses that would help you to achieve it. Perhaps you’re already in the career you want but hope to move up to the next level? Or there is a course you’re really interested in taking and then you could visualise a career from there?

We’ve partnered with The Open University so that they can help MNers discover the range of courses and qualifications available. Take a look on their website here.

Here’s what The Open University has to say: "Every year, 1000’s of students from all walks of life enrol with The OU to develop new skills and boost their career prospects. With a wide range of subjects and qualifications that have no formal entry requirements, you can achieve your dream career with our flexible courses. Fit study around your life, your family, work and other commitments and get ongoing support from our expert tutors and student services team."

Simply post The OU course you would choose to study and the career of your dreams on the thread below to enter the prize draw. One lucky winner will receive a £300 voucher of their choice provided by Mumsnet (from a list).

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw.

My dream job was always in aviation but not possible because im colour blind. However I have always fancied plastering or plumbing so I would pick one of those to do a course in.

I would choose BA (Honours) Language Studies with French and German, I think strengthening my language skills would give me the edge in such a globalised economy

I don't have a dream job - I have never been ambitious when it comes to work - I work to live, not live to work.

I did enjoy a 'Studying Mammals' course with the OU though many years ago, it was linked to the David Attenborough series and was just for fun - I got 95% for my coursework which I was very proud of.

I've been a jobbing writer for longer than I care to remember, but I'd love to do an MA in creative writing and become a novelist. And live by the sea with loads of rescue dogs and Idris Elba ;)

A Creative Writing MA would be amazing if time and money were no object!

Would love to learn French and study theBA (Honours) Arts and Humanities (French) course. I have a GCSE (from many years ago) but atthe time did not really like it - now I am jealous of my kids learning it at school and I love it if they ask for help with homework. Think it would be amazing to properly learn a language

Agriculture - I love gardening and growing vegetables and I always wonder what would have happened if I had gone that route with a career rather than doing it as a hobby, as I get so much enjoyment out of it and it really gives me a good feeling of wellbeing.

Computing and IT - as I'm useless and fear technology and if I could do that it opens up the world to many dream jobs as everything needs computing and IT skills these days.
