My resolution has been 2 fold...
To devote myself to making memories with our children and grandchildren. I'm planning on printing out some of the photos that have simply stayed on the hard drive and going back to creating albums as we did in the not so distant past.
I'm also planning on doing some more publicity for the support group we've set up for people in our more isolated rural community. I've already printed and put up some posters, but more needed...

tararabumdeay · 12/01/2019 01:07

I have always, from the very start of the computers and the internet, taken on board the HP (Hewltt Packard) and I have chosen every computer since the HP. Everything.. Printers, ink, laptops, desktops, netbooks.

OK, there's so many reasons to get it on with other hardware. To me HP is the one.

Elliejojo · 12/01/2019 10:54

Mine is to make a conscious effort to be more environmentally friendly.
Walk when possible, recycle more and buy local produce a bit more :)

justbrowsing · 12/01/2019 15:21

We are on a strict saving regime. Printing our monthly plan and a saving chart really gives us a visual boost to keep on track. Signing up to hp means we never run out of ink so no excuses!

Angelinthenight · 12/01/2019 19:47

Bookreader2403 · 12/01/2019 20:20

My goal is to make my daughter happy again after a couple of unhappy years at primary school. In December we decided to home-school instead. I am going to need a LOT of ink and paper for printing off school related worksheets.

MrsFL · 12/01/2019 21:22

As a family we have agreed to aim for a takeaway free year in 2019, not a hardship for me but DH & the kids are already pining Grin

I am also going to try & only buy new clothes if they are from a charity shop, I’ve already got two m&s jumpers for £3 each Smile

PickleFish · 12/01/2019 22:50

mine is to eat more healthily, and I will help myself to do this by printing out a good selection of lower carb recipes, to have on hand while I'm cooking instead of popping back and forth to the computer all the time

My goal for this year is to complete uni, I started psychology and was in year two when my depression and anxiety kicked in, it was very sever so I had to drop out of uni, ill be carrying this on with the open university doing psychology and counselling, with the hope of becoming a qualified counsellor, after everything I've been through I feel I've finally found the dream job I want

KittyKat88 · 12/01/2019 23:52

2 main goals - save for a proper family holiday (my DDs, 6 & 8, have never been abroad) which will hopefully be in Spain or Portugal. My other main resolution is to continue to find alternatives to plastics to reduce my family's use of single-use plastics because the images of plastics in the ocean and around the world (thank you for highlighting this Sir David Attenborough!) is something that has stayed with me from last year Sad

compy99 · 13/01/2019 07:25

Mine is to make sure I have 20 mins a day to concentrate on me, these precious 20 mins can only be used for something that I will enjoy, reading, power nap, coffee, listen to music etc, just something to de-stress and aid my mindfulness.

hmariez · 13/01/2019 07:28

Lose my post pregnancy belly - (1.5years post 🤨) by exercising more, and making healthier food choices.

hdh747 · 13/01/2019 07:35

To lose weight - more walking, healthier eating
To improve my photography - practice at least a little every free day.

Dizzyc73 · 13/01/2019 07:39

My goal is to use my time more effectively, and to lose weight by eating healthily and doing regular exercise. As a full-time worker with 5 children it's so hard to find time for myself, but at the age of 45 I owe it to myself to take care of me - everyone relies on me so I need to be fit and healthy. I will be cooking meals from scratch, using lots more vegetables and healthy options for the whole family and I have dragged the treadmill out of the garage and set it up in the spare room. So even if the weather is bad there's no excuse. Half an hour a day, whenever I can squeeze it in is what I plan to do.

tompob · 13/01/2019 07:47

two things this year, be a bit harder on the boys 11, with their homework and general behaviour, not easy but so far so good and to reward them less, give more praise and encouragement

RACHELSMITH45 · 13/01/2019 07:53

My goal will be to enjoy every day..not to put off things I want to do as life can certainly be short. I'd like to change my job role and hope to make this happen this year!

Pastychef · 13/01/2019 07:54

Keeping it simple this year - make real bread twice a week, enjoy one cup of real coffee every day and to take more photographs to help build memories for the kids.

Yaracuy · 13/01/2019 07:54

My goal is to change flat. I will have to enroll on the different websites for flat exchange. I want a like for like exchange. I have a patio and would like the same or a little garden. Very important part is no steps as I have developed generalized pain in my body due to a very bad accident I had .

Spices001 · 13/01/2019 08:00

I’m going to be a Macmillan buddy, giving time once a week to a family who need support. I’ve passed the process, just waiting to be matched

ThemisA · 13/01/2019 08:02

Middle age has slowed my metabolism and yet my appetite remains the same. I refuse to diet because I wouldn't be able to keep it up log term so I am being conscious of my portion size and only allowing myself a square of dark chocolate once or twice a week. There is no point in promising myself more than this because I would never keep it up and the dark. long and cold days is not the best time to go all out on weight loss.

Spencer1234 · 13/01/2019 08:05

I am going to lose weight, but do it sensibly. No diet, just smarter choices when eating

SSCRASE123 · 13/01/2019 08:10

To lose 2st before our big Easter family holiday. Will cut out the booze much more exercise and eating fresh as much as I can whilst away during the week.

cag2712 · 13/01/2019 08:14

Like so many other weight is a big one, I have put on almost a stone in the last year so that has got to go both for health and save on having a new wardrobe, so save money on junk food and clothes.
I also need to keep on top of my paperwork at home tend to leave it for too many months and then like yesterday spend the whole afternoon on spreadsheets and filing when it could have been done every few weeks without real impact on family time.

MamaNewtNewt · 13/01/2019 08:20

My goal is to be more healthy. I’m not dieting I’m making lifestyle changes which I want to continue for good.

Clairecricket1 · 13/01/2019 08:24

Mine is to lose 2 stone in weight by downloading a fitness app with my own chosen trainer which is Michael Johnston the runner, which i started on the 1st of Jan, so a few weeks into it now xx
