I was a massive x files fan as a teenager and when we stayed in a villa in Florida I'd bought myself this framed picture and some trading cards, I left them all in the wardrobe and I was devestated!

My husband left behind his cycling shorts once in a nice posh hotel. They had also been on a sweaty ride so they were nasty. Hotel couriered them back to him in a sealed bag!!!

I once found a set of false teeth!

My dimmest moment was when I left behind my medicine bag and a spare handbag in a caravan we rented in Cornwall. Never got them back either - they claimed they weren't there...

Two, ahem, chicken fillets (not the food kind!! ) were found in the wardrobe when we checked into a b&b in rome!

My Husband and I found a tortoise in the bath at a very posh hotel, what was strange is the cleaner insisted she had cleaned and the tortoise must have been in my handbag!
I also found a beautiful bigish fossil in a caravan once, maybe not so strange apart form the fact it was in the fridge.
I left my ring on the sink once but got that back thankfully

Honestly, an entire cooked pigs head, on a plate, in the fridge.
I was a last minute booking in a very strange property near Narbonne and while showing me around, the very eccentric owner opened the fridge as evidence of the cleanliness (hah) and there he was.
Apparently they had had a family party a couple of days before & used the gite as additional storage. Must have forgotten to serve the piece de resistance

We found a dildo in the wardrobe ☹️

My job is to look after holiday lets so I’ve found many odd things left behind in the houses I look after over the years!
There’s the usual pair of glasses, underwear, fake tan ( left behind on all the sheets )
But the weirdest are these:
A single cucumber in the washing machine

I once left half a dozen bags of frozen breast milk in the freezer of a holiday cottage in North Wales. I was gutted to think they'd be thrown away.

The only thing that I can remember leaving behind was a bag of swim nappies and some bright pink cheerleader pom-poms that ds won at the kids disco the night before. He has his hair long and they thought he was a little girl!

The worst thing we've left behind was a pair of teaspoons with our twins' names engraved on them. They weren't terribly expensive, but they had used them since they were tiny babies and didn't like to use any other spoons (they were very fussy eaters).

I phoned the company, but we never got them back :(

Stayed at Butlins in Bognor. Booked for four nights left morning after the third. Realised on the way home that I had left new, v expensive ceramic hair tongs and bottle of prosecco under the sink. Told they were gone, even though we had booked accommodation for the fourth night so the apartment would not have yet been let. Thanks, Butlins. Never returned again.

We once found a gun under the bed. Fortunately, it was just a kids BB pellet gun but it looked real to begin with. We argued over who would pick it up incase we got our "prints" on it :D.

I genuinely found 2 human teeth on the windowsill in Pontins, Southport!

Never found anything , but we have left loads of things by accident. Got all items back from property owners though which is nice, inc expensive watch.

Hmm...nothing TOO odd, although we've found the usual shoes and books in a few apartments and villas! I've also managed to leave behind my favourite dress which was a shame - called to try and get it back but it had already been thrown away!
