The time has come round yet again for the Insight team at MNHQ to host our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year! Xmas Smile

After 10 years at Mumsnet, I am logging off and leaving at the end of the year - will def be on the ‘other side’ and keeping an eye on the team. It’s been amazing at MNHQ - seeing the site grow and develop and to work with a great team but time for a change for me personally.

Read on for the chance to win...

~ A Thule Urban Glide running buggy worth £435 Grin or
~ A ‘Christmas All Wrapped Up’ mixed case of wine from Virgin Wines - worth £116.87 or
~ The Marie Claire Skincare Edit from Fabled worth £79 (containing £120 worth of products - ELEMIS Pro Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30, Erborian CC Crème, Dr. Hauschka Lip Balm and Caudalie Beauty Elixir) or
~ A Sanctuary Spa hamper worth £50 or
NEW ~ A year of Soreen worth £70 (52 x £1.35 vouchers for your choice of their squidgy loaves) or
NEW ~ An "Advance Daysack" – worth £75 - from Ski Weekend - they say "a stylish and technical daypack with several compartments and branded with Ski Weekend and Advance Logos. A must have for anyone in need of transporting your kit for an active lifestyle!" Find out more about Ski Weekend (Ski Operators for 30 years, they offer a personal service tailoring Ski breaks in and around Chamonix, Mont Blanc - with a chalet which is ideal for large family and friends groups and is great for kids) here

In 2017, we have given away over £53,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers in exchange for sharing feedback, completing a short survey or for simply sharing a tip on a thread Smile.

This year we have all been thrilled to see the Mumsnet Rated badge really gaining momentum - have you seen it on products like Birds Eye frozen chicken, Arla Big Milk, Hedrin Once etc? We have also loved getting your houses sparkly with Buster, and Dettol, having some fun with Count Olaf and Netflix and scoffing trying Soreen mini loaves (they sent soooo much to MNHQ).

For a chance to win one of the above prizes, please do one of the below

a) Share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about OR
b) Tell us on this thread what you’d like to product test next year OR
c) Join the panel - where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with MNHQ on a variety of topics and with the companies we work with and chances to win vouchers OR
d) Follow us or retweet one of our tweets over on twitter page @MumsnetInsight

  • NB if you do c or d post on this thread to let us know you’ve done it to be entered into the draws!

Most of the product tests, surveys etc are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! Xmas Grin

I loved testing the Sanctuary spa moisturiser. I was quite sceptical initially but love it now.
I’d love to be involved in testing of a personal shopper service. I looked into it recently but couldn’t find any that had consistent good reviews for 40-somethings.

Time4adrink · 20/12/2017 17:28

Oh and would love to test vacuum cleaners as I’ve never had one live up to its promise

Bez33 · 20/12/2017 17:52

I’m on the panel, and have followed and re-tweeted - included proof below Smile

Had a great time reading and contributing to messages on mumsnet. Would love to test some really good face and body treatments, also any gadgets that can make life easier in the home. I have also loved the book giveaways, I love reading and am happy to read and review new book releases, so hopefully more of these please. Your competitions are great, and though I have yet to win one I like entering them for a chance. Hope everyone at mumsnet HQ has a really great Christmas, and here's to another great year with the site.

CottonEyeJosephine · 20/12/2017 19:53

I’d love to test out some kitchen gadgets. Some of the products tests (I’ve not been selected) have really opened my eyes to products that I didn’t know existed!

foxessocks · 20/12/2017 21:11

I loved the Bunnings day out and vouchers - had a great time being part of this thank you!

Sad news AnnMumsnet Sad

We enjoyed testing the GoGo Squeez's fruit and yoghurt pouches, and I followed the thread about the air purifier because I had considered getting one but wasn't sure which one

We would love to try a soup maker as everyone seems to have one all of a sudden and raves over them, and we eat a lot of soup so it could save me considerable time each week

Sleepysausage · 20/12/2017 22:52

I'd love to try the Dyson hairdryer

73kittycat73 · 20/12/2017 23:26

I tried the Soreen bars after seeing them on here. Very nice and have some in the cupboard right now! Xmas Grin

I have registered! Up for testing anything, especially toys, food / household items and a running buggy!!

TheMouseDancing · 21/12/2017 13:35

I've joined the panel Xmas Smile

Crumble67 · 21/12/2017 13:38

I really enjoyed testing products for the first time this year. The Moshi Monsters my son loved and the elusive Fanta which my daughter tested immediately. I would like to see products like wireless headphones and gadgets of any shape or form and I would be very happy to try out any ovens for you :)
Merry Christmas to All at Mumsnet and good luck Ann with your new endeavours
x

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/12/2017 13:54

IVe only recently joined the panel but have already been selected to try out nappies and baby food on my 9mth

Hope to try out many new things in the coming months and years

BlueTablecloth · 21/12/2017 14:02

I love doing mumsnet product tests, and have had quite a few bits and bobs over the years. I remember you did a farrow and ball test a while back- would love to do that again.

Enigma222 · 21/12/2017 19:55

The product that I would like to test is different nappy brands and compare which ones are good.

scaredofthecity · 21/12/2017 20:39

I really enjoyed being part of the Homebase garden goals. I found green fingers I didn't know I had and ended up with a lovely relaxing and enjoyable space.

WheresTheBaileysCoffee · 21/12/2017 21:00

I love being a part of the insight panel, there's a real sense of community. I was lucky enough to be chosen to test the Sanctaury wet skin moisturiser, a new fave! Thanks for letting me be a part of the panel Grin

Petitcanard · 21/12/2017 22:34

I tested a product for the first time in 2017- Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle. I have totally changed my skincare routine and have added this to my bathroom shelf. I probably wouldn’t have tried it out unless I had the opportunity to test it so thank you Mumsnet!

missymousey · 21/12/2017 23:22

I loved all the support and advice through pregnancy and birth this year - pregnancy talk pages, baby name pages and pregnancy calendar were my top hits.

I also was lucky to get £10 voucher to try a new lamb recipe in love lamb week - I'd love to do more recipe testing in future, especially now that DS has started on solid food!

Lisasm21 · 21/12/2017 23:54

I really enjoyed testing the Lidl pull-ups and followed the tefal cook with interest (still wish I’d been picked for it). Next year I’d love some beauty products to give us mums a treat

janney3 · 22/12/2017 02:00

Next year I would like to test lawn mowers please. I have an unruly garden that is going to be tackled in 2018.

Ntinyn · 22/12/2017 06:19

Sad to hear you're leaving Ann. I'd love you test a multi cooker, or a vacuum or a tumble dryer!

nornironlady · 22/12/2017 09:35

Same here for the Dyson or GHD hairdryer. Not something I'd want to purchase at a high cost only to be disappointed! I tested Sani Hand Wipes this year - great to be involved in a Mumsnet test panel as I trust other mums opinions and experience in anything I don't know about.

GhostsToMonsoon · 22/12/2017 11:11

I enjoyed the survey on sleep as it was quite interesting to consider the things stopping me from getting a good night's sleep.

In terms of things to test in the future...maybe children's outdoor clothing?
