The time has come round yet again for the Insight team at MNHQ to host our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year! Xmas Smile

After 10 years at Mumsnet, I am logging off and leaving at the end of the year - will def be on the ‘other side’ and keeping an eye on the team. It’s been amazing at MNHQ - seeing the site grow and develop and to work with a great team but time for a change for me personally.

Read on for the chance to win...

~ A Thule Urban Glide running buggy worth £435 Grin or
~ A ‘Christmas All Wrapped Up’ mixed case of wine from Virgin Wines - worth £116.87 or
~ The Marie Claire Skincare Edit from Fabled worth £79 (containing £120 worth of products - ELEMIS Pro Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30, Erborian CC Crème, Dr. Hauschka Lip Balm and Caudalie Beauty Elixir) or
~ A Sanctuary Spa hamper worth £50 or
NEW ~ A year of Soreen worth £70 (52 x £1.35 vouchers for your choice of their squidgy loaves) or
NEW ~ An "Advance Daysack" – worth £75 - from Ski Weekend - they say "a stylish and technical daypack with several compartments and branded with Ski Weekend and Advance Logos. A must have for anyone in need of transporting your kit for an active lifestyle!" Find out more about Ski Weekend (Ski Operators for 30 years, they offer a personal service tailoring Ski breaks in and around Chamonix, Mont Blanc - with a chalet which is ideal for large family and friends groups and is great for kids) here

In 2017, we have given away over £53,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers in exchange for sharing feedback, completing a short survey or for simply sharing a tip on a thread Smile.

This year we have all been thrilled to see the Mumsnet Rated badge really gaining momentum - have you seen it on products like Birds Eye frozen chicken, Arla Big Milk, Hedrin Once etc? We have also loved getting your houses sparkly with Buster, and Dettol, having some fun with Count Olaf and Netflix and scoffing trying Soreen mini loaves (they sent soooo much to MNHQ).

For a chance to win one of the above prizes, please do one of the below

a) Share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about OR
b) Tell us on this thread what you’d like to product test next year OR
c) Join the panel - where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with MNHQ on a variety of topics and with the companies we work with and chances to win vouchers OR
d) Follow us or retweet one of our tweets over on twitter page @MumsnetInsight

  • NB if you do c or d post on this thread to let us know you’ve done it to be entered into the draws!

Most of the product tests, surveys etc are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! Xmas Grin

A big ask, but I would love to test double buggies next year as I suspect (hope) we might be needing one!

Would also be keen to test any food which claims to appeal to the world's fussiest toddlers! If you're feeling generous MNHQ, I'd also love to test a spray which claims to safely guarantee that said toddler sleeps all night, plus an auto bum-wiping device would be good. And baby wipes that dont make a toddler scream when they (very gently) touch his face.

Coffeeorginplease · 22/12/2017 11:32

I’d love to test some tech gadgets for helping make life easier with a newborn/young baby as a first time mum!
Or gin....everyone loves gin Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/12/2017 14:34

Hoovers or buggy’s would be fab to test

Both much needed with a crawling baby

Mimozaaa · 22/12/2017 15:11

Hello everyone,
Early this year I became a mum for the first time , most of my family and friends live far away from me and I didn’t want to annoy them all the time about all things BABY but instead I did rely on Mumsnet. Over here I found everything from colic ,nappy rash , teething etc . Since I didn’t have any experience with babies but finding everything on Mumsnet made me feel like I have someone else by my side . This community made the newborn days glide a lot easier . I love trying products before hand and reading reviews from fellow mums rather than bloggers/vloggers because they’re getting paid for their opinion and I dont really know how genuine are they . So for everything baby related I would turn to baby forums more . I would love to try more things like puschairs , carseats , toys . Loved testing all the products that Have been sent to us .
And thank you for everything Ann and good luck on your next journey .Flowers

We tested the valspar paint which was so good that we have subsequently bought it again for decorating in our new house. I'd happily try out household goods (washing powders etc) as ut is good to have preconceptions challenged

Goldrill · 22/12/2017 22:02

I would love the chance to product test running, swimming or cycling gear. I do a lot of all of them and find buying new kit really hard as it is expensive and you tend to have to buy it online. I've been a swimmer for a long time, and know that speedo cossies still fit me best - but am new to cycling and quite bemused by what female cyclists actually wear. Particularly keen to know how you set up a saddle to cope with historic episiotomy and labour damage!

DaisyDando · 23/12/2017 00:02

I would like to test Hello Fresh or a veg box delivery service in the new year.

Babycarmen · 23/12/2017 07:31

We got to test the Moshi monsters box which my daughter absolutely loved. I would like to test some beauty products or maybe some weaning products in a few months when my baby is old enough :)

Snowdrop2016 · 23/12/2017 09:48

I’ve joined the panel Smile I’m looking forward to hopefully testing done products next year!

Stej7 · 23/12/2017 11:39

Loved testing products. We were lucky enough to test nappies, pull up pants, soreen and deodorant.....I would love to have been selected to test the mattress......mmm sleep! Hope to continue testing in 2018. Would love to test some pre- school educational technology

Buzzardbird · 23/12/2017 13:23

I enjoyed the Bird's Eye Chicken product test as it gave me some new ideas for the use of one of the only protein sources my child will eat.

Future product tests for places and experiences that I might not think to visit with my family would be exciting.

littleme96 · 23/12/2017 16:46

I have followed and re-tweeted.

StuffAndNonsenseYes · 24/12/2017 07:57

I joined the panel Grin

AliciaMayEmory · 24/12/2017 08:09

I haven't been selected to test anything this year, I don't think. Am hopeful for 2018!

I'd like to test a pressure cooker to see if I can be parted from my trusty slow cooker, or something for older primary aged children.

cheekychicken24 · 24/12/2017 11:03

Loved having the fanta can sat on the sideboard with a DO NOT DRINK sign on it all year! Only joking! Did love the lamb test - we now regularly have lamb steaks midweek, which has livened up our meals.

EasterRobin · 24/12/2017 20:33

I particularly enjoyed the Love Lamb Week recipe test. I love lamb so it was great to get out of my weeknight cooking rut with some fairly easy recipes.

ColdCottage · 24/12/2017 21:39

I found the washing machine feed/reviews helpful.

I've enjoyed taking part on different levels and being part of the conversation as a Panel member.

I'd like to see tried out/tested mattresses, vacuum cleaners, child friendly tablets, photo books, Wellington boots for adults and children, family friendly backpack that really have all the pockets you need. Family friendly holidays on all budgets, spa days that really are good value for money (not just a pool, sauna and lunch - we all need a little pamper), a stroller that works on the beach and tube as well as on an unmade road or pavement, microwaves (I had to try three before I found an ok one last month)...

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year ✨

peanutbutter310 · 25/12/2017 03:33

Loved testing the Aveeno baby moisturiser as it finally introduced us to a non-prescription product that agrees with DD's sensitive skin.

For next year, I'd love to test a next stage car seat - the choices seems much more complex than Group 0+

shoebedo434 · 25/12/2017 21:44

i have retweeted some of your lovely tweets. Merry Christmas

ohlittlepea · 26/12/2017 14:31

Its my third year as an insight panel member and I've enjoyed the variety of samples to test this year...The sanctuary in shower moisturiser was lovely to test anf I enjoyed the wholegrain challenge and Birds eye meals trial. Reading eggs was also fun! Next year I'd love to test some more beauty products and I always dream of being selected to try an appliance! I'm pregnant and so looking forward to trially pregnancy products and new baby items! Thanks for a fab year!

liane77 · 26/12/2017 15:00

I loved taking part in the lidl pull ups testing. id really like to test out pocket pushchairs (ultra compact) next year. love this site, thank you for all the opportunities. Happy New Year

cluckyhen · 26/12/2017 21:08

I really enjoyed the taste of lamb trial - it certainly opened my eyes to the different ways you can cook a quick and tasty dish with lamb

danigrace · 26/12/2017 21:58

I've very much enjoyed testing products, especially the liz earle which was a real treat whilst I was pregnant and has become a favourite
Wishing you the best of luck in your future endeavours Ann!

TracyKNixon · 27/12/2017 05:07

I would love to product test a vaccum cleaner, especially a model that can pick up glitter!

IonaAilidh11 · 27/12/2017 05:13
