The Christmas period is a great opportunity to spread joy - whether through kind actions, the giving and receiving of gifts, or just spending quality time with loved ones. In light of #Cadvent this year, Cadbury would like to hear about what you’d wish for this Christmas.

Here’s what Cadbury have to say about Cadvent: “This year, Cadbury will be spreading extra Christmas magic throughout the whole festive season by making Cadvent wishes come true in the lead up to the big day. Wishes will be granted up and down the country as Cadbury countdown to Christmas with the best advent calendar yet. Is it snow that you wish for this year, or is it the ultimate Christmas tree? Or perhaps delicious Cadbury chocolate for all your family and friends! Take a peek through the calendar doors to see the wishes granted so far.

So, whether you’d wish for a shiny new piece of technology, you have a creative idea to give back to your community or loved ones, or you’d just like to have all of your family together, share this below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

i just wish for the family to all get on and be happy! I think we all have enough 'stuff' so to be content with everything we receive and show gratitude. I'm sure if you asked the kids the same question they'd ask for new ipads or a nintendo switch though.

MonaChopsis · 02/12/2017 07:49

To live closer to family, and, obviously, to win a £300 voucher on Mumsnet Grin

DaddyfingerAnnihilation · 02/12/2017 09:54

I wish that I'll win the lottery and for lots of snow.

Mummychoochoo3 · 02/12/2017 11:01

Health & happiness with my family around me and a side of chocolate!

Jayjayharrychops · 02/12/2017 12:12

I'd love to buy my children the presents they really want for Christmas but as a single mum who is disabled & unable to work I have to be creative & shop around so my money goes further.

idleweiss · 02/12/2017 12:59

I wish that the Christmas Fair I am organizing at my DCs school, will be a fun and happy day for all the families coming and that it will bring in enough money to improve the school where needed and buy new materials & books for the children. I would also wish that everyone would be healthy, warm and have enough food this Christmas as well as having someone to share a bit of festive cheer with. x

Snow! My youngest has never seen a white Christmas, and it's all she wants this year, but unfortunately it isn't something Santa can bring. Fingers crossed...

MyChildrenHaveHorns · 02/12/2017 13:43

Health, wealth and happiness

Falconhoof1 · 02/12/2017 13:53

I'd like to win a prize draw! Also a spa weekend at Stobo castle would be a good gift.

AceyMcLaughlin · 02/12/2017 14:58

I’d give up all the gifts in the world for the rest of my life to have a Christmas Day with my son, born sleeping 6 years ago. Stillborn but still born...💙

Trenzalor · 02/12/2017 15:14

I’ve said I’ll do this myself when I’m better off but I’d like a load of Christmas puddings for the food banks so everyone can have a little bit of Christmas.

MyHeartIsInHavana · 02/12/2017 20:03

I'd wish to be able to take my daughter away to Disneyland Paris for her 13th- before she's too old to want to go
😢

bigfishlittlefishtupperwarebox · 02/12/2017 20:29

I'd wish that everyone had someone this Christmas. Be it a friend or a relative. Just that nobody was alone.

NotEnoughCushions · 02/12/2017 20:56

I would love a Christmas where all of the extended family were able to get together in a big house, preferably by the sea, and preferably fully catered. Nice food, long walks, lots of games...

We are all spread across the country and whilst we will see most people at some point it would be amazing to have everyone together in one place.

Maiyakat · 02/12/2017 21:45

Some snow for DD (so long as I don't have to drive through it!)

Alexandra87 · 02/12/2017 21:51

A lovely thoughtful surprise just for me that I didn't have to either ask for or buy and hand over to be wrapped

LittleMousewithcloggson · 02/12/2017 22:24

I would love for my car not to be broken at the moment so I don't have to worry about how to pay for it and still be able to afford Christmas for my kids!

WhatToDoNow17 · 02/12/2017 22:37

I wish that £3000 would appear in my bank account so that my 2 children and I could move out of my mothers house where the 3 of us share a bedroom. Being able to give my children their own space would mean the world to me because they've had a horrendous year and I know all they want is a home of our own and I just can't do it at the moment. This year has well and truly sucked!

Megansmumsie · 03/12/2017 00:45

There are so many varied wishes here, some genuinely beautiful and selfless and some personally special, i know some of you have said they are selfish wishes but what's wrong with that?! I'm sure you are always doing plenty for everyone around you! So don't sweat wishing for things for yourself!

My wish is probably a bit selfish, it's for my daughter but it would make me immensely happy and very proud so i would get something out of it too!

My daughter is a big bookworm, she's well known for reading a lot of books.. a lot, a lot of books when she was very little and she's still a huge book worm. A few years ago she wrote a book, a really beautiful and actually quite good story so i offered to start illustrating it for her as she wanted to self publish it. In the time between then and now, nearly 3 years, the arthritis in my hands has made my progress slower and i so want to do it write for her. We're always sharing extracts and imagery from the book- which has actually caused some issues this year as a well known company is using a version of it- and i'd love for a publisher to notice her hard work and want to publish it properly.

She's such a big supporter of authors and reading for pleasure that i'd love to see her face when her own book is on the shelf at our local library or her favourite bookstore.

It's not a world changing wish but it's mine.

If I could have one wish it would be to take the pain and suffering away from all my friends who have problems at the moment. Christmas is a happy time

shouldnthavesaid · 03/12/2017 08:12

I wish that my mum could win her PIP appeal. She's not been so unhappy in a long time, fridge is empty etc and I'm desperately worried about her.

BellaVida · 03/12/2017 10:02

I wish I could bring back my grandparents who we lost over the last few years and that my parents never divorced. Our family was small to begin with and now it feels so broken.

Christmas is a difficult time, but I try to make the most of it for our DC. I don't know what else would make Christmas special, apart from getting the gifts the children want. My DH and I both work, so just time together without the daily pressures and a bit of money to treat ourselves without feeling guilty.

kateandme · 03/12/2017 14:03
