DD is a huge MLP fan and DS and I have come to tolerate it Grin

-favourite character: Rainbow Dash
-favourite trailer scene: when Rainbow Dash flies at superspeed as if to make a sonic boom
-what did you think of the trailer: "I loved it. It was funny". I thought it looked like I might enjoy watching the film.
-will the children watch the film? Yes, we will all watch it together, the date is penned in on our calendar!

Giannap29 · 12/10/2017 20:47

Penelope (3): "Ponies, Ponies, PONIES". Think she's excited Grin

Cintacmrs · 12/10/2017 20:58

Watched with DD her response "i love it i love all of them i love everyone, i love you mummy" brief pause "can we take Mabel with us?" briefer pause "can i have a lolly". #i love applejack

GhostsToMonsoon · 13/10/2017 12:35

DD wants to go and see this. Her favourite is Twilight Sparkle. I thought she had lost interest in My Little Ponies a bit but this might rekindle it. I can't say I'm looking forward to the film, whereas I actually enjoy some kids' films.

MoreProseccoNow · 13/10/2017 13:06

My little girl (4) is a big fan - she likes Twilight Sparkle best. Her favourite scene in the trailer was when Pinkie Pie threw the cake.

We’ll definitely be seeing the movie over half term.

crwox · 13/10/2017 20:14

My little girl, 7, is also a massive fan, she has watched the trailer over and over since it's been released.
Her favourite character is rainbow dash, but it changes all the time.

We are actually going to watch the film tomorrow - she cannot wait!!

ScaryMary81 · 13/10/2017 21:06

I'll be going with my sister & 4 year old niece, as we loved playing with MLP as children, & my 9 year old son would never watch it in a million years!

I loved the "clean up operation" at the end of the trailer and focus on friendship throughout.

Sid98 · 13/10/2017 23:42

My daughter has never watched my little pony
A lot happening
I dont think we will see it

fivekidsonemum · 14/10/2017 05:00

My 4yr old daughter has not shut up about this film since she watched the trailer yesterday
She obviously thinks the trailer is funny & amazing because she was bouncing up an down & watched it 5 times, two of her favourite things are MLP and mermaids, she is always pretending to be a mermaid wrapping her legs in her blanket so that was her favourite part of the film trailer & to be honest I would like to watch the film myself as it looks like a film with adventure, magic and great animation. Definitely a film for our mummy and daughter days out, can't wait. Grin

BananaDaiquiri · 14/10/2017 09:06

Are your children My Little Pony fans? If so, who’s their favourite character and what’s their favourite scene from the trailer?
They are both massive MLP fans! and have watched the Equestria Girls movies. DD4's favourite character is Princess Celestia (is she in the movie?), DD7's favourite character is Pinkie Pie. BananaDaiquiri's favourite character is Pinkie Pie too. Their favourite bits from the trailer were when Spike turned into a pufferfish and the ponies got their tails in the water. DD4 says "it was at the end when they dropped the cake on Twilight Sparkle" and the music.

What did you think of the trailer?
Very funny and exciting!

Do you think your children will see the movie?
Definitely, a trip for half term.

JPTB · 14/10/2017 11:15

Not sure about the kids, but I want to see it! :)

~ Are your children My Little Pony fans? If so, who’s their favourite character and what’s their favourite scene from the trailer?
DD too little really, though she does have a couple of plush MLPs that her brother chose for her despite at the time not being really familiar with MLP. He chose Rainbow Dash and Rarity for her and she loves playing with them.
~ What did you think of the trailer? I love how colourful MLP is - love rainbows and the retro vibe.
~ Do you think your children will see the movie?
Probably not at the cinema - neither are big fans of sitting through a film this length in one sitting. I am sure they would enjoy it once it gets to Netflix and they can watch it in chunks.

Cupcakeicecream · 14/10/2017 13:27

Ive watched this on repeat numerous time my dd was tranfixed has every my little pony toy imaginable. Thought the movie was lovely cant wait to go see it. The enemies taking over look abit like Game of thrones white walkers in cartoon form maybe thats where the inspiration came from. Colliding a world of zombie apocalypse with the magic harmony or unicorns and rainbows to fight back and save the day.

merliquin · 14/10/2017 14:22

~ Are your children My Little Pony fans? If so, who’s their favourite character and what’s their favourite scene from the trailer?

Yes! DD is really into mlp right now DS2 also enjoys the show and playing ponies with his sister. DD's fave is Twilight Sparkle, DS2 likes Rainbow Dash. DD liked the seapony part of the trailer best.

~ What did you think of the trailer?

Fine, quite funny...not blown away by it but I remember watching the first mlp movie as a child and for that reason am excited to take my daughter to see this film.

~ Do you think your children will see the movie?

Yes - I am planning to take DD as a reward over half term.

octopusrus · 14/10/2017 15:36

DD (4) loves Rainbow Dash best because she loves rainbows.

Her favourite bit of the trailer was when Spike blew up like a puffa fish.

I liked it, it wasn't too long and didn't give away the entire story which is what usually annoys me about trailers!

Yes we'll definitely go and see this over half term! May need to find something else for DS to watch, haha.

Summergarden · 14/10/2017 20:29

My DD is quite a tomboy and usually not interested in 'girly' things. She did like the look of the clip, though, especially liked the catchy music.

She didn't mention a favourite pony but knowing her would choose the clue one!

She said that she would like to see the whole film.

lovemyflipflops · 15/10/2017 09:43

My DC loved this trailer, his head nodded away to the music. He plays with and watches My little Pony as my niece (6) is a massive fan, and often gets engrossed with when he plays with is cousin whist playing with the figures and watching the series, his favourite is Tempest Shadow, and I love the voices he puts on when he is playing with the characters. We are looking forward to a family day out watching this movie.

gallicgirl · 15/10/2017 19:28

DD is 6 and loves MLP.

Her favourite character is Pinkie Pie. Her favourite scene is the one where the ponies' tails turn into mermaid tails and when Spike turns into a puffa fish. Apparently that's "really funny".She loved the trailer and thought it was quite funny actually.

Will we see it? Well, now she knows about it, I bet it will be on her wish list. Do I want to pay over £20 to see it? Not really.

daniel1996 · 16/10/2017 10:11

I asked my son to watch this trailer with me, he said, uuggh no ! My little pony is just for girls.......however he laughed at the puffa fish, loved the sword fighting scenes, the magic being performed, was engrossed at the fast and furious scenes, the baddies, we laughed again at the big pink wedding cake, with the pony emerging from it. So, do you think my little pony is just for girls then, ? No mummy, can we see the film ? Yes I said. Cannot wait to see it now.

weasel6 · 16/10/2017 21:49

My daughter loves Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle, her favourite bit of the trailer was the cake landing on 'Twiley', which was apparently hilarious. As always I found it a bit difficult to follow as some of the voices are soooooooooo high they are only audible to dogs and the very young but seeing the new film with a couple of friends is my daughter's birthday treat so I'm sure I'll get the hang of what's going on when I see it in full. She's really looking forward to it, even more now she's seen the trailer.

rhinosuze · 17/10/2017 07:51

We will definitely go see the film and my daughter loved the trailer, she clapped it! Rainbow dash is her favourite pony, the toys are all over our house.

Must say I preferred them when I was young though

Mozarmstrong · 17/10/2017 16:08

Oh My Little Pony Pinkie Pie is lush!! How can you not love her my family has always adored these ponies so yes please to the new film

mooota1514 · 18/10/2017 16:45

My DS (five) likes the TV series and his favourite character is Spike. He liked the bit with the cake best from the trailer. The trailer is fun and I plan to take him to the film - he's very keen to see it.

andywedge · 18/10/2017 16:51

My daughter can't wait to see this; we are off to watch it on Sunday #MyLittlePonyMovie

meepmoop79 · 18/10/2017 16:58

I think its something that will appeal, but i'm personally not looking forward to watching it in the cinema.

footdust · 18/10/2017 17:02

my daughter loves the trailer, especially the music. She loves MLP and she can't wait to see the film. She adores Pinkie Pie and even I thought the trailer looked like a lot of fun.
