Dettol has launched a quiz on Mumsnet in partnership with their new ‘Protect like a Mother’ campaign. Have a go and let us know what you think of your result!

Here’s what Dettol has to say: “We know that a mother’s protection of her child is unconditional and just like an animal in the wild, she will do whatever it takes to create a safe environment for her family. We provide mums with that same unconditional protection for the whole family throughout the home.”

Any nature documentary will tell you that mothers in the wild are not to be crossed when it comes to their young. However, they all have their own individual styles of protection. Take the quiz and find out what type of animal mum you’re most like! Do you protect your child like an Elephant? Or are you more like a monkey? Or even a lion?! Have a go and come back here and let us know what you are. Do you agree with the result? Whatever kind of parent you turn out to be in the wild, we would love to hear what your thoughts are.

Everyone who posts on this thread, after taking the quiz will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

I got a Lion which isn't what I thought I would get though the description does sound a lot like me.

sleepyhead · 26/09/2017 12:31

I'm a bear apparently.

iut044 · 26/09/2017 12:38

I am a eagle.

Kraggle · 26/09/2017 12:41

I got 🐘!

villagefox · 26/09/2017 12:49

I came out with the Eagle. I would have been nice to see all the animals/options at the end of the test.

I would say that I am prepared - I have tissues, plasters and hand gel in my handbag!

RaininSummer · 26/09/2017 12:59

Apparently I am an elephant.

star1000 · 26/09/2017 13:05

I got an Eagle!! I guess I do look out for my children and hopefully that's a good thing!

Ontheceiling · 26/09/2017 13:13

Bear here too. Spot on👍

BrioLover · 26/09/2017 13:16

I'm a bear! Certainly sounded like me Grin

ArnoldJRimmer · 26/09/2017 13:22

Another bear here. Some of the answers didn't really apply so had to pick the closest option. Surprised at the accuracy of the description 🐻

gd2011 · 26/09/2017 13:26

Bear.

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuckKeidis · 26/09/2017 13:32

I'm an eagle. I can stop calling myself Mummy Lioness now! 😂

ShatteredGlass · 26/09/2017 13:34

Yet another bear

Belmo · 26/09/2017 13:48

I got bear!

SandysMam · 26/09/2017 13:49

I got monkey. I am so NOT a fun mum lol, maybe I chose the answers I wanted to be rather than what I actually am! Will try harder to be fun after that!

InvisibleKittenAttack · 26/09/2017 13:51

Bear. Not sure if I should be offended or not... Grin

theresamustgo · 26/09/2017 13:54

A bear....maybe. I certainly look like one in winter with my faux fur coat.

meepmoop79 · 26/09/2017 14:17

I'm an Elephant. Which is not so bad

raspberryblush23 · 26/09/2017 14:30

mamof3boys · 26/09/2017 14:58

I'm a Bear. Not sure how accurate it is...

HermanCakeDestroyer · 26/09/2017 14:59

I'm an elephant mother! I'm quite chuffed actually because despite the size they are kind, intelligent animals and I feel honoured to be considered one of them!!

chezvic · 26/09/2017 15:10

I'm an eagle, I'm definitely well prepared so quite good!

BeeMyBaby · 26/09/2017 15:30

Elephant - was there only 3 options?

helly27 · 26/09/2017 15:30

I am an elephant mum and I have to say I would agree
