We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

Chocolate twists. Mmmmmm.

Falconhoof1 · 11/09/2017 18:07

I like the bakery and the breakfast cereals. They also do great beauty products at amazing prices. And I love their pizzas-like Dr Oetker but cheaper.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 11/09/2017 18:13

Those goats cheese pizza things are amazing!

My 8 year old is still wearing the size six pull ups at night - they're like £1.60 a pack and work just as well as Dry Nights.

Glowerglass · 11/09/2017 18:22

I like the fitness stuff.

And the stuffed jalapenos. And Spinach puffs in greek week

1moreRep · 11/09/2017 18:31

my kids go crazy for their doughnuts but personally i'd kill for the peacon plait

jandoc · 11/09/2017 18:38

I recently discovered that they do a great shampoo and it smells lovely too

I love the dog food range I have 2 Golden Retrievers and buying all thier dried food, tinned food, dental sticks, meaty sticks. Saves me a fortune enough so that I have just taken out a plan with my vet that costs me £20 a month which is a small amount that I save by buying my dog supplies from you. This covers me or all the injections they need for a year and all the worming tablets and flea collars or a year, all nail cutting for a year and 10% off all vets bills. So a very happy customer thank you.

I love the coconut yoghurt and recently I've been buying a bunch of sunflowers every few weeks -they last for ages (the yoghurt doesn't...)

HurtyTeeth · 11/09/2017 19:01

A few years ago I 'splurged' and bought myself a large French style caste iron casserole pot with lid at £25. I was initially apprehensive but as time's gone on, honestly, it's proved it's worth by seeing me through many fantastic meals, it still looks brand new and shows no signs of giving up on me for a long while yet. I love it.

honeyandginger48 · 11/09/2017 19:35

I love the freshly baked breads..... can't resist them! Also love the Lidl Cremant sparkling wine.

AWholeLottaRosie · 11/09/2017 20:04

Just about all of the Christmas food, I start stalking the aisles as soon as there's an Autumnal nip in the air and buy a little each week.
The chocolate - especially the marzipan chocolate - is just divine

vaseandcandle · 11/09/2017 20:06

The nappies are great. Pity I only found them when my son was just about to start potty training.

lannister · 11/09/2017 20:06

Their icecream is to die for! I've literally stopped buying any other brand on this earth except Lidl's Gelatelli- Almond and Noblissima- bourbon vanilla

ClashCityRocker · 11/09/2017 20:09

Most of the bakery section is great- love the donuts.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 11/09/2017 20:20

We love the little snack cucumbers - perfect for lunch boxes and picnics.

The rye bread is better than any we've tasted from any of the other supermarkets.

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 11/09/2017 20:25

I love Lidl but my favourites are;

Lemon sorbet, its as good as any I've ever had.

Smoked salmon, lovely treat.

Merlot, think I might need some now...

Crisps. Cheap and fabulous. Great combination.

French Blend coffee.

ivytable · 11/09/2017 20:29

Frozen raspberries when they're £2.39 for 750g rather than 500g. And frozen blueberries when they're in stock.
Also their shower gel for 0.33£, carrot stick crisps for kids.
Toothpaste for sensitive teeth 0.59£ (used to only be able to use sensodine which was expensive).
Fruit drinks for kids currently on offer for .69£.
There's lots more
Lidl is truly magic

SandysMam · 11/09/2017 20:51

Love the Italian Chocolate Chip Biscotti - dangerous as I eat the whole bag Blush
Also love the olives stuffed with almonds...or a garlic clove, is not quite sure but either way bloody lush!

HopefulHamster · 11/09/2017 21:07

Lidl gin!

Anything from the bakery.

sleepyMe12 · 11/09/2017 21:10

Their baby clothes!
Amazing quality for the price.
Love the organic cotton and the neutral colours.

haveacupoftea · 11/09/2017 21:19

I love their baby clothes and always try to get in first thing when there's a baby event. The organic cotton joggers are my favourite but they're all good quality and wash well. I rave to everyone about Lidl baby clothes.

FlukeSkyeRunner · 11/09/2017 21:32

Nappies - just as good as the big brands, much much cheaper.

thanksamillion · 11/09/2017 21:34

I got a huge picnic blanket earlier in the summer. It's fab and loads of people have asked me where I got it from.

prettybird · 11/09/2017 21:36

So many Lidl favourites and I'll have to go through this thread to find some more to try

  • Tomatoes on the vine
  • duck breasts (either the marinaded in garlic and black pepper or the plain ones)
  • Cava: can't beat it on price (dh had been studying to be a Master of Wine and we also run a wee wine business, but you can't fault it for value)
  • Jaffa cakes (better than the "real" Jaffa cakes Grin)
  • pain au chocolat - such good value
  • the plain dishwasher tablets and the Rinseaid (live in a soft water area so don't need salt and only need small amounts of Rinseaid so don't want 3-in-1 tablets)
  • Lidl own brand dry cat food. Good enough for our Siamese Smile
  • De Luxe Ribeye streaks

So much stuff. I'm just scratching the surface.

DuskPanda · 11/09/2017 21:47

Love their Cremant but rarely find it in stock and in all stores Sad
Fresh fantail prawns are a favourite, the stuffed jalapeños and the potato salad in creme fraiche
