We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

The lasagne - absolutely delicious!
Washing powder
Face wipes
Loads of stuff really!

The bread wraps are soooo tasty, and I love the snack sized cucumbers for the little ones, great way to get veg down them!

SloanePeterson · 09/09/2017 18:18

Their big standard bars of chocolate are perfect for baking with, I chop them up and use them in brownies, but are also damn good just to eat. I stalked Lidl almost everyday over the summer to try and get peonies before they inevitable sold out, so so much cheaper than anywhere else and lasted for ages too. Sad they're out of season now and won't be back til next year as they're my favourite flowers. Ds is obsesses with the mini vegetables they sell, the cucumbers especially are a hit.

The 10 pack Pain au chocolate's are great, individually wrapped so perfect for every day and cheap.

I also like the fruit cocktail crush, elderflower and lime drink.

The Edam slices are perfect for anyone doing SW.

The squeeze yogurts are 75p a box, 25-50p cheaper than supermarkets.

The salt and pepper crackers are lovely as are the rosemary ones.
Love the fresh bread in Lidl especially the low GI cob.

...oh and the London dry gin is pretty good Grin

bigsighall · 09/09/2017 18:25

The cheese puff crisps are the best thing on this planet... I've had the ones from Tesco, Waitrose and m&s but lidl ones win hands done Grin

We love the fresh bread and pastries.

Midweek lobster dinner with my sister - for no other reason than they were on an extremely bargainous offer once & sat in my freezer - with some equally bargainous Prosecco. Was brilliant- and also used a pair of the nutcrackers that came with last Christmas's nut selection to crack the claws. We love Lidl here - my DC particularly fond of the Stickeez too!

DH bought some amazing concentrated car windscreen wash from Lidl a few years ago.
Much to his disappointment they have never restocked it.
He still expresses his disappointment every time he has to use an inferior product

InvisibleKittenAttack · 09/09/2017 18:59

At Christmas, their lebkuchen is fabulous - although deadly, and this year I'm going to have to limit my purchasing as it's a dress size in a bag.... Grin

wobblywindows · 09/09/2017 19:21

Bottled cherries are my favourite - nowhere else stocks them.

flozza42 · 09/09/2017 19:29

My daughter loves the bakery selection cookies and husband likes the Belguim buns

rainbowvalley · 09/09/2017 20:02

Their ready meal curries are second to none! So authentic and tasty addicted to the Tikka Masala

Bostin · 09/09/2017 20:03

The London Gin.

buckley1983 · 09/09/2017 20:59

I love the stuffed mushrooms - absolutely delish wth a Lidl steak.. yummy! :) They always have a great selection of kids stuff - books, toys, games, etc so it's great for buying birthday.Christmas pressies too - I love the unpredictability of the middle aisles!

ScarlettDarling · 09/09/2017 21:01

The coconut Greek yoghurt is divine. The only problem is not eating the whole pot in one go.

moonray · 10/09/2017 09:13

My family loves Lidl continental meats, especially the Mortadella and italian Prosciutto ; I am looking forward to Lidl's next Italian special week, their Italiamo aperitivo is fantastic, and so are their sour cherries. Also love their stuffed pasta!

Ikea1234 · 10/09/2017 09:42

The ready meal fresh lasagne is to die for and I can actually pass it off as home made! Proper quantities of meat, cheese and pasta, and not a sloppy, watery mess like others I've bought in the pass.

Cailin7 · 10/09/2017 13:13

We like their fruit and vegetables and flowers and plants. They are always fresh.

sophiefx · 10/09/2017 15:45

We love the Lidl's own chocolate bars! They taste delicious and well worth the money!

pinkjjf27 · 10/09/2017 16:07

I use Lidl all the time I love that you can find things in the middle isle that are hard to find in other stores, like their natural moth blocks and branch cutter. But I mostly love their earl grey tea its the best even out of the very expensive well know brand and cost less than a pound a box .

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 10/09/2017 16:46

I love when there's lychees. So much cheaper than elsewhere.

farhanac · 10/09/2017 18:09

The halloumi cheese

cocochips · 10/09/2017 20:09

Vanilla pods

RippleEffects · 10/09/2017 20:15

Whole salami is my Lidl must have. I actully ponderd taking one on holiday this year as part of my self catering basics but DH wasn't sure as it is meat.

All the DC and us like it in sandwiches, on fresh baked oh we try but can't walk past warm Lidl mini bagettes, on salad wraps, chopped up with pasta, in omlettes, in pottato salad, in a mixed bean casserole.

Its such a convenient long life fridge basic.
