We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

I love the cheeses
I'm making my way through them

ChickenVindaloo2 · 14/09/2017 19:11

Coconut ice-cream
Icelandic Skyrr yoghurt.

WowOoo · 14/09/2017 19:16

They have Thai crackers that are so awesome I buy loads at a time. I wish they were always in stock. There are a few different flavours in each pack. They really are excellent value and the best I've tasted.

boobybirdsworth · 14/09/2017 19:41

My favourite product has to be their apple and raspberry juice, it's in 1L carton and tastes divive. It's better than any other brand I've tried :)

nerysw · 14/09/2017 19:43

The Polish strawberry and raspberry syrups they had were amazing, made the best meringues with them!

hareagain · 14/09/2017 19:43

Lidl 'luxury' coleslaw is to die for. I'm famed for my judging of the stuff and it has recently beaten M&S to the top spot in my view.

Evabear13 · 14/09/2017 20:53

The olive oil is great value! Also love the hand wash soaps. I stocked up on coloured card and paper for my daughter- fantastic quality and value. They don't always have it so I buy two pads when they do!

MytToeHurtsBetty · 14/09/2017 21:02

The smoked salmon is the shizzle. Avss fab stuff at Xmas 😍😍😍

PooPooOfferson · 14/09/2017 21:31

Mmmm, lovely Greek week kalamata olives in a tin, feta in a tub and stuffed vine leaves in a tin. Greek yoghurt all year round. Tasty crackers (multi-seed or sweet chilli); mini cucumbers; gin; prosciutto. Free stickies at the moment for an added bonus. Love a bir of Lidl.

oneplus2is3 · 14/09/2017 21:46

Cornichons- I literally drive to the next town for these! We eat the jar in one sitting!!!!

shewhomustbeEbayed · 14/09/2017 22:21

Chicken korma, laundry liquid, goats cheese pastries in the bakery section, cycling clothes.
Gingerbread iced biscuits at Christmas.

Sarah250187 · 14/09/2017 22:24

I'm a cleaner and I use the Lidl own brand baby wipes to use on cleaning dirty marks off the walls, skirting boards and also little ones face!

smileyfacechocolatebutton · 14/09/2017 22:46

All the chocolate is lovely, especially the mini bars of dark (because they're small I convince myself it's fine to eat loads!) The fruit and veg is always brilliant value, the fresh bread good (and the French sticks a brilliant price), I love the loose pistachio nuts, the washing powder and hot smoked salmon fillets...I could go on and on!

churchilllounge · 15/09/2017 06:41

The Greek yoghurt. I used to buy m&s as a treat but this is way better and way cheaper.

Joeywhitter · 15/09/2017 06:46

I'm a big fan of the bread in Lidl - the bakery is really good. And also the wine is really good value and compares well to other supermarkets. I love a lot of the treats that come in pre Christmas

queenoftheschoolrun · 15/09/2017 08:21

We don't have a store near us but we were once given some of their stolen and now every year I have to ask my Dad to get us some from his local store. It is delicious and nobody else's is half as good.

flibflab · 15/09/2017 08:24

I like their stuffed peppers. Just as good as the ones from the deli in Waitrose and half the price.

EscapingAdultLife · 15/09/2017 10:31

The vegetarian selection. The stilton and mushroom Wellington are delicious. The pastry is never soggy on the bottom & the stilton flavour doesn't over power the mushroom!

rupert23 · 15/09/2017 11:07

We love lidl fresh bakery and it is baked there on the premises. The bread is warm and fresh.the doughnuts and pastries are very good too.I try not to eat too many pastries as im trying to lose weight but my kids love them. The price is very cheap too.

BorisTrumpsHair · 15/09/2017 12:32

Goat cheese
Gorgonzola
Buffalo Mozzarella
all the cheese.

I like the Smoked Salmon with the dill dressing too.

Tubs of yogurt.

all the bakery.
Olive Oil
Free Range Chickens

muffymoo0 · 15/09/2017 12:59

I love the baby pull up pants, never have any leaks and cheap at £2 a pack!

cathisherwood · 15/09/2017 13:28

never know whats going to turn up in Lidl but was very pleased with a little rucksack I bought with its own rain cover - use it a lot when out walking for the day and its really comfy to wear

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 15/09/2017 15:39

We swear by Lidl nappies and the organic apple purée. However my favourite little find was a tub of dairy free ice cream! I'm ebf my lb who's 6m and has cmpa so the ice cream is a god send! And about a third of a price of the big brands in tescos etc

Dormouse1940 · 15/09/2017 15:43

Look out for Lidl's wooden toys- they are FAB!
My son got the wooden train set for his 1st birthday and he adores it- it's compatible with other toy brands as well, so you can expand on it as they get older. (Mummy likes building the tracks too!)
And they had 'cuttable' wooden food sets, which attach together with velcro so little ones can safely 'chop' up the fruit/veg/etc for pretend play.
Such lovely quality and at a really suprising price.

Oh, don't get me started on Lidl's Christmas stuff- their spiced biscuits are absolutely lush too!

Dormouse1940 · 15/09/2017 15:45

oh, Lidl Top-Tip: as their stuff can appear seemingly at random, sign up to their email newsletter- it gives about a week's notice of what's coming up so you can look out for it in store. Really useful if, like me, you can't pop into the store every few days!
