In light of the release of The Emoji Movie at Cinemas on August 4 (previews August 2 & 3), Sony Pictures would like to hear about the moments when your children haven’t been able to contain their emotions.

Here’s what Sony Pictures has to say: “The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.”

See the trailer for The Emoji Movie below:

The Emoji Movie is at Cinemas August 4 (previewing on August 2 & 3). Find out more about The Emoji Movie on Facebook.

So, whether your child has been a little too excited about an upcoming holiday, can’t hold back their laughter at inappropriate times or jumps up and down when they’re happy, share this below.

Thanks and good luck!

NerrSnerr · 14/07/2017 16:27

It was my husband's birthday yesterday. My 2 year old was beside herself all day with excitement to sing happy birthday and him blow his candles out. She was so happy it was lovely.

DS1, aged 7, on being told the Natural History museum was shutting soon, and we would have to leave soon, burst into tears for about 20 mins. We had to go back the next day - I still haven't taken them to the science museum Sad

When I had my first night away from my son (years ago). He was 1.5. When we were reunited he jumped into my arms so hard I fell onto my back (onto carpet). His face was so full of joy and love. Yes, I cried.

My eldest couldn't hide his feelings of disappointment when presented with his new baby sister. He asked if we could take her back to the hospital and swap her.

Aged 6, mine sobbed and sobbed that we were stealing the chickens right to have a family by not having a cockerel

mummymummums · 14/07/2017 19:42

Last day of school today this term and DS9 (who hates to be seen crying) came out sobbing. His 2nd best friend is moving abroad and he's devastated. So far definitely more devastated than when his 6th (!) best friend moved away a few weeks ago - he slept with a pic of him by the bed for a while, so am expecting serious trauma in the coming nights......

Last night, the toddler wanted to sit in the car and play with the buttons - when we made her come out she screamed the place down!

DS1 was ridiculously excited about his first ever school trip! We had a seven week countdown to it!
I got him a leaflet to show where h would be going and he took the leaflet to show his headteacher, he was so excited about it!
He loved the day but the first thing he told me about when he got back was that three people had been sick 😷 on the coach!

Cailin7 · 14/07/2017 22:36

Weeks before we go on holiday or before christmas. They can't get to sleep and count the sleeps

purplevamp · 15/07/2017 01:14

The very first time we took the kids to Disneyland we got there just in time for the parade. The princesses were going past and waving. My daughter was so excited she was waving back and saying "it's me, I'm here!!!" It was so cute Grin

My boy was watching Beethoven the movie for the first time. When he thought bethoven was going to die he burst out crying and couldn't stop. I felt so mean taking a picture but thought it would be funny to look back on when he is older Grin

Excitement often quickly moves from a positive to negatively manifested emotion with DD - she gets overwhelmed and then it all goes pear-shaped.

littlemonkeyz · 15/07/2017 17:34

My little man used to be so excited to eat chocolate pudding when he was a baby that his whole body used to shake with excitement.

mamof3boys · 15/07/2017 20:48

My boys never seem to be able to control their emotions. Excitement is a good one and is very infectious, but anger is another story. I really wish the would learn to hide that one a bit sometimes Grin

MiserableMe1 · 16/07/2017 12:47

My daughter was having her big toe nails removed when she was 10 ... and just as the guy was about to stick the needles in ... she burst out laughing so loud and hard they couldnt continue i tried to calm her but it was making it worse... in the end they managed to do it but she laughed all the way through it, the doctor said he wished all his patients was like my daughter,,, i was so embarrassed

Byrdie · 16/07/2017 16:19

Tough to choose just one time! They are all emotional rollercoasters! We've had a lot of crying and tantrums about not getting sweets recently but a little less bratty and more memorable was when school broke up - just last week. Eldest one has had the same lovely teacher for two years and saying 'goodbye' i could see tear starting to build... bundled off out of playground and as soon as we were safely in the car it was just bawling and full on body shaking sobs. Think maybe end of term exhaustion had kicked in too!

UpOnDown · 16/07/2017 17:16

Definitely Christmas, they were running around like anything!

angiehoggett · 16/07/2017 18:08

When we were going to Disney World I held off telling them until the last minute, I can't even put into words how excited they were but it was a joy to see!

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 16/07/2017 18:58

DS was ridiculously excited before his 5th birthday. Jumping on the bed for an hour at least the night before...

littleme96 · 16/07/2017 20:09

When we were on holiday our kids were holding onto their dad's hands and jumping over the waves. I have never seen them so excited! Squealing and with smiles that stretched from ear to ear - such a simple pleasure, but they were both just so, so excited by it!

Falconhoof1 · 16/07/2017 20:49

My DS leaving out holiday in Benidorm recently. He wanted to go home to his toys but also wanted to stay on holiday. He laughed then cried without a break in between!
