In light of the release of The Emoji Movie at Cinemas on August 4 (previews August 2 & 3), Sony Pictures would like to hear about the moments when your children haven’t been able to contain their emotions.

Here’s what Sony Pictures has to say: “The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.”

See the trailer for The Emoji Movie below:

The Emoji Movie is at Cinemas August 4 (previewing on August 2 & 3). Find out more about The Emoji Movie on Facebook.

So, whether your child has been a little too excited about an upcoming holiday, can’t hold back their laughter at inappropriate times or jumps up and down when they’re happy, share this below.

Thanks and good luck!

Marc had dressed up a a clown for the local after-school club's float in the local parade. Afterwards, he had to be bathed to get rid of the face paint ... and he was in floods of tears as he saw the paint vanishing down the plughole.

When I announced to my now ED that I was taking her to Walt Disney World in Florida, she was 4 years old. She was so excited she kept bursting into tears... A magical moment! :)

My daughter is like this all the time, we count down to things for example we are going camping in August and she is counting down the sleeps. She wants to talk about it all the time and tells everyone who she sees we are going. We went to Disneyland Paris in January and we didn't tell them and just said we were going somewhere boring as I just couldn't bear the badgering, lol!

Our eight year old could not contain himself when we went to see Peter Pan at the theatre. He was absolutely thrilled going and once it started he was so engrossed nearly taking part in the play. We were in the front row of the circle and he lent forward and was reacting to everything, arms out nearly bouncing on his seat. The grandmother behind was so taken with his reaction. It was surprising and wonderful to see.

The night her birthday she couldn't sleep because of the excitement. She was like a jack in the box all night long.

My daughter has always been an "actress" and was cast in the role of Nancy in Oliver Twist when she was 5. She spent the whole time when she wasn't one stage bossing everyone else around and telling them all what to do (in a very loud, school-teachery voice) and jumping up and down, pointing when anyone got anything wrong.

My daughter used to get into such a state the day before her birthday/holiday/ Christmas etc that she actually made herself ill. She'd be lying on the sofa, raging temperature, in a right old state and we'd be panicked, thinking we'd have to cancel plans for the next day. Next morning, she'd be fine. After this had happened 3 or 4 times, we realised she was just so over excited her body went into some sort of meltdown!

My son had his best friend round at weekend but he couldn't stay for long, soon as he had left my son was sobbing, lying on the floor and wailing "I want Tommy" for about 1/2 hr, with me cuddling him and he's 6!

My son can never contain his emotions!

When my second son was born in March and we had some visitors, my oldest son (5) burst into tears when DH got me a nappy for the baby as DS1 had designated himself as Chief Nappy Fetcher. I couldn't get him to stop crying for about half an hour!

DS1 recently received a pair of Stormtrooper pyjamas from his Nana. He was so excited he jumped up and down all over the house after fetching his Stormtrooper mask.

My grandson (age 4) asked "Is it June yet?" EVERY SINGLE DAY since he learned he was going to be a big brother back in December. When the answer was finally "Yes, now it's June", his response was "Yay, lets baker her a cake!" When his sister finally appeared two weeks later he was SOOOO proud I thought he would burst. He spends hours telling her how beautiful she is, and how much he loves her! The photos show him literally grinning from ear to ear!

What springs to mind first is when we went to Disneyland Paris for Christmas, and we told our son the week before. We stayed at one of the Disney hotels. Snd travelled Christmas Eve. His face was an absolute picture, and we had tears and laughter at the same time, and really was like the children in the Disney adverts!

Doobydoo · 13/07/2017 17:48

On my sons third birthday, it was his first time having a party with friends coming and he was sooooo excited. His emotions were all over the place!! Tears then tantrums then bouncing up and down. But when the party finally came he calmed down and had so much fun
