In light of the release of The Emoji Movie at Cinemas on August 4 (previews August 2 & 3), Sony Pictures would like to hear about the moments when your children haven’t been able to contain their emotions.

Here’s what Sony Pictures has to say: “The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.”

See the trailer for The Emoji Movie below:

The Emoji Movie is at Cinemas August 4 (previewing on August 2 & 3). Find out more about The Emoji Movie on Facebook.

So, whether your child has been a little too excited about an upcoming holiday, can’t hold back their laughter at inappropriate times or jumps up and down when they’re happy, share this below.

Thanks and good luck!

When we go on holiday!!! They are so excited!! The only time they get on!

AngelwingsPetlamb · 13/07/2017 21:03

When my DC had his first sleepover at our house he spent 10 minutes running round my bed, leaping up and down on it and doing forward rolls until ( thankfully) the doorbell went and his BFF arrived.

twinklenicci · 13/07/2017 21:12

we had a major melt down on my sons first day of nursery, he screamed, he cried and then he kicked the teacher !! definately didnt control his emotions

Holidays. My son always thought that the best thing about holidays was leaving in the dark in his pyjamas. Sometimes we had to leave early for no reason just to please him

Moment that sticks in my head is when my oldest DD found out she was getting a baby brother she cried, laughed, cried, laughed the whole 4 weeks before he was born, she couldn't decide whether she wanted a brother, sister or Goldfish! Luckily little brother miraculously brought a goldfish with him.

My son used to get supremely excited every time he spotted a play area in a park, he would start bouncing up and down and jiggling on his feet like a loon because he was so excited, getting him to go home was a different story!! On a negative note, I once told him that Nanny and Grandad had gone on a plane far away (which they had for a holiday), only problem is I hadn't mentioned the holiday bit and his little face fell and he burst into tears, I had to give him lots of cuddles and reassure him that they were definitely coming back.. my bad!

My daughter was so excited to be a bridesmaid at her aunties wedding, she spent all day smiling. She was so excited when the disco came on, that she ran at the dance floor forgetting her shoes had no grip. My son on the other hand was a paige boy and walked down the aisle with his other aunt. He had a flowers button hole. He was so upset that he didn't have a bouquet to hold, that he swapped his button hole with my sisters bouquet and walked down the aisle with a bouquet infront of him. Everyone found him hilarious.

dgd enjoys being with us for the day but gets very emotional when her mum collects her - often bursts into tears

jonday81 · 13/07/2017 22:05

My LO (age 3) shouted 'Oh My Goodness!' this morning when she saw Cocoa Shreddies in the cupboard

When my niece born early at 28 weeks finally came home from hospital after 7 months of proving doctors wrong and my little boy finally got his first cuddle with her, his first born cousin. Pure elation on his face and just total love for her in his eyes. Most heart melting moment of my life.

Lisapaige24 · 13/07/2017 22:24

When I told my children we were going abroad for the very first time to Disney world Florida was overzealous screams of excitement but it was worth it to see how happy they were and that was before they went once we got there that excitement didn't end

Elliepurpleflower · 13/07/2017 22:37

My daughter, a few months ago (2), became very entranced while we watched the gruffalo on DVD. She made massive gasps, with a huge wide open mouth and her whole body went tense!

theresamustgo · 13/07/2017 22:56

Holidays and trips to seaside produce lots of leaping, dancing, shrieking and spontaneous rapping in DS. He gets sooooo excited.

In Laura Ashley of all places, did was 5 and broke down when we said she couldn't have a £15 Jelly Cat unicorn, the thing is it wasn't a temper tantrum she was sobbing like her heart was broken. On the way back to the car she was still crying and saying
"But what if she had to live somewhere where they don't love her like I do"
DH went back for the unicorn and
DD cried for another half an hour when we gave it to her, it has sleepy with pride of place next to her every night since!

Many years ago our dearest friends child was staying with us for the weekend. We had been out to dinner but he hadn't eaten much. On the way home he started asking for chips so we stopped at a takeaway and bought some, the look of delight on his face as he munched through them was priceless, when he had finally finished he turned round and sighed "lovely chips, they were the best chips I've had in my whole life" He had just turned 3 Grin
He was then so overcome with satiety and happiness he sang "lovely chips" all the way home!!

When my daughter won a raffle competition she was so happy

cwalliss82 · 14/07/2017 05:32

My DDs reaction to anything exciting is with squeals that are only audible to our dog. She is ear-piercing and more high-pitched than is humanly possible.

Bellroyd · 14/07/2017 07:01

My eldest used to struggle to contain his emotions, particularly when he was in trouble with one of us and couldn't find the words to respond. On many occasions he has just run away for an hour or two, then it's all forgotten when he's back home.

Being able to say what you want to say when you want to say it is something we all struggle with at times.

Maria27567 · 14/07/2017 07:16

Where ever my husband gets in from work our 22 month old dances with excitement of seeing him! It's the loveliest thing to see 😍😍

phillie1 · 14/07/2017 08:13

When she was so excited at meeting Belle at Disneyland Paris, she asked if she could show Belle, the Belle knickers she was wearing that day!

del2929 · 14/07/2017 09:32

cluckyhen · 14/07/2017 09:47

My DS is ASD and has always struggled to contain his emotions but the one that sticks was taking him to a dinosaur park in Germany. He ran around roaring for the whole day but in his element. No meltdowns - just glee

buckley1983 · 14/07/2017 10:11

I took my son (then aged 3) to Thomas Land for a birthday treat - he was absolutely beside himself!! He had to do several frenzied laps round the Fat Controller statue until I could focus him enough to choose the first ride he wanted to go on! Brilliant though - I tend to ride that wave of excitement with him - it's the only way!

AR2012 · 14/07/2017 10:46

When its his brithday he cant hold back the excitement as all eyes are on him.
