In light of the release of The Emoji Movie at Cinemas on August 4 (previews August 2 & 3), Sony Pictures would like to hear about the moments when your children haven’t been able to contain their emotions.

Here’s what Sony Pictures has to say: “The Emoji Movie unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone. Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the Code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.”

See the trailer for The Emoji Movie below:

The Emoji Movie is at Cinemas August 4 (previewing on August 2 & 3). Find out more about The Emoji Movie on Facebook.

So, whether your child has been a little too excited about an upcoming holiday, can’t hold back their laughter at inappropriate times or jumps up and down when they’re happy, share this below.

Thanks and good luck!

One of the most exciting moments for my DC is the arrival at a holiday destination - running into the cottage, discovering their room, checking out the garden. It's lovely to see them so excited about it. Also there's quite often a running embrace & excastic dance routine when their cousins arrive!

On Christmas morning my DS who was then 3 was so excited that FC had been that he wretched and then had to lie in our bed shaking for ten minutes while the adrenaline dispersed.

My kids are pretty excited about the emoji movie actually and go bonkers whenever we pass a billboard, or see a tv ad for it. For some reasons emoji's get them ridiculously excited.

When they were little I told them the poo emoji was a chocolate icecream emoji Grin

Literally today when DD parcel arrived containing her new pink TUTU she was so excited she wouldn't even focus to open box - 2 hours before she was calm enough to put it on x x

We had a new baby this year, DC4, and while I was pregnant we had a scan to find out the sex so that we could tell our other DC - then aged 7yo, 5yo, and 2yo. We bought a helium balloon and hid it inside a box. When we got home we put it in the middle of the living room for them to open, the idea was that the balloon would give them their surprise and it would be this lovely moment we could treasure forever.

I sat back with my phone to video the moment.

Together they opened the box and out drifted a pink balloon stamped with "It's a girl!".

5yo DD began whooping and cheering "It's a girl! Oh yeah! It's a girl!"

2yo DS screeched "balloon! BALLOOOOOOOON! It's MIIIINE!" and shoved 5yo DD out of the way in order to snatch the balloon out of the air. He then began triumphantly waving back and forth, oblivious to the fact that it indicated he was getting a new sister and that his existing sister was now crying due to being shoved over.

7yo DS, silent up until now, turned to the camera and attempted to smile. "It's a girl?" he asked. I nodded. The smile crumbled, his lip trembled, "I'm so disappointed!" he cried as he flung himself face down on the sofa and started sobbing.

Ah, precious memories!

My little girl is a bundle of excitement and happiness
I purchased a new dress for her on saturday and left it hanging downstairs, whilst I was in the den upstairs - as soon as she came in I heard
'NO WAY, AWESOME, ARGHHHH, SQUEAL.....'
Then I heard her jumping up and down, then she ran up three flights of stairs to jump up and down, with a huge smile to tell me I'm the most awesome mum ever!!!

My littlest finds it hard controlling his emotions whilst watching films, he gets caught up in the drama, the excitement, the romance...he'll be shouting one minute, cheering the next, laughing his head off and then sobbing at other parts! Disney films are normally a sobathon in this house!

DD was given another girls jumper to take home in the last week of term. I don't know why, but she found this hilarious. She got the giggles, and laughed so hard she cried, to the extent other kids thought she was upset and the teacher came over to apologise for making the mistake!! We had to keep explaining that she was just laughing!!

WheresTheCoffee · 29/07/2017 07:39

We've not seen it yet but every time we drive past a bus stop advert they are both leaping about in their car seats!
I think we need to go soon

danigrace · 30/07/2017 19:10

This is a really fun movie concept :-)

Our little one could not hold in her excitement the first time she wore sunglasses, repeatedly proudly exclaiming 'glasses!' with an ear to ear grin and refusing to take them off or let anyone near them all afternoon!

Rae1000 · 30/07/2017 20:45

When we wake the kids in the middle of the night to go on holiday. It is the best thing ever for them. DD particularly doesn't think it is a holiday if we don't get up in the middle of the night!

andbabymakesthree · 30/07/2017 22:49

Meeting their baby brother. They were so so excited!

So many emotions - where to start.

Suprised the boys with a trip to Thomas Land in June.
Got up one morning and said "I think I want to go to Thomas Land today"
Eldest (5) was bouncing around. Yes greatest day ever.
Youngest (4) wasnt sure he wanted to go as grandad had said they could have a sleep over at the weekend and going would mean he missed that.
So then we said grandad might want to come too...shall we go ask (he lives up the street and we had arranged for grandma and grandad to come too). But youngest still said no, he wanted a sleepover at grandad's.
We spent ages explaining that grandad was coming too and we were indeed staying over at Thomas Land and he could stay in grandads room...but we still had tears cose he wanted so much to sleep over at grandads but also to go to Thomas Land. It was all too much for him bless.

My nephew was super cute today shouting Auntie and jumping up and down whilst we were watching trains. He was so excited each time the train on a model track came through the tunnel. He was like a little tigger just jumping up and down pointing.

lucyrobinson · 02/08/2017 17:47

My son is 6 and today his face was a picture. He couldn't contain his excitement. He got his first wobbly tooth. He was over the moon. Jumping around and grinning from ear to ear.
